Info Card

This info card was included in the box and detailed all the included items.

Reading Rainbow Bookmark - $1.00?

I LOVE Reading Rainbow and have such fond memories of watching that show when I was in elementary school. I think it’s one of the things that inspired me to become a librarian. This bookmark is great!

Jelly Belly Jelly Beans - $0.50?

The fun fact for these jelly beans is that Ronald Reagan kept this exact kind in the oval office. My daughter loved these!

Pillowcase

Midway Classic Arcade Defender Pillowcase - $11.95

This pillow case made me laugh! My brother used to love these kinds of video games. It’s not a normal slip on case; this one has a zipper and is 100% polyester microfiber.

Coloring Book'

Totally Tubular 1980’s Coloring Book - $5.00?

I think this is a really fun coloring book and walk down memory lane for someone who grew up in the 80’s. It’s a Retro Pop Box exclusive.

Pop-a-point Crayon - $3.00?

This is another Retro Pop Box exclusive and goes along perfectly with the coloring book. I used to have these growing up and loved them. The worst was when you lost one point and then couldn’t push the others up anymore!

Shirt

Froman’s The Sausage King T-shirt- $15?

This short sleeve shirt is another exclusive. I didn’t get the reference of this shirt and had to Google it. It’s from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off! I had forgotten all about this scene. Love this movie and think the shirt is a lot of fun too.

Verdict: This was a fun box to open and go through because of the memories it brings back from my childhood. I especially liked the bookmark and coloring book this month. I had to guess on a lot of the individual prices since many items are exclusive. I’m not sure about total box value, but the curation was great.

That coloring book is RADICAL! It gave me such a chuckle. Michael Jackson, E.T., LA Gear high tops, Ghostbusters, Glow Worm, John McEnroe, Debbie Gibson, WWF wrestling… I just re-lived my childhood.

This box is leaps and bounds better than the 70s one. I was born in ’73, so the 80s was the decade of my youth and this speaks to my inner child loud and clear.

Nice review! I am such a film geek I caught Abe Froman “The Sausage King Of Chicago…” reference right away. This box looked like it was better curated than the 70’s version.

I LOVE that shirt. I wonder if it will ever come up in swaps.

This looks like a really fun box! I was born in 1980 and my husband was born in 1979, so we both recall all these types of items. I’m also really anxious to see the 90’s box!

Wasn’t so sure about this box after last month but I think now it might definitely become one for us to try!
