Each Fun Fly Fabulous box includes a note from the founder. This month’s theme is “Bold & Beautiful Box”.

Wall Art - Value ?

This is a colorful 5"x7" art card with the saying, “BE You TIFUL”. This a reminder to “Be You” and be “the most authentic you”. I will need to find an appropriate frame for this card. I appreciate the encouragement from this.

Fabulous & faithful: 31-Day Devotional - Value $20

This is a bonus item for the September box. Books were randomly placed in some subscriber’s boxes. I look forward to beginning this devotional on October 1stFrom their website:

Over the course of 31 days, Fabulous & Faithful inspires women to own their crown and reign over every hardship, obstacle, and destructive habit that comes between them and the joy and fulfillment that they were destined to have. It will challenge you to transform your thoughts and habits into tools that will help you overcome hurdles such as lacking confidence and courage.

Within each reading, Dr. Keita Joy shares her own struggles toward a stronger faith and deeper sense of self-love and personal power through Christ. This powerful devotional will help you break through levels of success and happiness that you have not yet even imagined. You will discover the fuel you need to strut your heels from a place of authority and anointing.

Prepare to explore your most intimate truths as you claim your divine right to a personal and professional life that is filled with love, laughter, and luxury—one day at a time.

Hydrating Facial Sheet Mask (Pre-Party Prep) - Total Value $10.70 USD ($5.35 USD a packet)

I love facial sheet masks and have a small stash on hand for my spa days I have at home. This mask preps your skin for a night on the town. It achieves the perfect canvas for your makeup application. I applied the mask for 20 minutes (recommended time 10-20 minutes) and my skin felt tight, smooth and hydrated. I especially enjoyed the cooling sensation I felt while the mask was on. This was a treat since California has been hot!

Sleek Play: Restyle Pliable Hold Fiber Crème - Total Value: $27.98 ($13.99 a jar)

This crème is a "pliable hold styling putty that creates and adds texture to short to medium hair styles. Ideal for style memory, and re-styling thermal styles.”

Sleek Play: Freestyle Sculpting & Finishing Putty - Total Value: $27.98 ($13.99 a jar)

This finishing putting contains Goji Seed Oil and Monoi Oil and is a "medium hold styling putty designed to sculpt, spike and add volume to short styles. Ideal for spiked, textured, messy styles.”

I normally wear my hair in braids and already use Crème of Nature Perfect Edges to hold down my edges. So, I will pass these products on to my sister.

Spoiler Alert:

The October box is in collaboration with the upcoming film, Almost Christmas. Boxes are now for sale and shipping begins October 21st.

Verdict: The September Fun Fly Fabulous box has a value of about $87 (not including the art card). This and previous boxes have been lacking the lifestyle component and have been heavy on makeup and beauty products. I've enjoyed the beauty products but would like to see more of a variety of products. The products once again matched their "Bold & Beautiful" theme.

The book is a bonus item… so the box is supposed to bd just doubles of two different hair products, a print, and 2 sheet masks? That’s awful.

I really like that book.

I know I’m probably going to get slack for this, but it irks me when non-religious subs send out religious/faith based items (like this book).

I also agree with what you said in regards to more variety. Dupes in the same month is not exciting! Especially at $13.99 a jar, that’s $27.98 that could’ve been used on something awesome!

In past months I’ve found this box to be pretty well put together, but this moth is a pretty big flop IMO.

I’m glad I wasn’t the only one! I went to their website to see if they are intentionally a faith-based sub box after seeing the book included. It doesn’t make sense to me at all (and I subscribe to faith-based/religious boxes).

I agree Amber. Faith is too personal to base a random item on- even a bonus one. It strikes me as highly presumptuous to send a specifically Christian item. And without the book, this box is incredibly lacking.

Totally agree.

Same here. I have (thankfully) never gotten a religious item in a subscription box and wouldn’t want one. (Well, OK, I got a mini Lakshmi statue in a box once, but I knew to expect something like that going in. It was an India/yoga box and that type of item was clearly listed on the sub’s website as a possibility.)

I think there is a market for faith-based subscriptions, and I think there is a market for lifestyle subscriptions, and while there is some overlap, the boxes need to be up front about that possibility if they are going to include faith-based items (from any faith). Because some people are going to opt out (but also, people seeking religious items may opt in — it goes both ways).

No slack from me – I had the exact same thought when I saw the book!!
