I’m new to Julep, this will be my second month. I was just wondering if the “June Maven Reveal” items will be available for purchase in June, like outside of the subscription box section, just on the regular site? I hope I’m asking this in an understandable way. In particular the skip the brush colors and the gold eyeliner color isn’t currently available to purchase directly on the site but they are available in Junes box choices. Will these new colors be available in June?

I feel like June is more May feeling and the May colors felt like June. Like they switched the two around. I loved the May colors btw!!! Did the full polish line upgrade! But think I’ll skip this month and wait for July. Nothing is really getting me too excited here. I’m buried in blush/bronzer/highlight products already.

So noob Julep question (only my second month), I added on the Banish June gloom and Best wedding guest Mystery polishes to my order. I noticed that one question mark is yellow and one is pink, is this an indicator of the color of the polishes? Or is it just completely random? Also, what is the free gift for ordering 3+ add-ons usually? Just decals, or polish or candy? I made sure I order 3 things to get it, I’m just impatient and wanna know what to look forward too 😀

I’m pretty sure the question mark colors are random.

The free gift is usually polish in my personal experience.

I finally took the plunge and took money that earned from selling one of my Vera Bradley bags to sign up for a 3 month sub. I have a huge collection of Julep already from mystery boxes but they seem to be slowing down on those lately. I’m excited to try the month to month sub but I’m realllllly hoping I don’t get the next month selection because I’m not crazy about the colors.

Just a heads up, there are two other gift options for new subscribers. I used “gift12” for “12 of their most popular polish shades” – from a quick look I’ll only be getting 3 dupes, possibly 4. $168 value.

The other option is similar to “fireworks”. It’s “hitched” and it includes 4 polishes, eye shadow duo, gloss, lipstick, liner and blush stick in pale pinks and neutrals for wedding season. $154 value

My default this time was the beauty set (bronzer stick, gold eyeliner, flamingo balm), last time my default was boho glam.

I switched the eyeliner for the invisible lipliner. The gold liner is gorgeous but I have a dozen eyeliners right now and only two lipliners. I switched out the bronzer for the face cleansing oil I’ve been wanting to try. I left the balm because my swap in options were meh.

I wish I could swap the color for the balm though. Oh well, who knows, that hot pink might be nice on me. Hope it is, since with the Sephora Play Bite Kimchi I’ve been double-whammied with hot pink lips.

I was gonna add on some nail polishes but saw five charges from julep already this month on my credit card statement. *cough* So no add ons this month, those polishes can wait for next time.

Does Julep ever reuse names of the polishes but for different styles/collections? For example, one polish I have is Alicia in Boho Glam, but could they have Alicia in a different collection (i.e. Classic with a Twist, Bombshell, It Girl, etc.)?
Just asking because I’m currently keeping a list of all Julep polishes I receive (names & styles) so I don’t duplicate, but it’d be nice if I could only keep tabs on just the name of the polish (…but then again I know there are only so many names out there). Thanks!

They might do a different spelling of the same name.

I don’t think they ever repeat names. I have never seen it.

I swore I was going to skip this month but the add ons got me all excited. I have several of the blush sticks already from the free gift specials, they’re nice but I don’t need more. I swapped everything out and got some good basics instead like the topcoat, ivory oxygen base coat and the face oil cleanser. My add ons are the skinny dip neutral trio , the mystery trio, and a konjac sponge (been dying to try that). This is only my second monthly box but I already have about 45 polishes… Just from their free gifts, mystery specials, steals, etc! Julep is way too fun!!!?

Im a luxe maven member and I selected three skip the blushes, a lip oil, and a new polish from the new collection for my monthly box I added on three polishes for $4.99 each! Cant wait to try the skip the brushes in Guava, bronze and sheer glow for summer!

I ended up with 5 polishes, the gold eyeliner (love the way those go on), and the passionfruit blush. For me, that’s actually a pretty light month!

The liner looks really pretty. Also put it in my box because its a perfect summer shade.

Oh, and I know a lot of people wanted to try the lip oil in the red shade Obsessed, and it’s listed as an available swap-in for one of the blush sticks.

Thanks! 🙂

I skipped this month. I don’t use highlighter or blush, and the nail polish colors didn’t grab me. I guess I will be shopping in Secret Store since I NEED to get Gemini. 😉

One of my subscriptions was spot on – I had the new bronzer, the gold eyeliner and a hot pink lip balm. I feel the beauty bio is what helped. I bought another subscription a month or so ago for the “one month free” promotion, but never completed the bio, and the box they had for me was “meh”. I’m going to copy my bio over and see if that works for next month.

Does anyone know if I can switch my 24.99 subscription to the 19.99 instead? I am thinking of cancelling my original subscription since the second one is cheaper (even if it is prepaid), unless I can switch up my original.

I asked Julep customer care this question today and they said you can change an account from the monthly $24.99 to a 3 month prepaid plan. (The 3 months will all be charged at once since it is prepaid though.)

Oh great, thank you!!

This is my first box with Julep! So I actually swapped out everthing they picked for “starter” items – Freedom top coat, Vanish cuticle remover, and the nail polish remover. I added on a couple of nail polishes for $5. I’m excited about the curated boxes in the future, though. They all looked great.

I would totally forget about this if not for these posts. I don’t often check the email address my Julep account is associated with.

P.S. Do they change your default box if you swap out a lot of items for a couple of months in a row? I could swear they always used to put me as “Classic with a Twist” but now they have me as “It Girl.” Which is honestly probably better since I am more into the nail polish than the beauty products.

I asked Julep customer care this question today and they said they do not change your default box selection/profile based on what items you select for your box or any other reason.

The profile, Classic with a Twist vs. It Girl, etc., is something that would only be manually changed by a customer after the original determination.

Hope that helps!

I would love to know the answer to this. This is my first box (which I’ll probably skip, since I got the free 8-piece welcome gift that was offered a month or so ago, plus I bought the Friday the 13th steal) and I’m currently set up as “Classic with a Twist,” but I have a feeling I’ll be swapping a lot of those shades out.
