OFRA Eyeshadow Shades + Magnetic Z Palette – Value $59
I LOVE that Boxycharm included a magnetic palette this month! Considering they've sent solo pans in previous boxes, I think this is a great reward for subscribers to be able to group those pans in one customizable palette!
Here is a closer look at the eyeshadow shades:
The pigment is great on all of these colors, and it's a good mix of shimmer and matte finishes. (All shades swatched in picture later in the review.)
PYT Argan Oil Treatment – Value $30
This oil treatment is a blend of several oils and it is safe for color treated hair. I tried it out and my favorite part of the formula is that I could truly tell a difference in the shine level of my hair after using it!
One thing that surprised me is the scent. It reminds me of a men's cologne/grooming product fragrance. Personally, I'm fine with that and often use a lot of the samples my husband gets in Birchbox Man, but I thought it was worth mentioning nonetheless!
Noyah Lip Gloss in Malbec – Value $16
This lip gloss looks bold in the tube (and pretty bold swatched below, too), but it actually applies sheer to your lips, so you can really control how much color you want. (Perfect for me - I prefer a more neutral lip.)
And I love that the ingredients list is free of sulfates, parabens, and phthalates, too. Plus the formula itself is shiny without any stickiness!
Oh, and one last thing for me to rave about - how cute is this bamboo cap:
Mally Waterproof Eyeliner in Ice Blue – Value $18
(Subscribers may receive a blending brush instead of this item)
I've received many Mally eyeliners over the years thanks to subscription boxes, so I'm never overly thrilled to see them in a box - but to be fair, the formula is great. The pencil is heavily pigmented, glides on smoothly, and stays put!
Swatched here with the lip gloss and eyeshadow shades:
Verdict: Between this box and the June box, I think Boxycharm is having a summer of amazing boxes! (Fingers crossed that they can deliver greatness in August, too!) I love every single item in this box, I think the Magnetic Palette is so useful, and the value is impressive too - $123! (That kind of value falls in the "I don't know how they do it" category for me!)
