Birchbox has really gotten tired lately, especially the LE boxes. Same brands, same basic ideas, virtually interchangeable contents, no sense of any real curation. The last LE box I loved was Vanity Affair in 2014. Stupendous value, terrific variety, and fabulous NEW and hot brands. . . I bought FOUR, one for me, one for my mom, two to divide up, and had the ladies on my Christmas shopping list all set.

That box was amazing. I’m still using my Tata Harper cream lip color/blush, what a value that has! It had fabulous, rarely-seen-in-boxes luxe brands By Terry and Chantecaille, too. And that wonderfully handy TRAVEL folding accessory tray. I have plenty of trays otherwise, *thanks*!

What can they do to shake things up and make truly desireable Limited Edition boxes again?

I wish I was in charge of curating a box. I’d be so freakin’ good. I’d be REALLY good at Popsugar. Possibly my dream job.

One of my favorite boxes from BB was the Snow Days box from a couple of years ago – it was really well curated and perfect, plus it was different. I wish they would do something like that again. I have too much of the stuff from this box. I was just thinking about that wonderful Snow Days box.

I do want to try the R+Co spray, but I’m going to pass on this.

I really want to try the Erno Lazlo mask, but I’ll also pass on this. I’m pretty sure I already have everything in the box with the exception of the mask, candle, and tray. And, those items I do have I’m not excited enough over to be willing to receive duplicates.

Ditto. I was looking forward to the reveal for this one, but the mask is the only temptation for me. Not enough to make me purchase.

Wow. Another disappointing box. (Almost)Everything has been sent to me as a before as a sample, and I didn’t love any of it, except for the R and Co., that Mott mascara would not dry on humid days. I walked around with raccoon eyes until some kind lady handed me a mirror. The Oui spray is great on fine to normal hair–but if you have tons of volume-it can’t compete with or hold up to my own hair texture.
I hope that tray is available on its own for sale, as it is the only appealing thing to me.
Can anyone recommend another box to replace birchbox, after 4 years, I am ready to pull the plug. I just signed up for Art of Oragnics and enjoy it and I have Sephora play. But, I miss surprise samples.

Sephora and Allure have been my favorites but I just signed up for WIN which is a new Korean bag that’s $14/month so looking forward to getting that one this month.

Beauty Box 5 is another good alternative.

I just signed up for Ipsy a couple months ago, and so far, it’s been good.

I used to get BB as well and was disappointed so now I get allure and Sephora play and I’m happy with both!

I love Sephora play box and the Allure box. Waiting out my BB annual sub and then am also saying goodbye 🙁

I use to love BB LE boxes, but they have been so disappointing for the last year. BB is not what it use to be.

I’m buying it now bc I know I’ll have to have it after Liz reviews it 🙂

and since there’s the 15% off coupon I might as well

I just can’t decide what GWP I want to get though

Mary

You can’t use the coupon code and also use a code for a GWP. You can only use one or the other. You can add the mystery pack to your cart, though. 🙂

oh ya… I haven’t used a coupon code in so long I completely forgot!

I want that tray so much, but I already have the Beauty Crop Highlighter, Creamy Lip Stain, and the OUAI Wave Spray, and I didn’t love any of them enough to want duplicates! Ahhh!

This box seems like leftovers from boxes and gift with purchase.

I have a bunch of Birchbox points I need to spend, but I am just not excited for this box. I have loved some of their Limited Edition boxes so much, but all the ones that are available right now are just so makeup-heavy. I think I’m going to hold out, but my points are starting to expire.
