Got Behold the Dreamers after reading about it in the NY Times book review and the Secret History as my bonus book. The Secret History looks really good and I haven’t read it yet. I have Ms. Tartt’s the Goldfinch already so I’m looking forward to adding her debut in my collection.

Definitely my favorite sub and look forward to it every month! I love getting new books every month!

Guys. I just finished my last selection from last month, “All the Ugly and Wonderful Things.” Boy howdy. It’s taboo. It’s ugly. It’s wonderful. It’s my #1 book of 2016.

I. Love. This. Durn. Sub.

I wish I could add more than 2 extra books. Seriously. THERE ARE 4 WEEKS IN A MONTH LET ME ADD 4 BOOKS TOTAL. AND MAYBE ONE TO GROW ON.

This has become my go to gift as well. I wish there was a gift package that you could get an extra deal on! At $45/pop, I’m having to pick and choose which friends to give it to. But all of them have become subscribers.

I got so excited to see The Couple Next Door that I did early ship only to remember I wanted to add Amy’s book. Note to self (and others): You can’t do that, it won’t come until next month now 🙁

PS- I am LOVING this sub box!

I picked All at Sea and The Couple Next Door both of those books sounded wonderful, I already know that I’m going to cry reading All at Sea.

I chose A Gentleman in Moscow, The Couple Next Door and Behold the Dreamers for early shipping. The wait is too long, I want my books now! ?

Awesome! I skipped last month’s box, so I’m pleased to see so many interesting books this time around. I picked All at Sea, and added on A Gentleman in Moscow and The Couple Next Door.

I added All at Sea and A Gentleman in Moscow as well. I found that if I limit myself to two books a month I will actually read them. Three and then they sit there in a pile.

That’s my worry as well, to be honest! At least I’ll read one of them (I hope).

Betty

Want 3 books this month. Behold the Dreamers sound likes really good book.

I can’t believe it’s been 30 years since “The Secret History” came out. As usual, my only complaint about BOTM is that I can’t buy more than three books every month ??.

Sorry 20 years ?

After skipping both July and August, I’m happy to see quite a few books that interest me! I’m definitely getting A Gentleman in Moscow; I loved Rules of Civility and I’ve really been looking forward to this book coming out. The Secret History is one of my all time favorites, and even though I already own it, I have to get this for the exclusive BoTM hardcover edition. I’ve never gotten three books in one month before, but I love Amy Schumer, so I think I’ll probably end up adding her book, too. What a great month!

Thanks for the recommendation. I don’t subscribe to BOTM (yet), but I like to scope out all the book subs to fill my tbr list.

I already read Amy Schumer’s book. It had a lot more substance than most memoirs. She is using her voice to talk about real issues within her own experience and it didn’t come off preachy, IMHO.
