BarkBox customizes your box to your dog’s size. For reference, this review is for the small size (our dog weighs 14 pounds). Check out Ragan's review of this month's box for large dogs!

Every BarkBox has a theme - this month is 'Are You Afraid of the Bark?' - how perfect is that!?
Let's start with this month's toys!
Ryder's Bewitching Broomstick - Value $8
Our first toy was a plush broomstick - it's got a squeaker in the handle, also. Surprisingly, Buckles was not into this toy (and it seemed perfect for him!), but fear not, it has found a home with a very happy pup!
Rest in Pieces Tombstone - Value $12
This is one of my favorite toys from BarkBox ever - it made me chuckle!
It's plush and squeaky with a 'Here Lies Squirrel' headstone! That's pretty cute.
Again, it seemed like he'd be into this toy as well - but this is the only split second of him caring about it at all - lots of other pups got some new toys to play with, though!
Beef Bites - Value $9
These littles bites are THE favorite of the month! Buckles has been pretty jealous lately since we've been testing out a spicy beef jerky subscription. Luckily, I had these ready to make sure he didn't feel left out.
They're small squares, perfectly bite-size for our small dog.
He's a pro at modeling.
These are the current go-to treat in the house. He loves them, and they're not too big of a treat - it's a win-win.
Ghoul Gobblers - Value $6
The second bag of treats features a duck and pumpkin blend.
They're shaped like little ducks, too!
I'd say he was pretty excited about the next taste test.
Again, another win this month - while he still prefers the first treats, he doesn't turn these away when he's offered them.
Doggie Delights Sliced Femur - Value $5
We don't give these kinds of chews to Buckles because of his stomach - so they're always gifted to a lucky pup. This month's rawhide choice feels a little more substantial than their typical pig ear, though.
Verdict: Two soft toys and two perfect treats - it was a really good month of BarkBox. On top of a good product selection, I thought the Halloween design was fun and silly for the toys, good job! The value is good too - this box is a $40 value - they've been doing a great job at stay around the same value point for a couple of months now.
What do you think of the October BarkBox? What Halloween toys did your dog get?
