Oh I’m so excited for the August box! Eye Opener sounds to me maybe we’ll be getting some concealed, eye cream, mascara, shadow, eye primer, lashes (that would be awesome) some liner. Ole Henrikson eye lift would be amazing!

Ugh, the July box was supremely boring considering how hyped up the Sephora sub has been…I have dry skin so don’t need Any blotters, the Ouai was WAY too greasy and sticky and stiff for my fine hair, and a bronzer? Snooze 🙁 I expected way better from a Sephora sub, like the latest/newest products- they had Drunk Elephant and Farmacy samples with purchases, so don’t tell me they can’t include newer exciting brands like those in a sub. And the waterproof version of Too Faced Better Than Sex came out in June, and they haven’t included it in a summer-themed box yet?? If the August box isn’t MUCH better, I’m out. Disappointing.

I usually love Benefit products, but I got the Dew the Hoola in my July box, and it’s kind of awful. I’m really into bronzers and doing a tan, highlighty look right now so I was excited to get it, but it seriously looks like mustard. Yuck! Wondering if it anybody else that got it thought it was usable.

i use it almost every day.. I’m not super into bronzers but I use my fingers to dab it on then blend it with a beauty blender. I do set it with hoola powder bronzer sample i got from another subscription. I think that blending with a beauty blender and lightly dusting on the hoola powder bronzer gives it a beautiful finish. maybe even using a bronzer that is close in color to set it might help! hope this helps you:)

I was also extremely disappointed with the box, but was very excited to get in on it. I hope next month isn’t disappointing. Dew the hoola also a bummer. No new products in the box. Smashbox primer not new or exciting either..

Cindy
I already have the Dew the Hoopla. Bought it when it first came out, I use it every day, mostly on my cheeks and the bridge of my nose. I apply with a brush. I only need a tiny but, about half a pump, on each cheek You can use a blender to blend out the harsh line. A cashier at Ulta suggests it can be added to foundation to make it a tad darker for the summer months. I haven’t tried it myself.

I received my Jul box today and it was another “womp, womp, womp” month for me. Only one item could really be considered new to the market (Blotterazzi). The rest were products that have been around for some time and/or are dupes of things other subs sent months ago (ouai wave spray mini, Too Faced sample bronzer). The cleanser isn’t terribly exciting and is also a very small size. Compared to other $15 beauty subs, this one just isn’t stacking up well. No full size items (unless you count the BeautyBlender blotter) and very small samples in general. One more month and I’m out.

What about a good eye makeup remover. Im thinking eye openers like products that surprise you by how amazing they work.

Shoot, I was planning to cancel this subscription as I rarely use any of the products, but seeing the August spoiler is making me reconsider. I’m really hoping for a good eye cream or serum and maybe a concealer. I wouldn’t even mind another mascara sample. I think they work better than the full sizes, anyway.

I agree. Mascara samples are always better than their full sized counterparts! I live on mascara samples, lol!

Considering on cancelling. i have more than enough mascara’s, unless the mascara is too faced better than sex which is literally the greatest thing in the world. although i can never have enough eyeshadows and lashes. i want to say the new benefit brow line would have something in the box but I’m not sure. does Sephora ever have repeats? sort of new subscriber.

I’m hoping for some false lashes, eye cream or under eye corrector and maybe a shadow or liner in a color other than black since the last few boxes have been slightly low on actual makeup items.

I had luck signing up on the 15th of last month. This month is my first box. Still waiting for this months.

I got my July box today and I love it! Even the perfume. I haven’t tried everything out yet but I absolutely love the Too Faced bronzer. It smells so yummy and looks natural. I’ll be trying out the primer in the morning.

Has anyone received the July box when it said sold out on their account on the website?
Reply
CM
Did you not get a shipping confirmation? I would check your account to see if your box shipped and email customer service if it says it hasn’t shipped yet.

Eileen
Yeah I never got the email shipping confirmation and when I emailed them last week they told me I had to wait until the 20th to see if I am getting it. Really annoyed with this sub box. They clearly don’t know what they are doing. Letting in more people than they can handle.

I made a reminder for myself to cancel this box after seeing reviews for this month. However, just got my July box and it is sooooo good. I guess I’m bad at judging spoilers and don’t really know which products I need until I actually get them :p

I’ve done the same thing, lol. Although I knew I’d like this box especially for the cost, I’ve seen spoilers for other boxes and thought “ugg” but when I actually got it and tried what was in it I was so glad I received what I did.

Anyone know how long the wait list is? I have been on it and haven’t heard anything. Or even a secret on how to get off it??
Reply
Colleen
I was on the waitlist for months, too. I just happened to be able to sign up directly on the website last month. I would suggest that you keep checking back towards the end of the month. … when ppl cancel before their cards get charged on the first or second of the following month.

Thanks for the ideas!

I was on the wait list and hadn’t heard anything.
I happened to purchase an item on the Sephora website.
One day I clicked to purchase Play by Sephora and it allowed me to purchase the subscription.

You know what I’ve never seen, Eyelash curler. I would love to see that in the sephora box, but more than likely it’ll be that benefit kabrow, I’ve seen it so much and some serum or highlighte or primers.

Melisa
Not a sephora box, but I received a really nice eyelash curler in my beauty fix box a few months back 🙂

I hate getting spoilers for the next month of something when I haven’t received my current box.

Same! I am liking the box but delivery fulfillment sure is slow.

I hope an eye mask, eye cream, eye brightener/highlighter, under eye concealer/corrector?

Eye-shadow primer would be great, almost out of eye cream so eye creams or serums are welcomed, I think there may be an eye liner or brow product – would be OK with either but prefer the brow products ( I have to draw in my eyebrows whenever I leave home), tweezers are a good possibility; also would love to see a citrus body or face wash cause they really wake me up or a coffee scented lotion/cream or mask, or they can include a headband…the possibilities are a most endless and all very exciting…really looking forward to August’s Sephora Play?

MandyC, are there sometimes tools like tweezers in the bag? I desperately need a good pair or a good eyelash curler.

Jess, Tweezerman makes The Best tweezers ever! I’m very particular when it comes to brow shaping & found Tweezerman, gosh, 15+ years ago? Then you could only get them at beauty supply stores but now they sell them at Walgreens! You’re going to pay a few bucks for them, but they are totally worth it. They are precision & grab even the thinnest or shortest hair. I have a few pair b/c I sometimes misplace one & am lost without them. HTH. ☺

Hi Jess, March had a sephora makeup spongequite similar to the beauty blender

I was just saying I have enough eye cream to last me the rest of my life. And 15 mascaras…

I think I have like 150 mascaras. Well, a full shoebox any way.

Can you give us the scoop?

Sounds like she is referring to the July box (which is the first box to have 2 options).
Mattie
My guesses are Benefit Gimme Brow, Tarte Lash Paint, KatVonD liquid eyeliner and Clinique Pep Start eye cream. Maybe an Urban Decay eyeshadow as well?

jennwade11
YES PLEASE, what a dream box! 🙂

Jenny
This would make me very happy! I don’t need more eyeliners but it’s KatVon D! I didn’t have Play! last time they sent out a KatVonD item and was bummed about it.
Re: brow products, I can’t remember if there was a question on hair color on initial sign-up profile…
Reply
Mattie
I don’t recall if it had a hair color question or not but I know you can click back through the profile options. It will show you what you’ve already chosen and allow you to change it if you want. When I found out they were making variants to the boxes based on skin type I went through and checked mine
Lindsay
apparently sometime before these boxes ship, we will take a new survey for them to match our boxes- so they might ask about hair color, etc this time…would also be cool if they matched eyeshadow on eye color (like green/purple for hazel, etc)-but that may be asking for too much 🙂 I’ll be happy if I am sent the correct eyebrow color, etc
Anna C.
Id guess an eye cream from the short video… I would be happy with that!

Dianne
Maybe eyeliner highlight, eye serum, benefit ka brow or eyeshadow.

Either miscellaneous eye stuff as mentioned already and/or stuff to help you wake up and get going in the morning (e.g., energizing body wash/lotion, grapefruit/citrus facial cleansers, caffeine/coffee scrub, etc.) is my guess.
