The Beauty Vault VIP subscription from Le Metier De Beaute is a luxury beauty subscription box that cost me $348 upfront for the entire year.

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Le Metier de Beaute Replenishing Oil Cleanser - Value $85

le-metier-de-beaute-september-2016-006

This is a foaming oil cleanser formula. You apply two pumps to dry skin, massage in, then rinse with water.

I love this formula! It's gentle, smells fresh, and it did a great job removing my makeup without drying out my skin.

And unlike last month, this month Le Metier de Beaute, included a letter from the Director of Skincare detailing the benefits of the cleansing oil, and we get ingredients, too:

(This formula is paraben and alcohol free, too!)

Verdict: This box has an $85 value for a $29 cost - amazing! This item is such a win for me - it's a luxe skincare product, I love the formula, and I feel like this will work well for most subscribers, too.

What do you think of the September Beauty Vault VIP box?

I was going to join two years ago then I looked at the ingredients for their make-up 🙁 too many parabens, and at that price I know they can afford to make them better quality ingredients! Love their packaging but until I see a steady stream of products like this month I am not buying.

Really happy with how this year is going so far!

Me too! This cleanser is such a luxe item, and I can’t imagine paying $85 for a cleanser, so it is great to get to try full-size at such a discount!

Already it looks much better than last year. They had me furious last year!

I didn’t subscribe last year, so I’m not familiar with what they sent. What were the issues?

MyMilkShake

check out the makeup talk boards – there are quite a few people that discussed it. people more familiar with producing makeup could articulate it better – and they did over there.

MyMilkShake

I didnt subscribe again because of all the cheap products they tried passing off as their own. My lipstick barrels shook, the eye shadows were clearly not the quality of their main brands, and overall just not what it was the year prior. It’s good they are fulfilling this years subscription nicely – but I won’t buy another product of theirs again bc of last year. And I was a loyal customer (have a lot that I bought from dept stores).

When does the subscription become available to join? Is it around the same time every year?

Of course, now it’s showing…. weird! But it’s funny that it was showing when I first posted it two hours ago, and now when I’m back on (I can’t help but check MSA multiple times/day 🙂 ) it was gone, and then after I made my 2nd comment it automatically came back!

Hi Luna,

So sorry! Not sure why that comment was pending and not auto-approved but I took care of it. Sorry again! And thanks for sharing that info! 🙂

Luna

Hmmm… it looks like my reply to you was taken down. I wonder if it was because I copied & pasted text from Le Métier’s website (which I stated I did for transparency)???

Anyways, to answer your question, their subscription becomes available one time per year, and this year it became available in May.

Oooh, nice! Even though I know a cleansing oil is a cleansing oil, I too can appreciate indulging in the occasional luxe skincare item every once in a while. I have my stash of luxe cleansing oils/balms which all feel lovely on the skin and work well too, but I’ve also tried drugstore ones that feel (and work) just as good. This box is definitely tempting as it’s an awesome way to try a luxe brand on the cheap. I just don’t want to commit to a whole year. Sad! I’m looking forward to future reviews! 🙂

I’ll keep the reviews coming! 🙂 And I really hope they offer a monthly or at least a 6-month option in the future!

Looks like a great sub with a wonderful value! It might be a steep buy in for most tho- $350 all at once :/

For that price I would do a Robb Vices sub…I have plenty of beauty as it is and I covet a RV sub!

They were awful last year. Sent items that were subpar – repackaged other lower end products. Check out makeuptalk thread for more info.

Agree, the value is fab, I just wish they offered a monthly option! 🙁
