Gloss

Gloss Swatch

Creamsicle Translucent  Lip and Cheek Cream (0.68 oz.) - $17.95

The lip and cheek stain is made without parabens, mineral oil and phthalates. The color is a bright pink and is called “acerola” but since it is a balm it looks much softer once applied to the lips. It also contains organic shea butter and I found it very moisturizing. I liked this formula a lot for lips and it’s one of my favorite items from all my Lip Love pouches to date.

Blush

Blush & Glow by So Susan (0.11 oz.) - $22.95

This blush color is called “rose rust” and has a nice shimmer to it. I like the color and formula but I just wish the sizing were more generous.

Shadow

Neapolitan Palette  by Jelly Pong Pong (0.11 oz.) - $17.95

These shades are all really pretty and have a nice amount of shimmer which I like for my eye shadows but they are a little too warm for my cool skin tone. I will pass them along to a friend. I found that they blend well and have a nice amount of pigmentation too.

Blush Shadow Swatches

The blush (at the top of my wrist) and all three eye shadow shades are swatched here.

Foundation

Foundation Swatch

Moisturizing Soft-Focus Peptide Foundation by So Susan (1.1 oz.) - $24.95

This is the first time I’ve received a skin color specific item and I hope it doesn’t become a trend, I think that would be a turn off for subscribers unless they ask for customization preferences. The color foundation they sent was called “warm beige” and the color didn’t work for me. I swatched it at the top off my wrist and it looks very unnatural/orangey because I’m so fair.  I personally don’t wear foundation so this would not have been a win for me even if the color did match. Unfortunately when it arrived the pump was broken so the only way to get the product out is by unscrewing the top and dabbing it on.

Verdict: This Lip Love pouch was ok for me. I like the creamsicle lip and cheek cream and the blush and glow this month. The other two products weren’t as successful for me just based on color. The bag is adorable as always and the value is amazing – over $95 counting the bag which I am very happy with.

Loved this month too !!
My faves were the blush , this shade was perfect with my skin tone and I’m fair . And boy does it stay on !!
I loved the Creamsicle cheek lip it smells good enough to eat this was great for vacay just tossed in my beach bag and go !
The foundation surprisingly worked for me maybe it’s one of those that blends well for most skin tones since it only comes i two shades idk but it was georgeous on I loved that it had spf too . I love multifunctional products .☺️

This was my first month to receive the Lip Love bag. First off, the packaging is horrible for something that is being sent via airmail. The foundation box was smashed but thankfully the bottle itself was fine. However, the blush was completely crushed and pink powder was everywhere. I did contact customer service and they were great. They responded fairly quickly and requested I send them a photo of the blush. Upon seeing that, they immediately said a replacement would be shipped.

Is this related to Lip Monthly? Seems to be very similar.

Oh the color of the foundation, didn’t expect it to be so orange. I probably should have skipped this month.

I just came across this. I am dropping birchbox and tried Glossybox but was unimpressed. Looking for something to take their place. I might be watching this one for a while. Foundation would be great if they customize to the consumer.

If you haven’t tried Boxycharm yet that is a good one too. I hate samples and they offer more full size items in their boxes. Good luck on the beauty box quest.

I wear foundation every day but there is no way a company should send it out without asking about skin tone.

I don’t mind getting small blushes because I have never finished one and I have an entire train case full of them (not to mention multiple blush palettes that don’t fit in the train case).

I had been thinking about this subscription but I may wait for awhile.

I subscribe to this, but I skipped this month and it looks like I made a good choice. I like foundation but I’m not sure if the color would match my skin tone. I already have that eyeshadow palette and very similar blushes, and also the lip product in a different shade that suits me better.

This was my favorite subscription to get for the last 6 months but I started getting repeat items. It seems like a lot of their product is the same thing but in different packaging. For example, I have two of those same eyeshadow trios but with different packages, the same blush in a different package, and I’ve gotten two of the same highlighter pencils with different color packaging (one green and one orange). I wish they made more of a variety of products because I’d love to stay subbed in but I don’t need 2+ of the same thing, especially when it takes forever to finish using an eyeshadow trio, etc. It’s an amazing bag and an amazing sub for a great deal though!
