NADINE WEST MAY 2016 - info 2

An interesting thing to note: on the top right of my info page, it says that they’ve given me a $5 credit towards this month’s delivery since I haven’t liked/kept anything in a while. I appreciate that.

NADINE WEST MAY 2016 - items 1

Swan Sparkle Necklace – Cost to Keep: $18.99

This necklace isn’t quite my taste – to be honest, it feels a little young for me. It’s cute, just not something I’ll wear myself.

NADINE WEST MAY 2016 - items 2

Scarf: Fleur Fanciful Wrap – Cost to Keep: $16.99

The colors in this scarf are pretty! It’s really light and perfect for summer.

NADINE WEST MAY 2016 - items 3

Lattice Love Coral Top – Cost to Keep: $16.49

Here’s my top this month. I don’t wear much of this color but I think I’ll have to now! I love the lattice details in the back, I just wish the top were a little longer.

Verdict: I didn’t keep anything this month, though I was tempted to keep the scarf. I just don’t think I ever actually wear scarves in the summer. If you’re looking for a fashion/accessories subscription that is a lower price point than other services out there like it (Stitch Fix, Trendsend, Trunk Club), this may be a box for you to try.

100% dissatisfied. Everything that I got was super cheap and tacky. I’m talking family dollar cheap. After I sent back my review and put on there I am no longer interested in the service they continued to charge me!! $6.50 a month to open a package and have to drop it off at the post office. I used Gwennie bee before and it was more expensive but at least I got to pick out what I wanted to try. I am really upset and feel stupid for thinking this was gonna be as awesome as Ipsy is. Unless you have money you would like to throw away- don’t try it.

I finally got my own Nadine West package, which I figured was kind of a low-cost risk, especially in comparison to Stitch Fix. After reading all your reviews, I was certainly not expecting to be blown away.. but yeah, I didn’t dig anything they sent me.

I did figure out what it reminded me of, though: it’s almost like someone went in to Charming Charlie and just picked out three things based on some limited information. I’m sure that’s not what they ACTUALLY do, but that is the quality level, with both the tops and the jewelry. I actually really like Charming Charlie, but there are so very many things there that I don’t like at all. That’s what this feels like. I think the questions they ask aren’t specific enough to pick out something that the person is actually going to like.. so they seem to go with more generic items. Of course, the exception might be this swan necklace! I also like it a lot, actually. But see, that’s what I’m saying. How would they know that I would like it and you wouldn’t?

My last 2 shipments I have sent back. The shirts are very see through. I can’t justify spending 23.49 for a summer shirt that I’m just have to wear a 2nd shirt underneath.

I haven’t tried the subscription yet, but the scarves and jewelry look to be the same quality you can find on eBay for $1 – $5 shipped from China.

I also used to be subscribed to Nadine West and eventually cancelled after a few months because I caught myself never really 100% satisfied with the items they sent me and I would just keep a piece of jewelry so I didn’t lose my $6. 50 for the shipping, but not because I was truly in love and then one month one of the items was a gift card to give to a friend because it could only be redeemed on new subscriptions and that kind of just didn’t sit well with me and had to cancel, but for anyone that likes their jewelry and clothing they send, then this is a good subscription service! The customer service was great and it was easy to cancel! From other reviews I’ve seen, I have no desire to resubscribe though!?

For some reason that swan necklace really speaks to me, I’m going to have to try and track it down!

What I like about Nadine is that they carry larger sizes! I actually wasn’t going to check them out because I’m a big gal and have it in my head that there aren’t subscriptions for me that would be affordable because of that (A lot of companies like to upcharge for literally a few cents difference in fabric) but I checked to see if they sold things separately and saw that they carry up to 3x! That’s really cool and I might have to try them out now.

If I might suggest that you briefly include what sizes they carry? If it hadn’t been for the necklace I would have just read your review and never thought of signing up since it wasn’t stated what sizes they carry.

I didn’t keep anything this month either. I did keep that same top (only mine was in black) when I got it a few months back, but notice that the rayon / spandex fabric snags and rips very easy. The button of my jeans rubbed just the wrong way once and I got a hole in the top. I’m finding that in ever top I get from them with the rayon blend, I’m getting 1-3 wears out of it before I get a rip, tear or snag. I continue to wear them until its bad but I had to cancel for that fact. It’s all I ever got anymore was black rayon blend shirts and tanks. Not spending that kind of money on a top that is so easily destroyed. I’ll stick to my cotton. It takes more abuse lol.

I totally get you. Even if I go cheap on my clothes, they must last me at least a few seasons otherwise, I feel like I’m throwing away money.
