Gremlins Shirt - Value $15?
This month's shirt features Gremlins! This is a great shirt - pizza party after midnight!
The Omen Vinyl - Value $10-15?
This is a Horror Block exclusive this month! While it's cool for me to get a vinyl since I have a record player, I'm assuming most do not - maybe this is why there are so many items this month?
Pocket POP 3-Pack - Value $17.15 on Amazon
This was my favorite item of the month! I was even more excited to find out that these Pocket POPs don't come with the detachable keychain - so they're immediately ready for display.
I love any POP with Freddy and Jason - so this is perfect.
Deathgasm Blu-Ray - Value $20-25 on Amazon
I'm actually excited to watch this one after reading a bit about it. It's pitched as a horror comedy, which I love (I immediately think of Dale & Tucker vs. Evil).
Here's a bit about the plot:
High School is Hell! Metal-thrashing Brodie is an outcast in a sea of jocks and cheerleaders until he meets a kindred spirit in fellow metalhead Zakk. After starting their own band, Brodie and Zakk s resentment of the suburban wasteland leads them to a mysterious piece of sheet music said to grant Ultimate Power to whoever plays it. But the music also summons an ancient evil entity known as Aeloth The Blind One, who threatens to tear apart existence itself. Their classmates and family become inhabited by demonic forces, tearing out their own eyes and turning into psychotic murderers... and this is only the beginning! It s up to Brodie, Zakk and their group of friends to stop a force of pure evil from devouring all of mankind.
I subtracted a tiny bit from the value since it's without a slipcase or any liner notes. This is more of the version you'd find in one of those giant bins of DVDs.
Jason Pin - Value $5?
We get this awesome Jason pin this month. I'm not big on pins, but this is about as good as it gets for a Horror pin!
Penny Dreadful #1 - Value $3.99
I haven't watched this series or read the comics, but I did read this issue. It definitely seems like something I'd like, and I know people love the show as well. Too many things to watch!
Rue Morgue - Value $9.95
As always, we get the latest Rue Morgue. My brother loves these, so these get passed off.
Verdict: This month's Horror Block was packed full - and it was one of their better deliveries! I'm loving the shirt, movie, and Pocket POPs - so that's a value win right away! What's interesting is that Nerd Block started the year pretty heavily on exclusive items (salt and pepper shakers, wine corks, pins, etc), but it seems that they have slowed down on this tactic. If they can keep delivering the awesome items like this month, I'll be OK with that change.
