Yogi Surprise has also had a jewelry subscription for a year or so now. Subscribers get two pieces of yoga inspired jewelry and a snack. I love yoga jewelry and all things earth bling, so I had to subscribe!

Pacari Small Batch Artisan Chocolate - Value $5.99

I was excited to see this chocolate in the box; it's actually won awards, and I love dark chocolate. I was then pretty bummed to see that it had already started to turn white. To be honest, I didn't try it... I'm sure it's fine, but I don't like to think of how old it might be. This is a pretty common occurrence with chocolate in subscription boxes.

I reached out to Yogi Suprise and they credited my account for next month.

Golden Jasper Adjustable 'Grounding' Bracelet - Listed Value $38

I love this bracelet! Jasper is so good for grounding / root chakra. I always wear it when I'm traveling. I love the unique square stones, too!

Amethyst Stalactite Slice 'Be Healed' Necklace - Listed Value $85

This necklace is ideal for me. Purple is my favorite color, and this is a beautiful stone! Plus I prefer long-ish necklaces. Another win!

Verdict: I loved the jewelry this month! Both pieces were huge wins for me. It's too bad about the chocolate, but I probably didn't need it anyway. As always, I think the retail prices listed are a little high, but the contents of this box are definitely worth the $25 to me.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with chocolate that has bloomed, and it is definitely not an indication of how old it is. This happens because the sugar in the chocolate re-crystallizes and is precipitated onto the surface causing that hazy gray/white appearance. Usually, chocolate that has been stored improperly or exposed to extreme temperature changes will look like this. If you don’t believe me, throw a brand new bag of chocolate chips into the fridge and the next day you will see that they will all be starting to turn white. They won’t taste any different!

I want that necklace so bad but $85 to swap seems excessive. Maybe someone will want to swap for less… It is really pretty

Chocoalte bloom can happen when the chocolate gets to a certain temperature and then re-solidfies – it’s the fat of the cocoa or sometimes the sugar rising to the top. It shouldn’t actually affect the flavor at all. 🙂

Love that necklace though!
