craftly-june-book

It's a Punderful Life by Gemma Correll - Value $13.10 on Amazon (retail price: $14.95)

I'm only into puns if they're extremely clever. That is all. My kids, however, are just getting into them, so this book is hilarious to them. From Amazon:

Puns often mistakenly get a bad rep, but if they're good enough for Oscar Wilde and Shakespeare (whose work featured over 3000 puns), it's good enough for us. Hot off the back of her incredibly popular Monday Punday online series, Gemma Correll has surveyed her army of punning fans to create this hilarious collection of her best illustrated puns, as well as loads of new ones. Over the following pages you will see grin-inducing puns such as Wonton Cruelty featuring sadistic dim sum, or rotten eggs hurling abuse at each other. The sweet tooth has brought you some flowers and the seal of approval is very pleased to meet you. With over 50 puns, this book will bring a smile to even the most miserable person's face.

craftly-june-balm

Tattly Temporary Tattoo - Value $5

I think I received this exact same tattoo from a Fancy box about two years ago. It's a cute joke, but unfortunately it's one I've already played.

Mojito Lip Balm by Malin + Goetz - Value $12

I also have received this lip balm several times in subscription boxes, and unfortunately, I'm not a big fan. The scent is nice, but it just kind of makes my lips feel slimy and doesn't actually do anything to soften or to heal the chap. I hope I'm not being too harsh, but I really wish subscription boxes would research items that have been played out in the subscription arena already. But if you're interested, there are plenty of these available on the swap boards!

craftly-june-snack

Cocoa Loco by Nourish Snacks - Value $2

I haven't tried these yet because I'm avoiding added sugar, but I will gladly let my sons try them. I love when the kids eat nuts (or legumes in this case). I love when they eat anything that actually comes from nature!

craftly-june-bracelet

"Hello Everyone" Bracelet by Electric Family X Craftly - Value $13.99

I thought this was a hair tie when I first saw it, and I think it actually makes a more interesting hair tie than bracelet. The idea behind Electric Family bracelets is for everyone in your "crew" to wear the same one, but that's not really my style at all. I wouldn't wear this as a bracelet, but it's pretty cute and unique as a hair tie.

Verdict: This month's Craftly was actually a miss for me, but I don't think it would be for everyone. Most of the reason it was a miss is just a matter of personal preference. Some people probably loved everything in this box. The value of this month's box was a little over $46, which is fantastic for a $25 box. There have been other boxes I've received from Craftly that I totally loved, so I'm hoping this was just a little bad luck for me.

I actually like that Malin + Goetz stuff…but I do think I’ve received it 3 or 4 times in boxes. I can’t smell it at all, though.
