Birchbox October 2016 Box Reveals Are Up!

Im not happy this month at all. I get four boxes and three are exactly the same and all bad. That’s never happened before. Now my ipsy on the other hand was amazing this month!

Finally cancelled mine and it feels great…..the samples are ridiculously small lately and I don’t want more shampoo or mascara!

I just looked at the spoilers for my box & theres 2 macaras, WTH! Plus dry shampoo. I keep getting dry shampoo/conditioner, I give bad reviews because I want to stop getting them but doesn’t seem to do anything. This has gotta be my worst box yet.

I got more dry shampoo. Sigh. I don’t use dry shampoo, hate the stuff actually. I have no idea why I keep getting dry shampoo….

I wI’ll use the rest of the items but that’s 4 tiny items I will use and a really nice sized dry shampoo I won’t. It is a good size, all the rest of the samples are tiny.

Okay, my peeve with BB is the packaging. Are the tubes overly large to give you the impression of more product? The majority of the samples I receive from BB already have a divet in them—before I’ve even opened them!!

Most of the time, I check for leaks and see that the tamper foil is still attached. I typically have to do the toothpaste squeegee to get product out of the tube.

This month I got the curated box (Liz’s recommendation on the Glam Glow) and the upper 1/3 of the tube is empty. I thought it was just me but I’ve watched the BB monthly videos and see they nearly fold the tube in half to get any product out.

– Shu Uemera Cleansing Oil Shampoo (nice brand, probably not great for my oily hair)

Sigh. This is a nice enough box. I’m just over Birchbox, I think.

I will gladly try root touch up (hope for the right color) , Tata Harper is hopefully a bomb ! Foil shampoo and conditioner will always find a use. Happy to try Mally ( only wish it would be something else than mascara). And now I need to go buy a blow dryer so I can try Parlor 🙂

Not an awesome box.

I have no complaints this month because I ordered the Sample box.. The Total resurfacing mask.. My choice. This peek inside shows a Foundation product… That’s different and it is Sheer coverage which is my presence.. Getting Anoka hair mask.. that’s good..So far 3 Great products.. The Mally Mascara ..make that 4 Greats. 2 Parlor shampoo n conditioner.. I like Parlor but geezz.. Enough is enough of that brand. I ordered the Curated Box also soon this is a Happy month.. But.. Still upset at the Points earn change.. Nay still cancel soon.

Last months was awesome for me so of course this months is awful:

Juice beauty cleansing milk-my choice i’m meh on the brand but maybe it will help the burn the tata harper mask gave me.

Dr.Brant Microdermabrasion-I didn’t choose this for a reason BB. Any MD scrub/Resurfacing mask I have tried has either broken me out/given me an allergic reaction or has burned my skin.

Amika Mask- Okay, I’m not a fan of the brand though.

Make lipstick-I like small lipsticks because I change my products often so this might be okay. At least it isn’t a liquid lipstick or matte.

Comptoir Sud Pacifique Vanilla amber- I like fragrance samples for the same reason as I like lipstick samples. This sounds lovly and up my alley.

At least there isn’t a blow dry product (I don’t even own a blow dryer)

I’m so disappointed with birchbox!!! I waited like a kid for the ice cream man, anticipation galore….only to have a freezer burned inedible ice cream. What I received was some shampoo and conditioner samples that were comparable to any mediocre Vegas hotel. First box seemed like someone just threw stuff in it last minute, from their hotel own stash ? IPSY beats this box all day. I’ve gotten a second, not nearly as disappointing, but the target box was 100 times better, at least it was an ounce of conditioner. I’ve given most of both boxes away. Honestly, how are you supposed to make a judgement on a nickel size amount of a product you can use once? If this month sucks, I’m canceling, I don’t care if they can afford a commercial now ? You can get the same samples from Macy’s if you are frugal and go to the mall. I live on an island, subscription boxes are necessities. Birchbox..there’s competition now, please up your game.

I’m pretty happy with my box! I’ve skipped the sample choice the last few months, and I’m finding that my boxes are actually better (more suited to my preferences.)

This is only my second box in over 1 1/2 years and I understand why I canceled that long ago too.

I got two boxes this month to use up my points so I can unsubscribe. Glad I got the curated box for $5 with few shipping too!

My box won’t show. Says their getting it ready… I don’t know if it’s just me but I seems like I’m getting my boxes later and later in the month. Starting to get really aggravated by it…

I’m so glad I didn’t waste my money this month on Birchbox. Cancelling the sub this month was more exciting than the samples they are sending 🙂

Overall, I’m pretty happy with my box! There are three new products I’m looking forward to trying, and two new-to-me brands.

I purchased the curated box when it was offered and I am honestly more excited about it. I would be happy about the root touch up if it was the correct shade, so I am going to contact CS and see if they will send a darker color.
