Gentleman’s Box Subscription Review + Coupon– October 2016

This post may contain referral/affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

Gentleman’s Box is a monthly subscription box for men “providing the essential elements suited for today’s gentleman.”

The packaging on this box is really top notch – I love the wood-look box! Their website has other month’s box contents, and the value is recently consistently over $70.00.

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

The Subscription Box: Gentleman’s Box

The Cost: $25.00/month

COUPON: Use coupon code MSA5 to save $5 off of your first box!

The Products: High quality, unique men’s accessories

The Gentleman’s Box includes a small glossy pamphlet with all of the items you receive in the box detailed, as well as a profile of a featured member. This month the theme is “Our Favorite Voice.”

One thing to note, and I’m assuming it is because I receive a review box, is that I don’t get the monthly edition of GQ that is usually included. So that is an additional value that you won’t see in my reviews.

If you’re curious about the contents of previous month’s boxes, I would recommend taking a peek at the slider on the bottom of their website.

Gentlemen Essentials Pocket Square – Value $15.00

This is an exclusive pocket square made for this box. I can’t find the fabric content listed in the brochure or on the item itself but it definitely seems like it will be stiff enough to hold its shape well. The orange stitching along the outside matches the socks for this month too!

EEZY Wear Tie – Bae’s Choice – Value $23.00

This tie is 100% cotton and the colors are perfect for a go-to tie. It is on the thinner side, so it’s definitely in vogue and the fabric makes a nice knot. The color is perfect for all seasons too…which makes this pretty much the perfect tie.

Unsimply Stitched Socks – Mixed Herringbone – Value $12.00

These socks are a mix of grays, orange, and it looks like some navy thrown in. They are made out of cotton, polyamide and elastane, which makes a for a great sock that keeps it’s shape and color. These, as Gentleman’s Box says in the brochure, are perfect to add a bit of color to a gray suit.

Dead Soxy Shoe Laces – Value $8.00

These laces were put in the box in respect and observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.” These laces are 26 inches long, which Dead Soxy says is the perfect length for shoes with 4 eyes.

Gentleman Box Collar Bar – Value $20.00

This collar bar is really interesting – I’ve never seen anything like it! But then again, I’m not in the habit of wearing ties. This is designed to go under your tie knot to raise it a bit and to keep your collars corralled and in place. The man behind the inspiration for this box “Our Favorite Voice,” was known for wearing them too, which makes them a great addition to the box.

It looks like a bow from the side…pretty sure that’s not the point, though.

Bonus: Boomer & Co. Body Wash Citrus & Cedar – Value $3.97

This all-natural body wash (and shampoo) smells bright and citrusy, by woodsy at the same time. I really like the scent included this month. The body wash isn’t drying and is definitely one of the more manly scents on the market.

Verdict: The value of this Gentleman’s Box is about $81.97, including the bonus item from Boomer & Co. All of the items in the box felt Fall appropriate in colors and fabrics, and the pink shoe laces are a nice nod to Breast Cancer Awareness month. My husband will get quite a bit of use out of the tie and socks, while the pocket square and collar bar will probably be pulled out for more special occasions.

Have you tried Gentleman’s Box yet?

Bekki first discovered subscription boxes in 2014 and they quickly took over her life! (Not quite, but pretty close.) She started with POPSUGAR Must Have, then moved to Little Lace Box, Birchbox, Hamptons Lane…the rest was history. Her favorite product find is Beekman 1802 Fudge (so, so good) and her favorite boxes are Birchbox and Hamptons Lane…but she’s always looking for a new subscription to try!

  1. GB is the only men’s sub box I now subscribe too. Awesome customer service and it’s a help to have coordinated pieces every month. I doubt that I would ever spend the time trying to buy individual pieces which work well together. I’ve purchased some past boxes to donate to soldiers returning home.

    • Very thoughtful to do that for our soldiers and a great idea!!
