This is a review of the standard box.

mystery-awesome-may-info

This is the only literature that arrived in this month's box. This month's SUPER box included a Roomba! Next month, they will be sending out at least five SUPER boxes containing an Amazon Echo! How exciting! Subscribers can also add items on from their site for "extreme" discounts. This month, there is also a 20% off coupon code for 13deals.com.

mystery-awesome-may-grill-set

3-Piece Stainless Steel BBQ Grill Set by Yard Play - Value $5

My husband was really happy to see this in the box! He loves grilling and likes to replace his tools frequently. The value on this seems low because this was the price at 13deals.com before it sold out. I don't know what the original retail value for this set was.

mystery-awesome-may-light

BBQ Grill Light by Yard Play - Value $19.99

This light is pretty nice, but I can't imagine grilling in the dark! I guess it might come in handy if you underestimate the amount of time it will take for the food to cook. I guess we'll try it out and see!

mystery-awesome-may-napkins

Moustache Napkins by Mara Mi - Value $2.99

The value for these napkins is based on the retail price of napkins that are similar by the same designer. These are kind of cute, but I don't really like novelty napkins in general. We will use these, but probably not for entertaining.

mystery-awesome-may-bowl

mystery-awesome-may-bowl-2

Non-Soggy Cereal Bowl by Cobble Creek - Value $14.99

I couldn't find this bowl for sale online, so the value and the link come from another product that's almost identical. The kids love cereal, but I can't recall anyone complaining about it being soggy! I'm not sure how useful this will be to us just yet.

mystery-awesome-may-glass

Glass Work Top Protector by Typhoon - Value $16.52

I don't really have enough counter space left to make a permanent place for this in the kitchen, but I think when the boys get new desks I could probably put this to use. I have to say, I think the joke is a bit of a stretch, though.

mystery-awesome-may-decals

Iron Man 3 Foil Wall Decals - Value $12

My sons both think Iron Man is awesome, of course, but they have a younger little buddy who is obsessed with Iron Man. I think they're going to pass these along to him.

mystery-awesome-may-wedge

Travel + Comfort Tablet Wedge by the Manhattan Toy Company - Value $28

I don't think anyone in my family is currently using a tablet heavily these days. I think this will really come in handy when we do, though!

mystery-awesome-may-coupon

And as always, the obligatory coupon to Hello Fresh was included.

Verdict: This wasn't my favorite box ever from the Monthly Mystery Box by Jamminbutter, but that's ok. Not every box can be the best one ever. I'm glad my husband got some new grill tools, and we did get a few things we can use, for sure. The value of this month's box was about $100, which is excellent for a $25 box! They always blow me away with their great value!

I got the bbq set, bbq light, same napkins, iron man wall stickers, plastic salad bowl with serving set, picnic blanket that zips up and has a strap, cooling lumbar support cushion, electrical squid (extension cord), and solar hula girl.

This was a win for me which is good. After last month, I was thinking about cancelling but not anymore.

Instead of the tablet pillow thing I got a huge cow printed blanket. Wish I could post pics in here. I’m glad o got this huge/soft blanket instead of the tablet pillow!

I received the same item’s, but instead of the Jaws board I got an ET ( EAT). I bought a similar grill set for 19.99 at Walmart, last year.

I also got ET it’s adorable.

That bowl would be good for Asian curries when you’d prefer your rice to remain sticky (and not soak in the liquids).

never mind … just noticed its for the standard box. The differences with the mega I got: A heavy beach mat, (heavier then the popsugar yoga mats ) more coupons, instead of a small bowl, i got a big one with tongs and more coupons (which i wont use) considering getting the smaller box now. for $10 more, value wise not including coupons it was around $20 more. – The napkins are the same as yours 40 pack, and price i’ve seen is 7.99 – if anyone is wanting them in a swap 40 napkins regardless of the RV is heavier to ship. Because that many napkins are heavier.

Opps, sorry, I started replying to your below post, then by the time I hit submit (after a side trip to another page) you had already answered your own question.

Is this review for the standard or mega box?

Asking because i got the mega box and theres not much difference

Jinytte

It’s for the standard. It’s mentioned right above the pic of the sheet of paper with the iRobot Roomba and Amazon Echo info.

I LOVE that bowl!

My box was similar. I had subscribed back in early April thinking I’d get the April box, but their deadline is pretty early. This box was sort of blah for me.

First, I think I got one less item than you did. I didn’t get the Glass Work Top Protector by Typhoon and I don’t recall their being something else instead. All the other items were the same except that instead of your bowl, I got a pic-nic/potlock salad bowl which I’m sure I’ll find useful.

The other items were sort of blah.

Nana, make sure to check the very bottom of your box, that’s where my cutting board was hiding. I did not realize it was there until later. Hope you did not throw your box away& also hoping they didn’t forget to send it to you. If they did trust me you’re not missing out. Lol

The glass work top protector was packaged in brown cardboard, similar to the main box, it is easy to miss, It may actually be by favorite item in the box- I can use it on the coffee table under candles/cups/plates, or under craft projects. Mine has a really cute fairy tale vibe with a moon and a wizard.

Sara

I love soggy cereal, that’s the best part of eating it! I let mine soak in the milk lol.

I got the deluxe box. The first three items and the iron man thing are the same. The iron man thing is the only real miss for me. Have no use for that.

I thought the Iron man decals were a miss until my son and his friend used them to decorate our college-aged daughters room while she was gone for the weekend. Kept them busy for hours and she still has them up in her room 🙂 They go great with the lilac walls :).

But we got the mega box and got the beach blanket that zips into its own carrier; the grill tools and light; a salad bowl with tongs; the napkins; a back pillow and cushion; the iron man decals; and extension cord with 5 plugs. My husband liked everything in the box.

Was the deluxe box worth the extra $$? I’m considering subscribing to this, but I can’t decide which to get.
