The theme for the October 2016 Play! By Sephora subscription box is The Cool Cut:

This month, PLAY! by SEPHORA is bringing you innovative formulas and indie finds with a selection of the coolest must-have products.

A few weeks ago, there was a video of alleged spoilers posted on youtube that was NOT Confirmed. The forum shared it and discussed it here.

Were these the real spoilers? Maybe...

Today, our anonymous tipster is back with potential spoiler info:

These are NOT confirmed spoilers, and there will be product variation as well. More from anonymous:

"The potential brands are mostly what others have already guessed, like Too Cool for School, Belif, Drunk Elephant, Skin Inc, Nudestix, Blinc, Verb, Madam CJ Walker, Derek Lam, and Tom Ford."

What do you think of the spoiler lists? Which one (if either) do you think is accurate?

I think the list provided by anonymous matches the theme of the month better than the youtube video, plus anonymous has provided accurate spoiler info for us twice before.

Hopefully, we get more info soon! In the meantime, we can hypothesize!

I got my 106 the other day and that coconut hair oil made my hair greasy. I used the tiniest bit and yuck. Straight in the trash. The rest of the products are nice although unimpressed with the Edit Lip gloss. Does nothing but make my lips ultra sticky. That too went in the trash. Not trying to be negative but I am unsure why everyone is so amazed by Sephora Play. This is my 2nd box and its not that exciting for me. Also may I ask, what does everyone go with the bags??

I just used two of the bags to fill with birthday gifts. One for my niece and one for a friend. I’m definitely saving the lipstix and chill bag to hold gifts – too cute!

Not sure if this is a hint at what I’m getting but when I click on my tracking for Oct box and scroll down it has a section of “You may like” products which lists products from these brands

Those are all the brands in the 072 box.

Did you happen to be looking at any of those products prior to your box shipping? The reason I’m asking is because the items being shown under the “You may also like” section in my Account are items I had previously been looking at, and none of the items shown were items that had been mentioned as possible spoilers (they were items I usually re-order, and had recently clicked on). Who knows, though! Looking forward to my box !

Mine also ends in 072, arriving tomorrow. Am I the only one who doesn’t want to know what’s in my box until I open it? For me, the suspense and secrecy are part of the fun!

My box # is 1850106 …whatever that means! I thought both unconfirmed spoilers looked …interesting. I can’t wait to see what my bag holds. Really smart of them not to release spoilers. I think there’s more buzz around this month’s box than I’ve seen in a while.

I’m liking it except for the lip gloss in a red shade. Hopefully, I won’t get that. Don’t these companies understand that not a lot of women wear red lippy? Partly b/c you need to have really white teeth and many skin tones just can’t carry it. *sigh* Please! All sub companies, NO MORE RED!

I bought the Milk holographic – full size, full price – a few months ago and it’s now languishing in a drawer somewhere.
Although the cool tone works for my super-pale skin, it just looked awful. Better suited to a tween – greasy and ghastly.
So, my wish is for the second spoiler to be The One. The Christophe Robin mask is a real treat.

Hum, this doesn’t seem quite right. Three skincare products? Two lip products? That’s not as even as the usual spread. I was very excited when I saw the previous set of spoilers, true, but those also made a little more sense to me.

My box will be here tomorrow too. Still nothing listed under the Play Products on my Sephora Account. I would prefer the first “spoiler” I’m way more excited about those options than the second “spoiler” list. I do not need any more lip products, so two in this one is less than ideal. I’m also never ever a fan of the perfume sample. It would be nice if we could choose the perfume sample.

I didn’t get an email this month either, but on my account it is scheduled to arrive today.

I’ve been subscribed for 5 months and my purchase date is the 4th of the month and my ship date is the 13th every month. I don’t know if any one else’s accounts are like that or if it is just mine.

I contacted customer service at Sephora last month, when it seemed like everyone had already received their boxes and I had not. They told me that everyone should receive a box by the 20th of the month. We still have a couple of days.

Mine is still pending on the site as well. I am interested to see what the boxes contain. I have a Christopher Robin hair mask from another sub (maybe last year Net-a-Porte and I HATE the smell! It reminds me of a hair mask my mother, or maybe grandmother, used back in the 70’s. The rest of the items look nice enough. Somehow the timing never works well for me to redeem the points … I find myself at Sephora literally the day before my box arrives.

Can’t wait to see what those who get their boxes today and tomorrow post for variations!

I wouldn’t worry yet – I’ve gotten the box since the first one, and on average it is shipped between the 15th and 18th of the month, depending on how the dates fall – given that the 15th was a Saturday, they should probably be shipping today and tomorrow.

I thought the same thing. I never got an email! But than I looked at my orders. The website is tricky with the mobile version. But I found that it shipped that way
