This is the information card that was included, which lists the package contents. It also has planting instructions for the package of chervil you will see in a moment. It *also* has instructions for planting the packing material, which I totally didn’t know was seeded with red columbine! Sadly, I think I just put the box in recycling today. It’s too bad because I love red columbine!
Handmade Cicada Cards – Value $6?
I’m guessing on the value of these note cards as they are not for sale in the online shop. This packet included three cards and envelopes. These are cute, and the paper is very high quality. In fact, the info card above feels like a wedding invitation!
Chervil Seeds – Value $1?
I’m a little embarrassed to admit this, but I don’t think I’ve ever had chervil. Is it good? I have room in my garden, and now I’m curious. So, I might have to plant these and see what happens.
Green Salve – Value $10?
I’ve received several of these all-purpose skin boo-boo salves from subscription boxes lately, and I love them! I like this one because it seems almost unscented. My kids get scrapes ands bites all summer long, so this will go to good use. I also love that Red Dirt Co. lists all the ingredients on the bottoms of the tins! That’s some good stuff in there!
Red Dirt Lip Balm – Value $3?
This lip balm is magic. I don’t usually go on and on about lip balm, and you know I get tons of it in my subscriptions, but this one is special. I’m not sure why, but it lasts forever and makes my lips feel super soft!
Jewelweed Liniment – Value $5
Liniment is such an old-timey word that I had to actually look it up to remember what it meant! It’s basically a rub to relieve sore muscles. I haven’t tried it out yet, but I have a feeling that when some campers come back at the end of the week, this will go to good use!
Summer Hibiscus Tea – Value $7
Hibiscus tea might be my favorite tea of all times, and this one has such a bright and vibrant flavor! I love it!
Verdict: I really enjoyed this package from Red Dirt Co.! Everything felt very well-made and like a lot of TLC went into creating everything. We will use absolutely everything in this box! The value of everything totals about $32 if my estimates are near correct, and that’s a little low for a $53 box. With these high-artisan boxes, I don’t expect to get an overwhelming value for the cost, but I do expect the value to outstrip the cost by at least a little bit. I would like to see the value improve in future boxes. Otherwise, I thought this was a fabulous box!
