Thanks so much to Lisa for sharing these pictures of the 2016 Sephora Sun Safety Kit with us!

The 2016 Sephora Sun Safety Kit is available in stores now! (I recommend calling ahead just to make sure they have it in stock before making a trip.) It will available online within the next few days (hopefully) too!

The Box: Sephora Sun Safety Kit (Not available online yet)

The Cost: $32

The Products: $127 Value

Good to know: $20 of the sale goes to the Skin Cancer Foundation.

What do you think of the kit this year? Are you going to grab a kit in store (or online soon)?

FYI - the Sephora Favorites The Ultimate Travel Bag kit has been restocked!

Check out last year's 2015 Sephora Sun Safety Kit. And our Play! by Sephora subscription box reviews, too!

It’s an App-Only Exclusive right now. The app homepage says it’s 15 items for $27, but the details page (and shopping cart) show the correct price of $32.

Becca

Online i mean. Sorry my bad

I didn’t see it on my app. Perhaps for VIB or rouge only?

This looks like the exact same kit I got at JC Penney’s last month at the beginning of the month. I did love everything in it…but I also loved their travel on the go kit so think I’ll be able to pass on this one!

I went to Sephora yesterday and was told that they had the kits in the back but couldn’t sell them until corporate gave them the go ahead.

Coola Product looks like their Makeup Setting Spray

I picked one up at Mall of America on Saturday. I didn’t see it displayed so I asked and they went into the back to get one for me – they hadn’t put them out yet. They did say they only get about 30 and all get sold in a couple of hours. Nice sizes of products!

I just called my (San Diego – UTC) store and they do not have it yet. Pooh!! If they don’t have it by end of day Monday, I’m going to get the Macy’s one. I need something for a trip where I leave on Friday and I’m running out of mail delivery/pick up time.

Quick question – are we allowed to post items from this and other Sephora kits for swap? I already have the Ultimate Travel Bag kit and there are a few items in there that I don’t want (including the Sunday Riley item) and if I can snag one of the Sun Safety kits online I’m not interested in the self-tanners. I want to be sure it’s allowed before creating a new listing. Thanks in advance!

I think the unidentified item is the Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protection Cream SPF 50+ WetForce, 15ml Deluxe Sample.

This is appears in the Macy’s sun kit and seems to have the same color tube.

It’s the made by sugar is a colored sunblock spf chaplipstick they had it in the birchbox extras.

Will most likely get this if I can catch it in time online! This was my gift request for Mother’s Day and my poor husband has been checking Sephora’s site a few times a week since May trying to get it for me. I like a lot of the products in this set, plus the charity donation is always feel-goodly. I only wish it didn’t include BB creams or self tanners.

I use SPF daily and so I’ve purchased the Macy’s kit and the Birchbox kit too! Can’t wait to organize all my summer hauls when they arrive. 🙂

I dont know if I need it now ,
I got the Macy!s and the one from Birchbox.I do tend to forget about skin care because after beating cancer I really don’t go in the sun.Im trying to turn over a new leaf and be safer

Ugh, waiting for it to be posted online. Want it so bad!!

I just called my Sephora and they do not have it yet. Sephora in JCP does have the sun safety 12 piece set for $27. They are holding one for me.

Ann

I went in to pick it up, since they held one for me, and when she tried ringing it up it came up as a do not sell! She called her manager and she said they aren’t allowed to sell them until June 16th! She felt bad for me and filled up a bunch of sample containers with the same products for free. This was the JCP Sephora by the way.

Cindy

I wish the biggest product/value was not a self tanner.

Tricia

I’m pretty sure this is just the Sephora inside JCP one. I bought two of these last month for my cruise. They have been out for a while. I haven’t seen one from the regular Sephora stores. Maybe they will be the same?

Tricia

Nevermind. It’s just very similar.

Katherine

Looks okay. Very much like last year’s though… I dunno, I guess after waiting on this for so long it kinda lost its shine now that I see what’s all in it ?

Reply ButtonReply

Lindsay

pretty sure the coola is the setting spray we have gotten in birchbox previously

Reply ButtonReply

Marion

That’s what it looks like to me, too.

there is a girl who somehow knows everything about sephora before they sell it and always posts the spoilers on the beauty talk forum on sephora- and she posted this like a month ago with all the items-why I knew that. there is also a french themed sephora fav box coming out sometime soon that looks promising.

I would have gotten this but since they made me wait so long I have now found myself fully stocked on sunscreen samples- many of which are in this box- and also a full sized coola. I am good for the year!

Adele

I was interested in this, but looking at previous years it looks like the amount of items and value has gone down while the price has gone up. Hopefully they’ll have it in the store when I go this weekend and then I can decide.

i’m with you here. i have last years kit and was so excited but seriously have like half of it still unused. i think i just get scared to try new sunscreens like this without reading. sometimes i wonder is it a true sunscreen or just a lotion type thing not necessarily designed for real sun use. i end up throwing this stuff in a drawer to research later and never get to it. i feel like the value is so so here.

I’ve been waiting for this since april, but then i stocked up on the macy’s sun essentials kit on sunday and a couple of items are dupes (PTR, tarte, shiseido, clarins). i love the algenist and wanted to try the MDsolarsciences, dr jart, and boscia, but not $32… if only this had come out on sunday i’d have gotten it…

Mary Beth

This is very reminiscent of last year’s. A lot of these are the same products.

Reply ButtonReply

Ragan

That plus they added the self-tanner back in instead of having separate kits.

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

is the self tanner full size. I have been wanting to try that.

Lee

Meh. Not super exciting for me.

Lilly

Finally!!
