Birchbox July 2016 Box Reveals Are Up!

I just got my July box and cancelled 3 minutes later. Two of my samples were foil-sized (some Shisheido eye crap i’ll never use and a dime-sized amount of Klorane conditioner) and the full-size stuff was a joke. The Klorane shampoo in the “bottle” wasn’t even enough for one wash. I do have long, thick hair, though. I also got that worthless can of water that everyone seems to get at some point. What a joke!

I was waiting for today, so I could use my points even if they don’t are a multiple of 100, and it worked.
Goodbye, Birchbox! 🙂

Shiseido Ultimune face
Shiteido Ultimune Eye packette
Marcelle Curl and lengthening mascara (I skipped sample choice).
I think it’s a great box. I am excited to to try all of it.
I really hate to shell out big $$$ for a product that does not
work for me then have to turn around and return it.

I keep trying to cancel my subscription but every time I click the link it still takes me to the page where it says if I leave now I won’t get the July box (which I’ve already been charged for). Hope they update this soon so I can just cancel and be done with it. I was debating on keeping Birchbox, but then I got two items this month that are almost identical to items I got last month, plus a perfume sample. Not impressed.

I was able to review my box today, and got 70 points for reviewing the curated box. 🙂 Hopefully, my sample choice box will ship soon, so I can review it before the 11th too.

WOW It looks like I’m getting 7 items this month.

I feel pretty glad I got the curated box. I have 7 products that I can already review, giving me another 70 points before the July 11 cutoff. Then I can review my August box, too, for those last 50 points.

Also, comparing to some of the boxes I see listed here, I’m satisfied with mine. I’m not super excited about it, but I’m definitely more excited than I would be for some of these others.

I was planning on canceling this month. I redeemed all my points (and even got the curated box as a GWP.) But I kinda like this box. I’m on the fence.

Beautiful nutrition faceless citrus shampoo ….. Sounds great, excited to try, and I seem to be in he minority but I love shampoo and conditioner samples!

Benefit They’re real mascara…,.again, I love mascara samples but I have only been getting BB for a couple months so I am not overrun with anything. I have wanted to try this one.

All in all I am pretty happy with mine this month. May was meh, June was good, so….for now I am hanging in there.

I am probably in the minority of not having a backlog so pretty much anything I will at least try! Pretty excited for this one!

I’m super happy with my box this month. I did not pick a sample and it worked out well. I am however on the fence of canceling due to the sizes of the samples, it made it worth it with the point system but now I’m not sure. It stinks because birchbox was always my fave sub box.

I got the exact same box that Liz posted. I have no clue what to do with canned water, and I don’t use brow stuff. Not a real win for me this month

So excited to get my millionth Catherine mallandrino tiny ass perfume sample! It smells terrible. And hey keep sending it, like its a good “5th” sample and like my review saying I hated it meant nothing

Aside from that I am getting another shampoo and conditioner- a mascar sample I chose, and a dr jart moisturizer. Le sigh.

I’m usually decently happy with my boxes but this month’s is terrible for me (I didn’t pick a sample choice). I was expecting they’d pull out the big guns this month to get more people to stay but doesn’t look like it with my box:

Brow pencil (I have Russian brows already), canned water, $49 shampoo (I’ll be afraid to wash it down the drain!), $49 conditioner (expect this to be a foil), salt spray and mascara.
Interesting…it’s a gift sub so it’s all okay with me.

Box looks great, but like so many, I think it is time to part ways with the Birchbox sub. Will probably still use the shop if there are sale codes though.

I skipped sample choice hoping I wouldn’t get a mascara but got one anyway. Meh

Not excited about my box. Two Shiseido products (everything I’ve ever tried has been too strongly perfumed for me), Dr. Jart moisturizer, Davines sea salt spray which I can’t use on my pixie cut, Coola sunscreen that I’ve sampled (from Birchbox) several times before, and the Marcelle mascara . Jealous of everyone getting shampoos and lip products! I think this is going to be it for me. :/

Clinique liquid facial soap – excited to try this as I love Clinique, but hoping they send the one for oily skin as there are multiple variations. If I get the one for dry skin, I won’t be able to use it.

Kiehl’s Hydro-Plumping Re-Texturizing Serum Concentrate – definitely looking forward to this.

Dr brandt pore dermabrasion – also looking forward to this. The only dermabrasion products that work for my skin need to be rough like I’ve heard about this.

Smashbox x rated mascara – my sample choice. I’m probably one of the few people who love getting lots of mascara samples. I also like the smaller sizes so I don’t feel guilty after 3 months to toss them.

Cartier Baiser Volé Lys Rose Eau de Toilette – another perfume sample, really? I have never liked any of the perfume samples they have sent me. In fact, only one I liked from a sub was sent as a bonus in my sephora box.

I’m on the fence here as I do like this box, but am wondering how big these samples are going to be. This is the last box in my one year sub, but I have a gift card for a six month sub that I bought on black Friday for 30% off, making the box $7 a month. Tbh, I like sephora better, but the sample sizes aren’t any bigger than birchbox. But, I can still get the 50 bonus points with sephora by buying a $5 mask in store once a month…hmm.

I like my box this month…it makes up somewhat for all the crap they sent me in June.

Surprisingly, I suspect every one of these items will be a hit! Hopefully my list doesn’t change before the 10th!

I didn’t pick this month hoping I just wouldn’t get a mascara. I really don’t care for the They’re Real or Smashbox, because they’re not waterproof.

– Rene Furterer KARINGA Hydrating Styling Cream / ok, cool.
– Balance Me Radiance Face Mask / meh, not a fan of face masks
– Smashbox X-Rated Mascara / nooooooooooo, I hate this formula.
– L’Oréal Professionnel Mythic Oil Nourishing Masque / thanks for glorified hair conditioner.
– Marcelle 3-in-1 Micellar Solution / I use a $7 Neutrogena makeup removing product. Wouldn’t spend $21 on a product to remove my makeup
– Coola SPF 30 Organic Makeup Setting Spray / I wonder if this is enough for my whole face, My experience with Coola samples is quite poor.

I don’t know how I feel. Whatever I guess. I’m in it until November.

Wow, I’m seeing 6 items…which means I can forgive the perfume sample. Which when I first saw, I DID do an eyeroll.
