Eh, I’m not looking forward to another mascara, I don’t want a perfume because I feel like that’s cheating, I’ve gotten both Marcelle and Oribe products in the last few months. I’m excited to try Glam Glow because I can’t justify spending $70 on something without being able to try it first. *sigh* here’s hoping it’s not shit.

Another perfume sample? I received the same sample in my September box already…in the history of my Birchbox subscriptions (since 2013), I have not received a single perfume sample I liked. September was my sixth sample this year and, dear subscription god, please let me not get another one!

Also, my September box did not have the tissue paper…did anyone else have that happen? Is Birchbox now cutting cost by cutting out the tissue paper?

I read that they’re testing a new way of packaging the products…. using foam on the bottom of the boxes instead of tissue paper. I find that my products move around a lot more in shipping with just the padded foam. For awhile I was getting both, which was nice, and last month was the first time there was no tissue paper, which I think led to the dreaded smashed bronzer/shadow a lot of people received last month.

This may be off topic but does anyone else live in one of the flooded areas of Louisiana? Being that I was in a flooded area and also a Birchbox subscriber I received an email about 10 days ago letting me know that birchbox was sendomng some goodies my way. Did anyone else get an email like that? If so did you receive your care package?

Thanks, Kim

I received the September curated box in addition to the usual subscription box! There was no message or anything in the box that mentioned LA or the floods (assuming it’s the care package), but it was a nice surprise to find in my mailbox 🙂 Thanks Birchbox!

Ummm that is so caring of them. Thanks for sharing that. I have family in Louisiana but no subscribers to give you any info. That makes me think way better of the company.

I canceled last month after 2 damaged boxes 2 months in a row. Which were replaced. My daughter got her box today. It was a great box. All the products were products she would use. I will resub again but not yet. I have way to much mascara and more coming in my Ipsy bag this month. When do they stop sending mascara so I can use it up. I have 15 mascaras. But I still want the Milk mascara.

I got a curated September box(not the sample I picked) and the curated is just awful. I emailed them about it, I was on the fence about cancelling and if I get no response this will be my last box. The curated box was bad, small samples, repeats, more mascara….just baaad.

I havent received anything about my Sept box as well. My payment was taken but no further emails, usually by now I would have gotten something saying it’s been shipped. I see everyone complaining about mascara, what I am getting sick of and this is with all my other boxes as well is lipstick. I will never in my life be able to use all the lipsticks I’ve been sent and in the sneak peeks I am expecting even more, ughhhbhbb!

I would try checking the site or the app. My samples are up and have been for about a week now.

Has anyone gotten their September box yet? I have no shipping info or my September box peak.
Please let me know.
Thanks

I got my September box today

I haven’t gotten my box or shipping notification either.

Came on here to ask the same thing, no shipping info, and no sneak peak, just a note that says they’re still prepping my box, they had no trouble taking my money on time though! I’m already super close to canceling because of all the changes they’ve been making and the boxes haven’t been that great lately, so this may be my deciding factor, they’re just too disorganized at the moment!

I feel the same way Birchbox .
i hsve subing to them for a few yrs. Last month i sighed up with Ipsy $10 & Beauty box 5 $12. Im testing them. LOL I’m definitely are not going to keep all subscriptions.
Do u get Sephora play box? That one is my favorite.

Whatsupmeg

I haven’t got anything yet either! I signed up for the curated box and still have no shipping info yet.

Got my box today.

Luna

I haven’t received my boxes yet, but I got a shipping notification for my curated box last week, and the sample pick box earlier this week. I should be getting the curated box either tomorrow or early next week.

I’ve never tried GlamGlo! I’m super excited!

Maria

Birchbox has to much “skin care” for my liking. I had to cash out my points in Sept. so I am probably done. I have unloaded about 3 beauty subs and this is next.

If this were the curated box, I’d get it for the Oribe and the Glamglow even though the perfume and the mascara would annoy me.

Reply ButtonReply

Heather F

Which Oribe spray is that, anyone know?

Jay

Based on the can design/layout it looks like the Grandiose Hair Plumping Mousse.

Carolann

Squee! GIVE ME ALL YOUR GLAMGLOW. :p

The combination of brands and product types (2 skincare, 1 makeup, 1 fragrance, and 1 hair product) suggests that the box and samples pictured are more likely to be the “featured” box rather than the individual sample choice options.

Reply ButtonReply

Julie E

The products shown do not make sense for “unwind” except the glam glow. I would like to choose that for a sample choice. This is the box design that showed up this month for me on the app so they must have gotten those switched up. The app is really a terrible thing. The thought is great but it needs work. It never shows me the new boxes and I have looked in the app store to make sure I have the most updated version.

Reply ButtonReply

Jay

The text copy under the photo reads “every subscriber is guaranteed to get _A_revitalizing product to help you unwind and recharge” (emphasis mine, mid-sentence pronoun shift theirs). In light of that it makes sense that the GlamGlow is the only product that fits the description of “unwind”- only one product per box needs to. Since I agree that the other items don’t fit that description (“oh man, this mascara is really helping me to unwind,” said no person ever), I suspect what is pictured is either the curated/featured box or a random example of an October box selection, rather than the individual products offered for sample choice.

Katy

I would probably resub for an opportunity to get the Glam Glow. But only if it’s a guranteed opportunity. Are these products going to be the sample choices?

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

I think this is October’s curated box. Typically when they show a picture like this (5 items with a box) it’s the curated box. Usually we only get 3 sample choices, and it seems like lately they’ve all be the same type of product (i.e. mascara, hair) or from the same brand (i.e. Milk). I can’t wait to see what our sample choices are!

Reply ButtonReply

Dana

I think each box gets one of those five items. I don’t think it’s the curated box.

Dawn

I would be happy with any of that. Well, maybe not another mascara 🙂

Khaleesi

Yessss, thinking the same thing! Everything was like “Yes, yes, yes, yes-wait, another mascara???”
