Info Card

The information card was pasted into the lid of the box. The products and their corresponding values were listed on the card.

Polish

Sugarloom Nail Polish in Baked (full size!) - $15.00

This is a five free nail polish in a creamy buttery yellow. I think this is a beautiful color for summer!

Telephone Cord Hair Ring - $1.95

This hair tie is stretchy and rubbery feeling. It does look just like the old-fashioned telephone cords! I will pass this on to my niece who is a tween and I think she’ll love it.

Lip Gloss

Medusa Lip Gloss in Loverboy (full size!) - $9.00

This lip gloss goes on really nicely. I thought it would be much brighter, but I think it’s a nice wearable pink. It’s not sticky at all and has good coverage. The gloss is also vegan and paraben free.

Soak

E & E Natural Bath Co Watermelon Bath Soak - $4.00

I like this oatmeal watermelon bath soak. I always find oatmeal baths very soothing when my skin is irritated from dryness or too much sun exposure. I didn’t get an overwhelming watermelon scent; this was a light fruit scent.

Pouch

Brushes

Ecotools Essential Eye Set - $8.00

This is such an adorable beginner eye brush set for a young lady! I love the pretty pouch to hold them all. Each brush is approximately 4.5 inches long, so they are nice and small for travel and to keep in your bag.

Swatch

This is a swatch of the lip gloss. I like the bright color!

Verdict:  I’m so happy with my The Better Beauty Box again this month. I love how this box aims to introduce tweens and teens to natural beauty alternatives and isn’t too heavily based on make-up. The value this month came to more than $38 which I’m very happy with. My favorites this month were the lip gloss and bath soak.

Do they still do this box? If so, I’d like to see a more recent review before I order it.
Thank you!

Better Beauty Box is currently offering 20% off with the code Back2School. I signed up for $16 for the first month! PayPal is the only way to pay, however.

Jessica, great review! Did the Moody Sister’s deodorant from last month work? I’m trying to find a natural deodorant that works for me, either they give me a rash or I smell bad within a few hours.

Does anyone get the makeup free option? I would love to know what’s in that box.

I also would like to know about the Moody Sisters deodorant and if it works and worth purchasing.

Hi Kay and Sarah,
I didn’t get a rash from the Moody Sister’s Deodorant and I didn’t find that I was smelly either! I think as far as natural deodorants go this was successful. The only thing I will warn you about is your clothing. I have yet to find any natural deodorant that doesn’t leave oil marks on my clothing.
And thank you Kay, I’m glad you enjoyed the review!
Best, Jessica

Wow, I didn’t know that Medusas Makeup has a box. I have all of their eye dust, the original 12 of their eye shadow and some of their glitters. I recommend using their eye fix for long wear on their shadows and eye dust. Also their eye liner primer for using their pigments as wyeliner. If comes off easily. The colors are highly pigmented and the dust lasts a long time. If they don’t come with the sifter make sure you get them. The colors and glitters are as bright as those of MAC which is another favorite of mine. The sizes are smaller but they last a long time and they eye dusts are very versatile as is the glitter. The only liner I have had is the black and it works well. I’m not impressed with their lip gloss as they are rather sheer and not the highly pigmented color that they look. I have one light blush that works well. Overall it is a great product and I am excited to see that they have a sub box. It’s a great way to try their products. I would give it a try at least once. I have found their customer service to be excellent in the past.
