This is the information card that was included in the package, detailing the contents.
On the back of the information card was this recipe for BBQ Sauce Lovers BBQ Chicken Pizza. It looks so delicious!
Texas Tasty Classic BBQ Sauce - Value $6.49
This is a zesty BBQ sauce that can be used s a dip, marinade, a glaze, or a spread.
I took some inspiration from the recipe that was included this month and made my own barbecue chicken pizzas. I used whole wheat pitas, yellow onions, and mozzarella instead of dough, vidalia onions, and the cheeses they suggested, though. They were delicious! Even my kids, the most picky eaters in the history of humankind, loved it! I thought the sauce was pretty sweet, but I've been trying to kick the sugar habit lately so everything tastes sweet to me.
Bubba's Bar-B-Q Pork Rub - Value $5.95
We haven't tried this rub yet, but it sounds great! The taste is described as vibrant with just a dash of sweet.
Talk Texan Bar-B-Q Spicy Honey Rub - Value $9.50
Grill Masters Club sent us three rubs this month, so we haven't had time to try this one either. My husband is not a fan of spicy foods, so we will probably give this one to my Dad, the true Grill Master. I don't know if he really is or not, but I know if he read that he would shed tears of pride.
Sweet Rub O' Mine All Natural All Purpose Rub - Value $12.44
Obviously this was the rub we had to try! Look at that Slash Pig! Also this rub is MSG-free, so that made it a clear winner for us.
My husband dislikes spicy foods, but I love them, which is why this pulled pork sandwich is topped with pickled jalapenos. Yum! I used the rub on this pork before searing it and then a little more during the pulling. I really liked this rub! It was sweet but not too sweet, and it had just the right amount of tang. My kids do like pulled pork and they completely devoured this!
Dip S**t for Vegetables - Value $2.50
Although I found the name of this ranch seasoning really unappealing, it was easy to make and had a very rich flavor.
Sadly, the completed dip does not photograph well! I'm sorry it looks kind of sickly. In any case, I thought it tasted good for a dip, and my husband agreed.
Verdict: This was a good box from Grill Masters Club! We ate some delicious food and had some fun along the way! The value of the contents totals about $38, which is $8 less than the cost of the box shipped. From what I understand, that's pretty much in line with what one should expect from a food discovery type box. I think if you make a lot of barbecue this would be a really fun subscription to have!
