The Willie Wags pays such close attention to detail in how the package and wrap their items. Everything was wrapped, or tied with twine and had its own card detailing product info, price and website/contact information for the creator. One of my favorite parts of the The Willie Wags box is how each information card has a Willie Wags lesson at the bottom.

Earrings

Sterling Silver Earrings by The Rubbish Revival- $9.00

I love these dainty silver heart earrings. I frequently wear dainty jewelry so these are so perfect for me! I think the fact that they are made from up-cycled silver makes them even more special.

Book

Year of Yes by Shonda Rhimes - $14.02 on Amazon (retail price $24.99)

If Shonda Rhimes’ name sounds familiar to you it’s because she created Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal. This book has awesome reviews on Amazon and now that school’s out for the summer (for me!) I will have much more time to read. This is going to the top of my list. Shonda had anxiety and avoided many social situations, she always claimed to be too busy when invitations arose. Then one day after being called out by her sister for never saying yes, she decided to try doing just that for an entire year.

From Amazon:

This poignant, intimate, and hilarious memoir explores Shonda’s life before her Year of Yes—from her nerdy, book-loving childhood creating imaginary friends to her devotion to creating television characters who reflected the world she saw around her (like Cristina Yang, whose ultimate goal wasn’t marriage, and Cyrus Beene, who is a Republican and gay). And it chronicles her life after her Year of Yes had begun—when Shonda forced herself out of the house and onto the stage, appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and giving the Dartmouth Commencement speech; when she learned to say yes to her health, yes to play and she stepped out of the shadows and into the sun; when she learned to explore, empower, applaud, and love her truest self. Yes.

What an inspiration to get over our fears and just go for it!

Print

‘But First, Coffee’ by Written for You - $7.00

What a cute print and I’m in love with this cursive font. Rachel Riddell is the creator behind Written for You on Etsy. Her shop is temporarily closed while she moves to Nashville just as an FYI. I’m not a coffee drinker, but I have the perfect teacher friend and coffee addict to pass this along to!

Glow

Glow for a Cause Body Butter- $16.00

The scent of the body butter is called “dream”. It’s a little flowery for me personally and I didn’t find it particularly moisturizing which is surprising for a body butter.

Glow for a Cause Solid Perfume - $16.00

Solid perfume is one of my favorite things to pack when I’m traveling. This solid perfume is called “wander” and it smells of jasmine, vanilla and sandalwood. I love how warm and sultry it smells. It’s made with shea butter, beeswax, coconut oil and vitamin E. There is also a vegan formula made without beeswax if you prefer.

Glow for a Cause Roll-On Perfume - $18.00

This roll-on perfume is an oil blend so it has some real staying power. The scent is named “inspire” which has citrus top notes and a floral finish. I prefer the “wander” scent in the solid perfume formula, but this one is nice.

Card

Mother’s Day Card by Flair and Paper- $4.25

I adore this card and though it arrived too late for this Mother’s Day I will tuck it away into my stationery organizer for next year. This card is blank inside for your own message and is printed on thick cardstock. Flair and Paper has a ton of funny and wry cards to browse and buy.

Baggu

Baggu Open

Reusable Bags by Baggu- $9.00 each (pack of two)

Baggu bags are wonderful! I’m always glad to get these in a subscription box. I love the colors/patterns Willie Wags selected too. One is hot pink (almost neon) and one is navy and white striped. Both are perfect for summer. They come with their own storage pouch so you can keep them with you in your car or purse to have an extra tote whenever needed. Plus they are washable!  I use mine when we go to the local farmer’s market.

Verdict: The curation was on point once again for this box. Every item felt unique and fun and knowing everything came from women-owned businesses and artists made it even better. The value for this box was $102 (using the Amazon price for the book). I’m very happy with that value and I love being introduced to so many different Etsy vendors. The Willie Wags is hands-down one of my favorite subscription boxes!
