Apocalypse Shirt - Value $15?
This month's shirt features the latest X-Men movie baddie - Apocalypse. I have yet to see the movie, but Apocalypse has been my favorite villain for years - so I'll try to stay away from spoilers! I like how they used the classic Apocalypse Now imagery.
Penguin Dorbz - Value $6-7 on Amazon
We get a Funko item this month, and it's a new figure for me - a Penguins Dorbz vinyl figure! Dorbz keep growing on me - I'm not sure how you all feel about them out - but while they're not as good as POPs to me, they're probably my second favorite Funko item.
Here's a close up of The Penguin figure.
Avengers Mini Wacky Wobblers - Value $20.20 on Amazon
This was my favorite item of the month - a set of 4 mini wacky wobblers! I was also a bit amazed at how much they actually look like the big screen counterpart.
Here are the Avengers. Assembled.
The Punisher #1 - Value $3.99
On to the comics. This is The Punisher - so parental advisory! This is a series I am most definitely going to read. It's very Frank Castle - it's dark and punishing.
Tank Girl #1 - Value $3.99
Major parental advisory here as well! This is the second time that I've ventured into the Tank Girl world. I'm not a big fan, but I liked this story line better than the first story that I read. I'm surprised that this is one of the early comic book movies made - it seems like now would be the time for a movie like this.
Verdict: The new format of Comic Block has fully won me over. I like getting the vinyl figures along with my comics - but it's certainly no longer a subscription that caters towards heavy comic readers. If you're looking for more collectibles, that are always comic related, then the new direction of this box is good for you.
