Good To Know: Sci-Fi Block, like all other Nerd Blocks, does not have a monthly theme - but you will know at least a couple of the franchises that will be in the box before it ships.
Each month comes with an information card detailing each item in your box.
They've included $10 vouchers for both ShirtBlock and their new Nerd Block Store. The store was supposed to launch today - but it's not available at the time of this review.
Blade Runner Shirt - Value $15?
I love this month's shirt. It features Blade Runner and is a call-out to the end of the movie where Deckard found the origami unicorn. I seriously need to rewatch this movie!
Mystery Science Theater 3000 4-Pack DVD - Value $20 on Amazon
YES! It's been too long since I've watch MST3K, too! This collector's tin features 4 films.
This is called the Turkey Day collection!
The tin is loaded with goodness.
You'll get a mini-poster for each film in the set along with the DVD.
Finally - here are all 4 films included in the set. I grew up on these - they never get old for me!
When Dinosaurs Ruled The Earth Scarf - Value $15-20?
For the third time in this unboxing, I was just so excited for an item - I can't get enough of this scarf.
It's felt well-made and heavy - perfect for the coming winter.
This was an amazing cinematic experience for myself when I was around 10 years old. The first time you saw the T-Rex, it was a special moment!
Judge Dredd Year One Omnibus - Value $7.99
The Judge Dredd item this month is the Year One mass-market paperback book - but with an exclusive variant cover!
From Amazon:
Three celebrated Judge Dredd writers take you back to Dredd’s first year on the streets of Mega- City One as a full-eagle Judge, in three thrilling novellas.
Bred to dispense Justice, the young Dredd is not the wizened veteran we know, but a Judge with built-in determination and little experience. In City Fathers, the brutal murder of a Justice Department-sanctioned spy uncovers something new and dangerous in the sector’s murky black market. Unless Dredd can stop it, chaos will be unleashed.
In Cold Light of Day, a savage killing spree results in the deaths of two highlyregarded Judges, and many consider Dredd to be responsible: a decision he made five years earlier – while he was still a cadet – has come back to haunt him. The third story in the collection will debut in this collection and is guaranteed to thrill.
Star Wars Zombie Print - Value $10?
They've included a fun print just in time for Halloween as well.
This print is from Fredrik Eden and depicts your favorite group of heroes as zombies!
Alien Abduction Pin - Value $5?
The final item of the month is an exclusive pin. I'm not big on pins, but I really like the design this month!
Verdict: This might be one of my favorite Sci-Fi Blocks to-date. I had multiple excitement gasps - which makes for a fun unboxing experience! From the shirt to the DVD's - I think this month was a major win.
