Hibiscus Notebook - $16.00

I love this floral design it reminds me of fall. The hibiscus flowers are beautifully illustrated on this 5x7, 160 sheets, ruled notebook. It’s the perfect size for your purse, for writing to-do lists to starting your holiday shopping strategies.

Orange Cardamom Tea Cookies - Value $3.00

This was delicious tea cookie was crunchy and buttery. I tasted butter, cinnamon, and lavender. I realized after taking the items out of the box, the tea cookies were next to the bath bomb cubes that are lavender sage, that would explain the taste of lavender I got when I ate the tea cookie.

Lavender Sage Bath Bombs Cubes - $12.00

This all natural set of two bath bomb cubes has an appealing aroma. The lavender sage and essential oils are perfect for a long soak after a grueling work day.

Wall Bud Vase - $21.90

When I opened the box and pulled this out, I had no idea what this was or its purpose; upon further investigation this style is “science chic” and intended for a lovely touch of the “outdoors inside”. Basically, this all-natural wood with a colorful painted stripe and test tube in the middle is a wall vase. I love and admire how Emily has repurposed items to make them fun and useful in our lives.

Verdict: The Aster Market August box has a retail value of $52.90. I found this box to be fun and unique, the wall bud vase being the unique part, which I may gift or swap not sure if it will find a home in my apartment. The items that come in these boxes are useful and often times have more of a gifting theme with the products as opposed to other subscription boxes. Which makes it a treat each month to see what fun, unique, eclectic gifts they choose for their subscribers. (If you are looking for a high-value box, I would not recommend Aster Market).

I have all the materials in my garage to make this, along with a few variations. But $21.90? It would need a few extra touches. Router edges, stain, painted hardware. That would make it unique and thoughtful

…and the wood that they chose looks like the very inexpensive yellow pine…

I just love that bud vase! It’s gorgeous! Enough so that I just emailed Aster to see if I would get the August box if I signed up right now. I will let folks know!

I contacted them and they got right back to me, on the weekend no less! A subscription at this point would start with the September box but they do still have a couple left to order it sounds like as one time boxes.

Jessica

Such a beautiful box! Nice review, Nich!
