1up-jun-theme

This month's theme is "Survival". The kids are still burgeoning gamers, but they are well on their way to mega-geekdom.

This is the information card that was included in the package, detailing its contents. Please note that since many of the items in 1Up Box are custom / exclusive, lots of these values are guesses.

"Jawrassic Dead" Mashup T-shirt - Value $15?

Wow, I actually know everything that's going on in this t-shirt! That's a rare thing with moms and mash-ups. My eight-year-old loved and claimed this shirt because, well, zombie dinosaurs is a terrifying concept.

Vault Keychain - Value $4?

The boys don't play Fallout, but this is another score for my eight-year-old and his mighty keychain collection! 1Up also accidentally sent us two theme pins this month, pictured on the right.

Survival Key Cover - Value $3?

Apparently a big part of surviving the zombie apocalypse is taking excellent care of your keys. I'm going to use this because the kids don't yet have keys, but we don't watch Walking Dead, so I still had to Google this.

Jawrassic Sticker Card - Value $1?

My eight-year-old collects stickers, so this will definitely get used, but as stickers go, I think this is kind of a lame one. Just my opinion. Why is it on a playing card tho?

BioShock Little Sister Funko POP! - Value - $10.20

This is a cool little POP!, and obviously my kids were glad to add her to their collection, but they don't play BioShock. I find it interesting that this box says ages 17+. There's nothing whatsoever adult-ish about this POP!, but I guess it's just because the game is rated M? Maybe they don't want to entice children to play it somehow?

Verdict: We think 1Up Box is awesome! Everything they sent this month will go to good use, and pretty much any box that includes a POP! is a big win with my kids. The value this month adds up to about $33, which is great for a $20 box.
