My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton and Jodi Meadows - Retail Value $17.99 (On Amazon for $10.58)

Book Summary from Amazon:

The comical, fantastical, romantical, (not) entirely true story of Lady Jane Grey. In My Lady Jane, coauthors Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows have created a one-of-a-kind fantasy in the tradition of The Princess Bride, featuring a reluctant king, an even more reluctant queen, a noble steed, and only a passing resemblance to actual history—because sometimes history needs a little help.

At sixteen, Lady Jane Grey is about to be married off to a stranger and caught up in a conspiracy to rob her cousin, King Edward, of his throne. But those trifling problems aren’t for Jane to worry about. Jane gets to be Queen of England.

Like that could go wrong.

This book is signed by all three authors:

I'm only a few chapters into the book so far, but I'm already really enjoying it. To be honest, I kind of knew I'd be enjoying it before I even got to the first chapter:

Juniper & Ivy Designs Deathly Hallows Magnet - Value $8

Probably not something you'll read me saying often, but I think this is a pretty tasteful and classy magnet! (I'm also 100% biased on all things Harry Potter, so factor that in my opinion!)

upper-case-box-june-2016-tote

Risa Rodil Designed Tote Bag - Value $12?

I'm estimating on the value of this tote because it is an Uppercase Box subscriber exclusive! (If you like Risa Rodil designs, I definitely recommend this subscription. Risa Rodil exclusive designs are a bit of a staple!)

Verdict: This box has a value of about $30. I'm estimating on the tote, and the book is signed, so that may make the value higher to many people. I'm almost always happy with this subscription. I think the curation is great, and it seems like my taste in YA books is similar to Lisa's so that works out very well!

What do you think of this month's Uppercase box? Have you read the book yet?

OWLCRATE June 2016 SPOILER ALERT:

FYI - this exact book is also the Owl Crate book of the month. This is the first time they've ever had the same book - hopefully the last, too!

I am totally bummed as this is my first Owlcrate and yes I subscribe to Uppercase and Owlcrate now and both sent the same book. Uppercase’s is signed which is a plus, Owlcrate’s is not and they’re both hardback. The real bummer is that I also have a paperback ARC signed to me by all three authors too that I got at Y’allWest. So yep, the Owlcrate book is going up for swap. Now if LitJoy sends the same book not only will heads roll, but book clubs will be put on notice! I buy very few books these days (that’s what my library and tax dollars are for) and can’t afford to keep paying for the same book over and over!

Hahahahaha! I seriously just busted out laughing! At first I was like “room for Leo on the door?” And then I looked at the “evidence” picture and just lost it! Because yes, HE COULD HAVE FIT! That has always bugged the crap out if me! Now I might have to read this book.
