TRNDLabs Earbuds - Value $19
These are the COAL Organic Earbuds from TRNDLabs. Typically, I shy away from being excited for headphones or earbuds in a subscription box, because the quality tends to be on the lower end.
Not only did these fit snuggly without falling out or becoming loose, but they also delivered good sounds for a $19 earbud. It had good high and low end while still coming in at an very affordable price point - so I was excited to have a new pair to use on the go.
Anthony Glycolic Facial Cleanser - 1 oz - Value $3.50 (based on 8oz price)
I love the smell of this cleanser. I'd describe it as fresh and citrusy. I don't use much cleanser, I typically stick to Yes To face wipes in the morning to wake me, so this was a bit of an experiment for me. This might find its way into the rotation as well - it left my face with a nice fresh and cool feeling. I really enjoyed it, and didn't expect to!
Matcha Antioxidant Mask - 20 ml - Value $8 (based on 60 ml price)
I mixed this powder with a little bit of water in the palm of my hand and applied it. Liz liked the smell of the mask while I was a bit indifferent to it - it's not a bad smell, but it may just be that she's used to these masks and I'm not! When applied, it dried and tightened within seconds, only taking about a minute or two to completely dry. Upon removal, my skin definitely feels much more smooth! I'm not much of a facial mask guy, but I liked the result!
Baxter of California Body Wash - Value $1.80 (based on 10 oz price)
This might be the best smelling body wash ever. The body wash is Italian lime and pomegranate and it smells like Italian lime and pomegranate! It's fresh and refreshing - thumbs up. I've been using this exclusively since sampling it, and as I'm about to finished it, I think I'll have to repurchase it!
BOKA Natural Toothpaste - 10 ml - Value $0.67 (based on 4 oz price)
I'm not too knowledgeable on all natural toothpaste - so this is really only the second or third I've tried. My other experiences were with toothpaste that had no taste, or bad taste. This one had a slight mint flavor - definitely not one that seems like it will last a full day. It was also felt closer to like I was brushing with water than with toothpaste, it was kind of hard to explain - it had the consistency of a body wash when you applied it to the toothbrush. While it did the job, I don't think I'd prefer this toothpaste.
Verdict: At $20 a month, I thought this was a good value for me. The headphones are really good for their price point, and I've been using this body wash - and plan to repurchase it - even since trying it. On top of that, I enjoyed trying the other three products, and quite liked the facial scrub as well. I'm not a guy who will actively go seek out new products - I will simply use what's right in front of me, as Liz knows, so this box was a bit of an experiment for me. I got to try some new things - and I enjoyed it.
