I tried the pore pack, and it’s awesome! It’s a one time use though. I will purchase a full size. The mascara is pretty good too. I have cancelled, but those items are nice. I got a red gloss that I also like.

I got my box today and received:

* Icona mascara
* Lue spot control
* La Splash lip laquer in sugar rush
* 2 tan towels
* Caolion pore duo pack
* Sebastian hairspray
* Sebastian hair oil

I subscribed using the Gilt City deal and all stuff I got I can and will use so I am happy.

Weird and disappointing doesn’t even begin to describe it.. didn’t get anything I was looking forward to in this box, nothing at all. Not one. Hair spray and oil sample, mascara, pink lip gloss, tan towels, a sheet mask (not shown in any of the photos, didn’t get the caolion items mentioned) and stupid Vichy canned water. No polish at all. No nail spray at all. Paid full price. Worst contents I have ever seen in a Glossybox. Just awful. Can’t believe I paid good money for this junk. Seriously, mascara, pink lip gloss and tan towels. I need to cut back on sub boxes. Guess who just moved to the front of the line?

Hmmmm…I think I have to cry foul on the retail value Glossybox posted for the LA Splash diamond lip gloss. I found a set of 5 on a website called The Dance Shop of Logan (?) for $10. So that’s $2 each. It’s hard to tell the size from the photos or description but it looks the same as what we received.

So couple that with $2.50 nail polish and two tan towels that very few people use and you have the makings of a pretty poor box. Never ever in a million years would I have expected that a hair spray sample and random mascara would end up being the “good” items in a $21 box!!!

This one is a HUGE miss for me…oh well. ?

Laura

Definitely a miss for me, I went ahead and cancelled this sub. Trying beauty fix next.

Taya

That was my first subscription and I highly doubt I’ll ever get rid of it. It’s mostly just skincare items and sometimes haircare…they also used to send a few makeup items, but they haven’t really for a while now (I wish they still did).

At first I was like ughh, this is an old lady box (I’m 26 now) lol, but then I started thinking about ageing and getting wrinkles (don’t have any yet) and then I was like ahhhh this box is a necessity lol. I’ve been subscribed around 3 years, I think?

Jamie

I was looking forward to the nail polish and finishing spray but I didn’t get either in my box. I wish I hadn’t subscribed. This box is a total waste of money. 6 more months to go.

I received below:
Sebastian Prefessional Hair spray and sample oil – I don’t really use hair spray, so will be gifted.
Icona Milano Mascara – I am in the minority, but I am ok about receiving mascaras in sub boxes. I use mascara everyday and I never have to buy one now, lol.
LA Splash lip gloss in Sugar Rush – I don’t know if the value of $18 on the info card is correct as I cannot find the product online. This is borderline bold color for me, but I will give it a try.
Tantowel (2 packets) – I don’t use self tanning products, so this is another bust for me, so will be gifted.
Caolion Bubble & Cool Pore Pack Duo – Is this one-time use? I like masks of any kind, so looking forward to trying it, but hope I get more than one use out of it.
Vichy Thermal Water – I wouldn’t pay retail price, but I like using it. I use it mid-day at my very dry office to hydrate, carry a small one to my long haul flight, and take it to beach or cool down after being under the sun. I think one MSA reader suggested to use after masks and I think it is a great idea!

It looks like nobody is receiving the nail spray? I thought that was a good incentive product for me to paint my nails more often. Overall, I am underwhelmed with the box.

Toni

Me too, just got my Boxycharm today and it rocks as always

Toni

I just bought this same polish at target last night for $ 2.50

nana

I also got my box and got what most people seem to have gotten, which basically amounts to:

– 2 full size, make-up items, not exciting but OK and, most importantly, NOT MADE IN CHINA (Icona waterproof mascara & LASplash lip gloss)

– 1 K-beauty one-time mask sample (which I’m happy to get)

– 4 Target-box-like samples of cheap products sold at Target (SinfulColors nail polish, Sebastian hairspray & oil and 2 towelettes)

The first 3 items are acceptable, the last 4 are not – even in lieu of 2 better items.

Now, I only paid $9 for this box as part of a yearly subscription, so I’m fine with what I got, but I’d be livid if I’d paid full price.

Got both of my boxes today, both had:

– Sinful nail polish in Kosmic – its a lavender glitter polish, more appropriate for teens
– Sebastian hair finisher and oil – would have preferred the creme mousse but oh well; i do
look forward to oil sample although it is tiny
– la splash lip gloss – $18 my butt, you can get them for $2 easily but i kinda like the color
sugar rush, its a warm coral. Moreover, i never tried this brand before because i usually
too scared to try cheap lip care products but this gloss is made in the USA so it should be
safe to use on my lips.
– Icona Mascara- well its waterproof so thats good
– caolin clay mask set – sounds very interesting
– Vichy water spray – so so so glad i got this and not the tanning wipes -its a really hot day, so i spritz some on my face and it felt great will put one in my bag, i’ve been wanting to try one of these spritz for forever, thanks Glossy now i just have to see how it holds up compared to urban decay all nighter setting spray. 🙂

Got my box today and am so very disappointed.

Between the first and second set of spoilers, there were 10 items. Of the 10, there were four that I found appealing: Leighton Denny Nail Spray, Vichy water, Lue Clear Spot treatment, and Caolian sheet masks. Of course, I got NOT ONE of these four in my box.

The six items I got (the mascara, nail polish, lip color, tanning towel, travel sized hair spray and some pore treatment thing) are more worthy of a Target box than a Glossy Box. Matter of fact, Target HAS sent us Sinful Colors nail polish, travel sized hairspray and tanning towels recently! There’s absolutely nothing high end or cutting edge in this box.

It’s like the month where one of my five items was a $3 bottle of Not Your Mother’s Sea Salt Spray, again identical to something recently received in a Target box.

When my year subscription is up on this one, I am DONE.

Traci Rhein

I received those exact same items and was left shaking my head….what are they doing??? The most exciting part of the box was the box itself…that’s not good. I wonder if this is the beginning of the end of this company? I noticed they are doing all they can to give away past boxes so I’m thinking they aren’t turning a profit and are about to close up shop.

Hi just reading comments cause i have been looking for a new box I’ve been with ipsy over a year and its getting to where they give the same things over. Thinking of cancle with them but it sounds like this is not the box for me.

Mala

Just curious to know if anyone has received the Vichy thermal spa water? I haven’t seen it in anyone’s post on Twitter or Instagram.

Just got my box today. It wasn’t as terrible as I originally thought, but I’m still disappointed in the brands. I think I’d prefer a Rimmel mascara over the one they sent! I went ahead and cancelled even though I’ve only subbed for 3 months. Unless the brands are to die for in a future box, I won’t be coming back.

In its place, I’ve subbed to the Look Fantastic box instead. I wish there were reviews for it on here! It looks uh-mazing. I can’t wait to get my first box. It’s 22/mo, free shipping, and 7 samples of brands I’ve actually heard of and respect. Did I mention it shipped the day after I ordered? Hint, hint MSA! Would love some reviews of the Look Fantastic box!

Reply ButtonReply

Taya

I’ve mentioned look fantastic before but was ignored! I’ve only been subscribed 3 months, but I love it. This month’s was a little disappointing because the sizes were smaller, but oh well lol. They include an extra product in every box too which is also cool.

I am disappointed, disillusioned and down right angry with Glossybox concerning my June 2016 box. The only decent item in this box is the Sebastian whipped hair product. The rest of the box is horrible. I have enough mascaras to last a lifetime from various subs I receive. We get another mascara. Ho hum. I find I get a mascara in almost every box with every sub I receive. How many flippin mascaras does one person need????? The lipstick is another pitiful excuse and a meh. The Jenner nail product is a .99 item from a discount drug store. I pay good money for Glossybox as does everyone else and this is despicable. The hair oil is a tiny sample I can get at any department store or salon free. The foil samples are freebies at cosmetic counters as well. The masksin this box are a meh and seem to be more geared toward the twentysomethings. I am a career woman and 30+. I look for my subscriptions to enhance my daily routine not make me look like a slut or street walker (the Kardashian/Jenner effect.) I expect high end products from Glossybox and not .99 items and cosmetic counter freebies. I also expect them to know that career women need products that last all day and into the evening. They are NOT reading my profile or the profiles of many according to their Facebook page. Glossybox has been steadily going down hill for the past few months. I have had numerous issues with missing product, broken product and no packaging included in several boxes in the past few months. I have been able to resolve these issues with customer service but it is a catch as catch can process to contact Glossy’s customer service. The only great thing about this box is the design of the box itself, which is not worth the $21. Yesterday it was BB that screwed over its subscribers and now I am wondering if Glossy is headed the same way. I expressed my concerns on their FB page and they removed my post and it is virtually verbatim of what I am saying here. I love Glossybox’s Special Edition boxes and most of the time their monthly boxes, if their customers concerns are not important then I will be cancelling them as well. I have plenty of GB points and have subscribed for over a year now. I hope Boxy and #LF doesn’t change. Allure is cheaper and looking better everyday.

The pore pack is a one time use, hair oil is tiny, a travel hairspray, 2 tan towels, fuscia Kylie nail Polish, red LA splash gloss and a mascara with poor reviews. The gloss is nice and opaque. The other things have little value to me.

Taya

Sorry, idk why it responded to your comment lol

Umm, were we supposed to get 7 or 8 products? I didn’t get a nail polish

Wish I had cancelled last month. I’m now down to just my Allure box, Walmart and Target when they look good…. I dropped Ipsy, Birchbox, Glossybox and Dermfx… maybe I’m just burned out on boxes but just seems like this time of year the boxes suck… even Allure was a little bit of a disappointment for me especially after May’s box because it included a Kardashian product. Anybody have any recommendations for something new and excited?

Reply ButtonReply

Flubs

If you like bath stuff, I heard the Lavish and Sarenzo bath subs are good. I haven’t tried them myself but I saw a few youtube videos and got positive feedback from friends. I know what you mean about being burned out by boxes though. Thankfully I’m a Lush Kitchen addict so I’ve exchange some subs for that lol.

Sara

I did a 3 month trial….none of them did anything for me…at all….oh well, it’s good for me…I haven’t been able to give up any of my other boxes, so glad this one isn’t calling my name. : )

I got the Whipped Creme, not the hair spray, so some of us got other variations. I received the following:

Sebastian Whipped Creme
Sebastian Dark oil (very small sample)
Icona Milano Mascara
Sinful Colors polish
Caolin face mask (a variation on the listed one, I think for sensitive skin?)
LA Splash Lip gloss
Tan Towels

I really would have loved the nail mist!!! I normally would be thrilled for any polish – even a cheapo brand like Sinful Colors (honesty, it wears better than some of my expensive stuff) but I hate the texture of this finish. Maybe I am too old for it. Otherwise, I’m okay with the box. The lip gloss lives up to its name but I am not sure it is my color (or maybe I am not used to being that bold) and I am looking forward to trying the whipped creme and face mask.

Sara

I got the same box today, soooooo very disappointed. If I spent $21 on this box, I’d be so pissed it’s not even funny. I’m mad I spent $8 on it. The only thing I like and will keep is the Sinful nail polish, which isn’t worth $8, I buy it for like $2 at CVS or Walgreens.

I was soooooo looking forward to the nail spray and thermal water, two things I didn’t get. The LA Splash lipgloss I got, is a weird coral color, and they sell it at Sears………for $7…….no way in hell is that lipgloss $18, they don’t even sell it on La Splash’s website. I got a different pore mask too than the one pictured. Words can’t even express how bad this box is.

Toni

I did spend 21.00 on this crapy box ,The Tony award box are they kidding me.heres what I got Sebastian whipped cream with a tini tiny 2 ml of dark oil,La Spash,Icona mascara ( cuz I don’t have 93 containers of it) Sinfulcolor,a sheet mask, and 2 tan towels not worth 21.00 is it sad that I’ll miss the box and when I say box I mean the actual box.Bye Glossybox I’ll miss you

Starlet

I received this exact box and it is just horrible. The nail spray would have been wonderful. So disgusted, disappointed, disillusioned.

OMG! I was about to purchase my FIRST GLOSSY BOX the other day but I decided to wait for spoilers. Im so glad I didn’t purchase this season’s box. Its sooooo disappointing! Just like what other comments mentioned, i really don’t like sun tanning sheet at all! I have a few of those for FREE after purchasing from other sites.

Reply ButtonReply

AnnaD

This box is a bit of a disappointment. I have zero interest in any fake tanning products, I am extremely pale and they never lead to a color that would ever be described as natural to me. Anything branded by either a Jenner or Kardashian will go immediately into the rubbish bin and cause me to reconsider my subscription. I will not support anything that they are associated with.

Reply ButtonReply

Melissa

whats wrong with the Jenner or Kardashian brand?

Reply ButtonReply

Tanya Vines

i agree on the Kardashian brand wholeheartedly.

Reply ButtonReply

nana

Yikes! This box is looking even worse! With $2 nail polish, hairspray, a one-use tanning sheet and other small samples it looks like a Target box, and those are $5-10!

Reply ButtonReply

Karen

I agree. This doesn’t look like a $21 box at all.

Glossybox is amazingly inconsistent.

Reply ButtonReply

Carla

The one item I was excited about, the nail spray, is now gone. That’s disappointing to say the least. Everything else is pretty uninspiring.

NOTE to Glossybox – people subscribe to higher end boxes to try higher end products and to try NEW & UNUSUAL products. We can get (and have gotten!) Sinful Colors nail polish and tanning towelettes in our Target boxes.

Reply ButtonReply

Crystal

Totally agree with you !
Worst box ever
I got mine and nothing exciting or that I needed or will use.
I saw on the LA splash website that the lipgloss is only 2.99$
Card says its worth $18 ??
Very dishonest SMH ?

Taya

I bought a 7 pack at Ross for $3.99

Straight away I was like wtf? LIARS!!!!! lol

Laura

Me five. Dang.

I was most excited about the nail spray too!

I’ll just wait and see — I’ve kind of given up on spoilers from Glossy as they seem to be fairly unpredictable,.

May God forgive me for bringing a Kartrashian/Jenner product into the house.

I’m so happy they changed the box. Crossing my fingers I don’t get a nail polish or that can of water since I just got one in my Birchbox
