I just subscribed in May. I will be canceling. If you take your items and divide them by 40.00 you are getting ripped off. I cant even describe the posty notes finger nail clippers and lint rollers. In Sept box the hat was the feature. So you might buy that for 10 or 15 dollars cash in the real world…and then divide the lint roller nail clippers etc by the rest of the money…not even worth it.

Stfne

Do a Google shopping search for wool hat. The vast majority of comparable options are at least $20. And you will not find the Briogeo hair mask at a price less than $36. A similar manicure kit might cost only $8. You can get a lint roller cheaper than a Flint, but i think the biggest appeal is that it’s retractable. If I’d known this existed before now, I’d have a stockpile already. It’s definitely worth the extra few bucks to keep my roller free of pet hair until I need to use it. If you don’t like or won’t use the products, it’s not worth it. But you could not buy each of these items alone for less than $40.

What we envision:
Hot cocoa, cozy mittens, Halloween treats

What we will get:
A blue scarf, blue tassel earrings and pumpkin lotion.

I jest. After a two month hiatus, I resubbed.

I just cancelled, because really, I could buy any of the stuff I really want way cheaper

Kerri

I don’t get this box? Last month all you ladies paid $40 for sticky notes, blush, a bag, charger and popcorn. I’ve been watching this box very closely and no way would I pay $40 for this box, or any other box they offer. I just can’t do it. My husband would roll his eyes and laugh at me so hard if I paid $40 for popcorn and sticky notes hahaha. I would be embarrassed to tell anyone. I was going to sub a few months ago, but the items are getting worse IMO. I’ll just hope that they do the mystery boxes again, I really liked those. I got 2 boxes and again IMO those were way better than their monthly sub and $20 cheaper.

Beth

Yes Yes Yes girl. I haven’t ever subscribed and only bought the Mysterybox…. I did buy the mini, but only the first one then cancelled.

Kate

I frequently see items I like in PSMH boxes, but the price is a bit high for me too (especially for a surprise box). I have gotten two boxes on sale through Gilt City, so that also kills my urge to subscribe (since I’ve gotten things I know I want for cheaper).

That said, I love Pusheen Box, and I’m sure people laugh at me so hard for spending that much on cartoon kitty things! There’s a lot of things in boxes where the RV sounds ridiculous, and I wouldn’t pay that much for a high end bag/stationery/whatever, but everybody likes what they like 🙂

When is a “spoiler” not a spoiler? Could they be any more vague? I really don’t know why they even bother…..

Caitlyn

I wish the little pamphlet that comes with the box would talk more about why they picked the item, the company, and how the item works with the themes sent out. Covet Crate (at least the one month I got it) and Fabfitfun have great pamphlets, and I like getting more information about why a specific product was picked. As it is, these themes always leave me shrugging.

Traci

Those arms in that spoiler pic are scary looking….kinda Jack Skellington skin and bones

Reply ButtonReply

C.J.

That’s what made me subscribe today! If I got those arm warmer/gloves in the photo, I would be over the moon excited! From some of the comments on here, I’m guessing that it isn’t likely to be those though… Here’s hoping anyway.

Kirsty

When do they start mailing the boxes? October is my first book with them!

Reply ButtonReply

nelliebelle1197

I think it depends on when you subbed. I subbed for the first box a few years ago and since I started using that account again (I had a couple so I could use coupons), my boxes come really early. I already have it in hand and I swappable items packed up to go.

Reply ButtonReply

Mattie

I think on their website it states they mail before the 20th of each month but it seems as if they have multiple waves before then because my September box shipped on the 12th this month and others reported earlier dates than mine.

I know that’s not much help but I’d say to expect shipping midOctober and it comes slowly, at least for me, across a snails back labeled as Fedex SmartPost then handed off to USPS. My current expected delivery date is 9/21 and I wouldn’t be surprised if that gets pushed back as it comes closer. For some reason my boxes come from CA and I’m in the SouthEast. They also ship from NY so you’d think I get it from there but…Nope.

Anna

I remember about two years ago their October box had Pumpkin malt balls in it. And at least one other Halloween themed item. I loved that box! I hope they do something Halloween related!

Reply ButtonReply

Drea

Me too!!

Reply ButtonReply

Kori

I’m thinking that the two separate spoilers are not mutually exclusive. As in, the spoiler “Reinvention, Warm, Cozy, Inspiration, and Happy” fits into the broader “Home” spoiler. I think of it like spoilers get more and more specific the closer it actually gets to October.

Reply ButtonReply

Lily

Yep!! ^^

Reply ButtonReply

Linda

What happen to home is where your heart is?

Reply ButtonReply

My email also showed boxes stacked on a blue couch. We must be getting a couch….

Reply ButtonReply

C.J.

I saw a blue throw on that blue couch. Maybe a throw to go along with our couch? 😉

Reply ButtonReply

Beth

Omg so funny. The couch post and the throw with the couch…. I would totally sign up for 39.99 if that was the case and they can keep the umbrella…. I like the idea of the umbrella but i never ever use it.

Sophie

Those sleeve…extender…things remind me of something my mom would have come up with when my sisters old hand me downs didn’t quite fit right. Really hoping those aren’t in the box, otherwise HARD PASS.

Reply ButtonReply

missy

If you look on the website, there’s a clothing rack with clothes hanging on it, and one item looks like it’s a sweater that matches the sleeves shown in the pic above (the blue and white).

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

It looks like that is just part of the sweater not gloves or anything like that

Reply ButtonReply

Lily

Lol Jen I was about to say the same… I have a handful of sweaters like this!

Reply ButtonReply

Hildol

Unfortunately they wouldn’t send a sweater. Too many ranges of women’s sizes to do that

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

I know I was just pointing out that it doesn’t look gloves or anything like that.

Paula

I personally think these themes are a little silly. They only make sense part of the time, I love PS but I wonder why they even bother with the theme.

Reply ButtonReply

AmyM

Couldn’t agree more! And it always gets everyone upset when whatever our individual, totally subjective interpretations of the spoiler hints are don’t pan out. Like, my version of warm might be tea, someone else’s will be gloves, and then we get a hot pepper-infused water and no one is happy.

Reply ButtonReply

brit

I just need to tell you that I laughed so hard I cried when I read this. Literally cried. And I was laughing so loud that my daughter yelled at me to be quiet because my husband is in bed so I tried to go outside and laugh and I tripped and fell through my screen door and then I cried even louder!!! Woke up everyone in my house and probably the neighbors too!

Jen

Haha !!!

KarenG

“Hot pepper-infused water” made my day! ?
Watch that be the next “cold pressed juice”

stfne

Right?! They are almost always synonyms or variations of the same buzzwords over and over again, and the eventual connection to each box’s contents is tenuous at best. I think “warm” has been used in the theme at least three times since I’ve been a subscriber. And now the word “inspiration” IS the inspiration itself? I just come here for the comments. It’s interesting to see how others use these arbitrary words to decide whether to subscribe.

Reply ButtonReply

Kiales

I agree 100%. The themes are annoying, unrelated, and a waste of time (in my opinion). I wish they didn’t even bother haha

Reply ButtonReply

Mattie

Didn’t we just have a theme spoiler for October that was “Home is where the heart is” or something along those lines? I’m so confused now

Reply ButtonReply

Sara

That’s what I thought!! Something about home decor?

Reply ButtonReply

Nicole

My email included another picture with a mug of a coffee at the window that also includes this one of those Chemex coffee makers. They’ve shown a chemex a couple times now in the past couple months and I think now might be the time they send it. I’d be happy to receive it. No reason you couldn’t do coffee or tea in it, could please the masses.

Reply ButtonReply

Nicole

I’d also wear the heck out of those glove things pictured above. But I’d like it even more if it was one of those scarf with attached arm wrap things I’ve seen around. They’re usually one size and meant to go over whatever sweater or long sleeve you’re wearing.

Reply ButtonReply

sexylady651

I’m hoping for a faux fur throw. Fingers crossed.

Reply ButtonReply

nelliebelle1197

That was last winter’s thing.

Reply ButtonReply

Katy

Mittens. I guess mittens. With a matching knitted hat….

Reply ButtonReply

Sarah

I am guessing socks, they have been in last 2 October boxes

Reply ButtonReply

Amber P

These words all sound nice and make up a good theme, but I don’t think PSMH ever nails their theme so it’s never enough to make me jump. Their boxes have been so up and down for me lately, I really liked getting the past box that I ordered from Gilt City and really liked the mystery box which make me watch them more closely but I still haven’t been convinced to sign up.

Also, those glove things are ridiculous IMO and I’m certain that the “warm” will be pumpkin flavored coffee or something of that nature.

Reply ButtonReply

Laurie

I hope that neither Warm nor Cozy refers to those arm…things.

Reply ButtonReply

Kerry

Same here! Just awful.

Reply ButtonReply

Lauren

I couldn’t even tell those WERE arms at first!

Reply ButtonReply

Kristy

Hahahahahahahaha!! I was thinking the same thing!! Hoping for a throw blanket!

Reply ButtonReply

Lily

Sooo I’m guessing Lisa Sugar’s book ‘Power Your Happy’ will be in this box lol

Reply ButtonReply

Barbara

Sounds like the book will be the “inspiration” in this box

Reply ButtonReply

Lily

Yes! And/or the “happy” 😉

Steph R

I just got the spoiler email and I am totally going to sign up just for those gloves! (Or whatever they may be called….) I hope that same color will be in all of the boxes!

Reply ButtonReply

stfne

Items pictured in the spoiler theme photo are never included in the actual box. Sometimes they’re items from previous/LE boxes, but most of the time it seems random.

Reply ButtonReply

Joy

I wouldn’t jump too soon. This is just a spoiler for the theme, not for items.

Reply ButtonReply

Steph R

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Really???? I KNEW I should have waited for more spoilers. This is what happens when I’m bored at work.

And there had better NOT be a stupid book about “how to be happy.” I’m generally a very happy person. You know what makes me NOT happy, though? Misleading information on the spoilers in a sub box…..
