This was the information card that was included in the package, detailing the contents. In addition to the details of each item, it also talks a bit about the story behind each artisan. That’s such a nice touch!

Silver Circular Earrings by the Starfish Project – Value $15.99

These little earrings are so beautiful and delicate! I will definitely got a lot of wear out of these. These were made by women at the Starfish Project, an organization that provides housing, counseling, educational opportunities, vocational training, health care, and dignified employment for women who have been abused.

Anokhi Green Paisley Scarf – Value $48

This scarf is so lovely, the green color reminds me of fresh spring grass, but the other shades make it perfect for fall, too. This scarf was made by craftsmen in India who hand-printed it using carved teak Blocks! Fair trade allows them to stay and work in printing villages rather than moving to big cities. Moreover, Anokhi does not use child labor, and provides daycare for all mothers of young children working for them. That’s really awesome.

Verdict: I really enjoyed my first package from Thread & Flourish! I felt like everything in it was pretty special, and that subscribing means supporting a better way of life for many different people around the world. I also really like the scarf and earrings and will get lots of use out of them. The package has a value of about $69, which I think is great for a $40 box.
