An info card was included in the box and detailed all the included items.
Cheers Beer Mug - Value $15.00?
This is a very heavy glass mug from the Emmy winning show Cheers. I think a mug is a great inclusion in the box and I like the classic design of this beer stein. Retro Pop Box doesn’t provide retail values on their info card so I am estimating the value.
Care Bear Scented Charm - Value $1.00?
This cute fuzzy Care Bear charm is scented like pineapple. The bears come in different scents depending on which color bear is in your surprise egg. My daughter will enjoy hanging this from her daycare bag.
Ring Pop - Value $0.50
Though Ring Pops are still widely available I do remember them being popular when I was a kid in the 80s and enjoying them at summer camp. My son had his first Ring Pop this summer at his camp and loves them.
Slap Bracelet - Value $0.50?
Slap bracelets! These used to be all the rage and were so much fun. I love the pink and black zebra print that I received. My kids had never seen these before and had fun slapping it back and forth on each other’s wrists.
Air Supply Greatest Hits Cassette Tape - Value $3.00?
While it was fun to see a classic Air Supply cassette tape in my box, I don’t own a a cassette player anymore so I really have no use for this. Other Retro Pop Box subscribers will receive different tapes. I see these selling on Ebay from around $3-$6.
Vote Astley T-Shirt - Value $15.00?
This short sleeve shirt is a Retro Pop Box exclusive. I think this shirt is so funny and it’s especially fitting to send right before the US Presidential election.
Verdict: It was fun to reminisce as usual when unboxing my Retro Pop Box. It’s fun to see what items they will pick to represent the 80s and which ones will ring true for me personally. The mug and shirt were my favorite items this month. While my kids loved the Care bears charm, slap bracelet and Ring Pop. The only letdown was the cassette tape and if I had a way to listen to the songs that would have been a hit too!
