  1. Omg this is so exciting!! I love ten-twelve of these products!! So I have a good chance of getting good stuff right?!? Probably wrong BC ipsy seems to screw me every month lately 🙁

I would love that tatcha cleansing oil, the vintage shadow, that baby blue or purple nail polish, either of the pretty red lipsticks, the nyx silver liner…a few more, omg I’m hopeful!!! Please please don’t let me down…again ipsy!

  2. Dear ipsy,

Please send the four liquid eye liners and the blush brush. I love you…

Of course, that’s not how it will go down.

  3. My perfect box would be below, but will never happen; not enough make-up.
Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II
    Dermelect Rapid Repair Facial Moisturizer
Trust Fund Beauty Gimme Good Face – Face Primer
PUR Cosmetics Dirty Girl Detoxifying Mudd Masque with Pascalite Clay
noyah Natural Lipstick in Smoke or Currant News

  4. I don’t subscribe anymore, but this does look like a good month! I use the Estee Lauder advanced night repair as a second/third favorite when I am out of my Paula’s Choice. I have relatively sensitive skin that tolerates that serum. Not even subscribed but my dreambag would include mostly these products:
    JoShik Polish in LUXE
Lottie London Perfectly Precise Eyeshadow Brush
Preventive Measures 101 Lips 101 After Hours
Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II
noyah Natural Lipstick in Smoke or Currant News

    Seriously considering resubbing!

  5. If I had a choice, here’s what I would want:
    -Any liquid eyeliner
    -Eye patches
    -Teeez Romantic red lipstick
-ModelCo brow pencil in medium/dark (if it’s darker than the one pictured)
-Then maybe the Kokie nail polish, eye shadow brush, or just about anything other than skincare (too sensitive), eyebrow powder (already have), or makeup palettes intended for fair skin (I’m medium).

  6. My preferred bag would be:
    Tresique lip in Bordeaux
    Pur mud masque
    Adess chrome nail
    Lip scrub
    Be fine exfoliant cleanser

  7. I want it all. I want to try the NYX liner in gunmetal! I need the lip scrub! I’ve had the Kat Von D. Don’t want it.

  8. Dream box

    -Dermelect rapid repair facial moisturizer
-Zjaja natural olive cream light formula(the olive beauty elixir from bb5 felt like water. Smelled like water. I did a side by side comparison in paper and skin. Same! They said it made in batches so they are not all the same. I serious thing it’s just water)
-Befine food skin care exfoliating cleanser
    -Promise coconut face lotion
    -Estee lauder night repair

  9. The nail polish! And I do my own gels. Go figure.

  10. I am glad I have 6 accounts. Every product in October looks amazing!!! There’s only one product there that I wouldn’t be able to use and that’s the coconut milk because of my nut allergy, but if I get it I am sure any member of my family would be happy to use it.

I am just now getting into nailpolish and that one looks interesting and fun, plus I have a 4 year old niece who just loves to have her toenails painted in purples and pinks.

I got the Mememe brush the last time they gave it out. It is by far, the best brush, I have ever gotten. I wouldn’t getting another one. It is so incredibly soft.

    • 6 account…. Holy Crap… Amazing…

      • Its worked out wonderful for me. I have have gotten so much stuff of everything, I never have to go to the store to buy anything. I also have birchbox accounts too.

  11. I want that foundation!

  12. Wow, Octobers products look great! Would love to receive most of the products with the exception of most of the skincare as my skin is crazy sensitive. My top 5 would have to be:
    -Adesse Chrome Nail Polish
-The Balm blush in Hot Mama
    -Patchology eye gel patches
    -NYX eyeliner in Gunmetal
-Either the ModelCo brow pencil, SJP rollerball or Trestique lip crayon in Florence Fig

    • I have the same issue. I am just starting to identify which skincare products help keep my skin clear, and I don’t want any skincare unless it’s an exfoliating wash or mask I can use once a week without throwing off my routine. I hope I get mostly makeup! My last Ipsy bag was so disappointing, and I think they gave me mostly things I did NOT have checked on my profile. Fingers crossed for October redemption!

  13. I wonder what I’ll get. Lately the bags have been hit or miss for me. We’ll see.

  14. I really try to never get my hopes up but I really want to try the kat Von D eye tattoo liner. If I don’t get it I’m thinking of just buying it. Of course it was in September box of the sephora play box, the first box after I cancelled play box. Lol That’s my luck??

    • I received this liner from sephora and was very disappointed. It rubbed off in spots and left serious crease marks

      • Wow. Sorry to hear that. It worked great for me. Wonder why. Weird.

      • I get that issue with eye makeup sometimes because my eyelids get oily. Try using an eye makeup primer before applying anything, and make sure it’s completely dry first. With how oily I get, this doesn’t solve everything, but at least decreased how much my eyeliner transfers to the crease of my eyelids. I’ve tried Benefit’s and Urban Decay, and someone recommended Laura Mercier’s to me, but I haven’t tried it yet.

        • Believe it or not, maybelline master prime works the very best for me for eyeshadow primer. Nothing transfers and I’ve always had problems before.

    • Hope you do get the tattoo eye liner! I got it in Sephira and it is Awesome. Worth buying outright. I sure will when I run out. Sooo I’ll keep my fingers crossed for both of us cause I need a backup. ??

      • Sephora. Trying to type too fast lol

  15. I hope I Get the Indi beauty lip scrub and nyx gunmetal liner and the eyeshadow brush and trust fund beauty primer and vintage eyeshadow or lotion.

  16. Great samples, wish I could pick my five lol.
    These are the samples I hope to get next month;
Lovely Sarah Jessica Parker Fragrance Rollerball
    Pure Brazilian Leave In Miracle
    Patchology FlashPatch Eye Gels
MAKE UP FOR EVER Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation
Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II

  17. I think my wish list is
-Adesse New York Liquid Chrome Organic Infused Nail Lacquer in Grand Central
-Kat Von D Beauty Tattoo Liner in Trooper
-Elizabeth Grant Skin Care Green Power C Hydrating Cleanser
-PUR Cosmetics Dirty Girl Detoxifying Mudd Masque with Pascalite Clay
-Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II
This is my second time around trying Ipsy out, the few months I tried awhile ago were a huge disappointment. I constantly received items I have no desire for and my last bag before I canceled was 5/5 items I hadn’t marked as wants. I get they cant accommodate everything but 5/5 is unacceptable. I MUCH prefer skin care and liked a few of the spoilers so thought Id give them one more shot. I have marked that I barely wear makeup, and if I get 3-4/5 makeup items it will be my last month for good.

    • Did you review your bag each month? I hadn’t at first, and I didn’t realize that it flat out you like this brand for future bags? Do you like this formula? Do you like this color…I 0nly figured that out in August….my sept bag was MUCH better!

  18. Ipsy is offering nice samples this month! I’m excited for next months glam bag. This is my sample wish list!! 🙂 This month I got three samples from my wish list so fingers crossed for next month!

-ModelCo Instant Brows Brow Pencil in Medium/Dark
    – theBalm Cosmetics CabanaBoy Blush
    – tre’StiQue Matte Lip Crayon in Belize Bordeaux or Florence Fig
    – Adesse New York Liquid Chrome Organic Infused Nail Lacquer in Grand Central
    – Its a 10 Haircare Miracle Leave-in Product

Can’t wait!! Good luck ladies 😉

  19. My top five would be:

*Kat Von D Beauty Tattoo Liner in Trooper
*PUR Cosmetics Dirty Girl Detoxifying Mudd Masque with Pascalite Clay
*Cosmoholic Liquid Lipstick in Mysterious Mocha -or- tre’StiQue Matte Lip Crayon In Florence Fig
*Elizabeth Grant Skin Care Green Power C Hydrating Cleanser

I just really hope I don’t get a crazy colored lipstick like the “Current News” one from Noya. I’m not brave enough to even attempt to try a color like that. I think its for someone younger, hopefully ipsy does too.

  20. Hmmm… Wonder how Liz got these spoilers… Usually she says “Thanks to [insert name] for the heads-up!” I guess some anonymity was called for here… Some ipsy employee blabbed… LOL

    • I pulled this info from the ipsy site 🙂

      • So must say out of all the recent months thsee samples am most happy with…tho the samples ide use or want I won’t get any of them am sure…never do 🙁 but if I got lucky to get any of them I want ide pick…
        Trust Fund Primer
Kat Von D Liner or Ciate
        Adesse Polish
        Promise organic Face lotion
Pure Brazilian or its a 10
**There are alot of doubles from other months this year tho

    • Ipsy sent me an email with the spoilers so I had them before Liz posted them.

  21. The more eyeshadow brushes you have, the longer you can go between cleanings. LOL

Happy for anything except nail polish and black eyeliners.

  22. I’m less excited. I love skincare products and there isn’t much here that appeals. I like the October bag itself (kitschy holiday), but am not sure if I can risk getting another Kat Von D Tatoo eyeliner. Or any eyeliner. The plus is there isn’t any mascara!

  23. I got the Kat Von D liner this week in my Sephora box and it is awesome. I don’t see anything to die for here but maybe the Make Up Forever HD foundation. I use IT CC cream but would love an alternative to try. I despise getting nail polish! LOL!

  24. I see a lot of repeats but for $10, I’ll stick with it awhile longer. I have been getting great boxes for a higher price point that are really satisfying. I got a full size $350 Prestige serum this week in my glossy box. It also had almost all full size products as well. I’d rather pay a little more now and get pleasing, higher end product.

  25. Omg! Like everyone else, crossing my fingers for the Adesse!

    • If I get that, you may have it for free. I don’t do nail color.

    • right !? I know I won’t get it though since my last two bags had a nail polish. So sad.

    • Yes! It needs to be in my life right now!

  26. I am obsessed with that chrome nail polish. Love it! (So I’m sure it won’t be in my bag lol)

  27. Please don’t let me get eyeliner. I just got the Kat von D in play and out of 12 subs this month i got black or brown eyeliner. I don’t have eyelinwr checked on my profile but that’s what they always send me. I don’t want nail polish either. O hope i get the foundation and a couple lip products.

    • I know what you mean. I got a black eyeliner in all three of my subs this month. I love eyeliner though and always want more. I just want some different colors. Even brown would be nice at this point.

  28. I’d love the It’s A 10 (I use it daily) and the Cabana Boy blush. I’d be happy with a lot of those products though – just not anything brow-related! I don’t really want a tool either.

  29. I would be happy with any of those except the nail polishes. I don’t do my nails very often. Lol

  30. I see quite a few things I’d love to receive and surprisingly I think Ipsy does a pretty decent job of matching me up with things I enjoy.

    My IDEAL bag would be:

**Adesse New York Liquid Chrome Organic Infused Nail Lacquer in Grand Central (I love getting polishes in boxes, this is my favorite color of those being offered this month.
**Its a 10 Haircare Miracle Leave-in Product (always wanted to try)
**Lovely Sarah Jessica Parker Fragrance Rollerball (I like trying out perfumes, especially when they’re a decent size so this would be nice for me to get despite not knowing what it smells like)
**Pūr~lisse Daily Lip Nourisher with Mango and Shea Butters (it’s heading into dry lip season here and I’m in need of a basic lip balm)
**One of the brushes – I don’t care which one

While I’d LOVE to try the IT Cosmetics foundation, I wonder what colors they will send out and what the size of the samples will be. I suspect quite small so that wouldn’t be worth it to me.

    • I love everything I’ve tried from It’s a 10! I hope you get to sample it!!

      • Hi Liz,
Off topic, but I just noticed that Nest Fragrances is offering a new subscription box called Next by Nest. Just thought I’d let you know in case you’d like to check it out. 🙂

        • OMG!!! Thank you so much for the head’s up! I’ll post about this now! 🙂 SO EXCITED!!

      • Me too! I’m too cheap to just buy it myself, especially when I know sub box regular!

      • I was thrilled when my NBTT was an It’s a 10 takeover! I fell in love with the potion 10 cream leave-in. Best. Hair. Ever. Despite a drawer full of hair products, I am purchasing the full-size. I found my holy grail leave-in.

    • HI Amber, Are we twins? Because that would be my ideal box, too!

      • I’m going to keep my fingers crossed for both of us!!!

    • My friend got a full size IT product a few months ago.

  31. Hoping for the befine or the green cleanser, any of the eyeliners, Estee lauder serum, beaute basics taupe eyeshadow and trust fund primer. That would be my dream bag. I’d be okay with most of the lipsticks and the pink eyeshadow brush as well.

  32. I’d be happy with anything OTHER THAN EYELINER! I’m sure I’ll end up with them though because I usually end up with the only thing I don’t want lol. Everything else looks great! I’m hoping to get the products with cleaner ingredients.

  33. If i do not get a black eye liner then I will be happy! 🙂

    Dream bag:
    1. Rollerball perfume
    2. TheBalm Cabana boy blush
    3. Adesse chrome nail polish
    4. Trust Fund face primer
    5. Beaute Basics taupe eye shadow

I would also like one of the fall colored lipsticks but not really sure if they would look good on me or not.

  34. I would love the Tatcha cleansing oil, the noyah lipstick and the cosmoholic liquid lipstick! And maybe the Adesse Nail Lacquer for a change of pace.

  35. Hmmm, looks like a pretty decent month for the most part, but I’m still glad I unsubbed b/c knowing my luck lately, I’d get everything I don’t really want and/or already have.

  36. Looks pretty great! I’d love to snag another Pur-lisse lip nourisher. Other things that I’m interested in are: Patchology eye gels, NYX gunmetal eyeliner, It’s a 10 leave in hair treatment, ans INDI lip scrub. I’m not usually a fan of the IPSY polishes (just since most of them are so tiny) but that liquid chrome shade looks pretty snazzy.

  37. So glad I cancelled Seohora Play for this!! It’s a much better fit!!! I’d pretty much be happy with everything but the rollerball. I just can’t do fragrances. It’s actually one of the reasons I cancelled Play. I don’t mind once in awhile, but not every month. Pretty excited to get my Ipsy bag!

    • In Play you always receive 5 items PLUS a bonus fragrance. So basically it doesn’t count as one of your samples;) Ipsy gives you 5 items and fragrance may be one of them.

      • I loved getting fragrance as a 6th item in my first Play box and I really liked it. Sadly my 4 year old got ahold of it and wasted half of it so Im definitely looking forward to get more perfume samples in the future.

  38. Spoilers already! How exciting. Im feeling everything except the nail polishes (don’t like the shades) and the KVD liner (just got that in my Play Box.)

If I could pick, I want the gunmetal eyeliner, the pink eyeshadow brush, the foundation, the Trustfund primer and either the ModelCo brow pencil or the Noyah lipstick in Currant. Any of the skincare would be awesome too. Really, I wish I could just have all of it. Lol. Looks to be another great month of Ipsy to look forward to.

  39. Meh, there are a few things I wouldn’t mind getting, but not enough of them to gamble on. I think I’ll put a hold on my account for this month. Glad they did the reveal so early!

  40. I’m glad I’m no longer subbed to Ipsy. Birchbox has been much better lately and Allure is pretty good too. Sephora play is my fav so far though!

  41. I hope I receive the Adesse Chrome nail polish, the makeup forever foundation and the follerball perfume! I did not want a single thing in last month’s glam bag, so I’m crossing my fingers that this month, luck will be on my side 🙂

    • Me too!! It’s like bad month, good month, bad month, great month, bad month…. I like their make-up bags though, and I think people forget to count that as part of the ten dollars. But I don’t get how one month they’ll give me darn near 3-4 FULL size products and then another month I get all samples that are smaller than my pinkie finger!?! I really do think they should have equal value on ALL bags. I have two different subs from ipsy and I realized that if I put a younger age on my profile, the more nail and full size products I tend to get.

  42. Ideal bag for me would be:
    Adesse polish
    Patchology Eye Gels
    Tatcha Cleansing Oil
    Lovely Fragrance Rollerball
    Trust Fund Beauty Face Primer

I really hope to not get that super tiny blush sample from The Balm. I’m actually currently using a sample I received in a Birchbox, and while the blush itself is fine, trying to get the product on my blush brush takes some work! I have to bunch up the bristles and rub them into the sample many times over to get any product to stick.

    • I have Cabana Boy and a bronzer from BB and I use them as eye shadows!! I don’t have the patience to try with a blush brush, they’re too small!

      • Ha, ha 😀 It definitely does take some patience. I’ve actually been told that I have the patience of a saint or that I’m the most patient person they know by many people. 🙂

      • I love those little blush containers. I blush sparingly, and I am able to pick up just the tiniest bit running my brush over it. It would take me a year to go through a full-size blush. The Balm samples are perfect for me, not to mention adorable and great for travel.

    • I was tired of getting really small samples like that too, though the packaging is adorable it takes work getting the product on the brush. So I went on Amazon and bought these tiny little empty make-up pots that came in a box of twenty for like five dollars maybe? But I end up breaking down the powder and putting them in the pots. Elf sells this really cool three in one glossy top coat and sometimes I’ll mix that with the loose powders to create a lip gloss, or eye liner if I’m not liking the powder shade. Elf also sells this loose HD powder in white and I’ll use that to mix with the samples to lighten up some of the shades too.

      • Breaking up the powder is a great idea! I didn’t even think of that. That’s perfect for me since I tend to use mineral blushes & bronzers anyways. Thanks!

  43. Sigh..Wouldn’t it be great if we could choose among the choices? A girl can dream ?

    • Yes. I would resub immediately if we could do that.

      • Yes, even if we could just choose ONE product per month! Ipsy consistently offers a few items every month I’d love to have (unlike Birchbox…) but they never find their way into my glambag.

    • I’ve thought that as well. Even if they just let us pick the ones we like from the spoilers and try to get us some of those. Maybe there would be a few that everyone wants and we wouldn’t all get those but I would never cancel if I got 3-4 products I really wanted to try each month. Right now it’s 1-3 products I will try.

  44. I see a lot of gems in here I’m wanting to try! What I love about these subscription boxes/bags is getting things I would never think about buying and finding new loves in the process!

  45. I really really really want the Makeup Forever foundation! I’ve been wanting to try this for so long! I also love the Kat Von D eyeliner which I just received in my Sephora sub box. Also the lip scrub would be nice. Is it just me or has Ipsy been putting out more skincare products instead of makeup items?

    • I noticed that also, which was partly why I unsubbed (put on hold, whatever), because that’s the one area where I don’t need or want anything, already knowing/using what works for me (Clinique, which they don’t carry that I’ve seen yet). I don’t want to risk ruining the skin I worked so hard to get and maintain by throwing random/various items at it each month. The older I get, the less change my skin likes or can take. Makeup, no problem. Skincare, whole different story!

      • Yeah if your using the same skincare line DO NOT CHANGE IT!!! It actually makes your skin worse and causes more breakouts when you keep changing skincare products.

        • *nods* yep 🙂 that’s exactly what I was thinking/afraid of. That’s one boat I’m not going to rock whatsoever, learned the hard way! I’m in my 40’s and still get carded from time to time (which irks my hubby, since I’m older than him & he doesn’t, lol!), so I’m guessing my stick-to-it-ness has definitely paid off. That, and a good sunscreen, every day, no matter your age. If you start young, your skin will thank you later!

          • Oh I know! I have stayed out of the sun for long periods of time and I always use sunscreen! My skin may be light and not as tan as others in the summer but I’m 35 now and I have no wrinkles and my complexion is great. I only use cetaphil and an all natural moisturizer. I still get carded too and I love it LOL cause others younger than me won’t. All that tanning will make your skin look like pleather sooner or later.

      • This. Exactly this. Out of all of the categories, skincare is the one that can cause the most damage for me. I don’t have it checked, but I do still tend to get stuff anyways. On a month like this where so much of it is skincare, I’m not going to bother taking the gamble.

    • No it’s not just you. I’m so sick of skin creams!!!! I’m lucky to get 1 or 2 actual make-up products that are in reasonable colors

  46. I am hoping for the eye gels, kat von d liner, and TF beauty primer!

  47. Wish I could pick. I REALLY want the Lovely roller ball and the Teeez lipstick!! I would be thrilled to finish up with either the Kokie or the Addesse NY nail polish, either the purr-lisse or preventive measures lip treatment and the eye shadow brush or the olive cream or the promise organics face. Probably means I won’t get any of that. Would be awesome to get what I am really hoping for! Also no the balm product!!

    • Oooh or, instead of polish the makeup forever foundation!!

      • As I said, I got none of it!!

  48. It’s a 10 is amazing !

    • New Beauty’s Test Tube for September was an It’s a 10 takeover! It had a ton of products in it including three (I think) full-sized products. It was my favorite tube since I started subscribing earlier this year. 🙂

  49. Such pretty nail polishes and an estee lauder product…. fingers crossed!

  50. I am so glad I dumped glossybox and birchbox resubbed to this!! the only thing I wouldn’t want is the scrub with almonds, but that’s more allergy related than anything else

    • Yes, I wish there was a way to block allergens from our lists! I emailed about it once since I have an anaphylactic reaction to papaya, and they said sorry but u can give it away. Thanks, capt obvious, smh.

      • That’s really crappy of them! If you’re completely allergic to something they should definitely be more accommodating!

        • I agree, but I also suspect it would be too hard to maintain for everyone who has different issues with this and manage to keep the price so low.

        • As a celiac (gluten allergy)..I have learned I am responsible for making sure items I use/consume do not have gluten. I do not put that responsibility to accommodate me on others for two reasons…First…most the time they are not as aware as I am of the allergen so why trust a person without the necessary knowledge with my health…Second, it is my issue, not theirs and I am only one of their many customers and if they cannot properly accommodate me then I need to move on.

Providing an inclusive ingredients list, so I can make an informed decision, I think is the end of their responsibility.

          • I understand that an allergy is not their problem but you have to remember, we’re paying to try new things and to say that they shouldn’t have to adjust their profiling is like saying all that matters is that they get their ten dollars each month! They don’t provide all the ingredients in their products either!
So I should tell all the food companies to go ahead and include gluten because it’s NOT their problem?

      • They told me the same thing cause I have such sensitive skin and I can’t have sacylic acid. I asked them whats the point of the beauty profiles then? Annnd I’m still waiting for an answer LOL
