Info Card

An info card was included listing each item in the box. They also gave some discussion ideas for the book that you can use with your child to explore the book’s topics more deeply.

Book

The Bear and the Piano by David Litchfield - $11.46 on Amazon (retail price: $16.99)

This is a beautiful story about a bear cub who finds a piano in the woods and over time teaches himself to play. He ends up going to New York City to play and becomes famous. But he longs for the woods and his friends. This is a tale about following your heart and staying true to who you really are.

necklace

Musical Note Necklace by Unforgettable Jules - $12

I love that this subscription includes something special for the adults as well. This necklace is adorable and I can’t wait to give it my dear friend who teaches voice lessons! This Etsy page has a ton of awesome necklaces, I will definitely be buying a few for myself and gifts.

Guitar

Inflatable Guitar and Wooden Maraca - $4?

The musical instruments were a nice inclusion to the box since the book has a musical theme. Unfortunately the guitar wouldn’t hold air and kept deflating. My daughter is having fun with the maraca though.

Mask

Bear Mask by Opposite of Far - $22

What an adorable mask! Both of my kids have been enjoying taking turns being a bear. This is very well made and the Opposite of Far website has so many other cute masks, tails, and paws.

Quinn Mask

Here is my daughter wearing the mask and playing with the maraca.

Poster

The Bear and the Piano Poster - $1?

I’m always looking for new posters to hang in my library at school so this will be going right into work this week.

Verdict:  The kids and I loved our first LitJoy Crate! I thought this box was thoughtfully curated and had great value ($50). I’m so excited to receive our next box and see what theme they choose.

I think the info card picture here might be for a different [beauty] box. 🙂
