The “lady” and “girl” thing bothers me way more than it should. Why not “Woman” and “Young Lady” or maybe “lady” and “petite” or anything besides “girl”. To me, it’s like they’re saying if you don’t buy the big box you’re a child. Using the word girl just makes me think they are being condescending. Are they trying for a tween audience with the girl box? I know I’m reading too much into it but it just seems like they are putting me down if I get the girl box. lol
I know, too much thought into a silly subject, but I just can’t figure out what they are going for here because it seems insulting to anyone that is over the age of 12 that wants the less expensive box. Not great marketing if they actually want to sell the girl box.

Why even specify lady boss? Why not just boss? And “girl boss”, really? Just say subordinate, since that’s what you’re implying. This absolutely should not bother me at all, but it does. Words matter.

I feel better now getting that off my chest. Now I can put this behind me and get on with my life. lol

I am proud to be a girl boss (and not just in the context of this box). For me, it means I look young, but I still have authority to get things done. I don’t see anything demeaning about that. I am secure enough in my abilities that labeling me this way makes me smile. Go ahead and underestimate me in the board room because I dress chic and have cute accessories and like the color pink; damned be the person who comes up against me in a negotiation 😉

I know this is just me being petty but I’m sure Garance Doré would love her name being misspelled.

This spoiler actually temps me. The folio is $48 and is something I would actually use for work. The tea mug is $24.95. With two things I really like, the rest wouldn’t be awful would it? lol

I am not sure about this yet. I guess it is good that the two boxes are actually different this quarter. The one thing I still don’t understand is how they can charge you for the box months before shipping. I was charged for this box in July. Is this right?

This is partly why I cancelled my The Best Damn Book Box. I bought my first box on December 1 and I think I received it in February.
