GlossyBox is a beauty subscription service box that allows customers to sample products monthly. Sampling lets the subscriber fall in love with new products and become life-long brand advocates. Each box is filled with five makeup, hair and skin care products from top brands.

I feel like Glossybox is going downhill. The Allure Beauty Box costs LESS and has been pretty amazing lately – Glossybox really needs to step up their game in terms of product curation and value!!

If they are going to replace a product, they should have replaced it with a similar product – AT VERY LEAST, ONE OF THE SAME VALUE!!!!!! I FELT CHEATED!!!!!!!!!!!! That’s when I cancelled!!!!

I am also not happy with the variations that they send. I was excited to try the perfume, but I received some weird hair CC item. I find that I usually give the majority of the box away. I have the gilt yearly subscription, and I am unsure if I will be renewing it next year.

Looks like an interesting product. However, I’m starting to get really tired of the variations. I don’t mind variations in color, scent or something like that, but it bothers me when there’s giant variations in value.

This month will be my last month. Then it’s done unless I see a super great spoiler.
I think I’m leaning towards a combo of 2-3 boxes plus limited editions and swapping for the rest.

Looks good! I was super-disappointed in Glossybox last month. Can you believe they sent me the $3 sea salt spray from Not Your Mother’s Haircare???? Good enough from Allure, I guess, but not from Glossybox.

I’m still sad about this 🙁 I wanted the perfume mini soooo badly. The spray felt like a rip off (and doesn’t match my profile at all – I don’t use hair products).

I also got the spray. I got the same spray a few months ago from either ipsy or Target. I expect more from Glossybox.

I got the sea salt spray, too. I didn’t know there was a variation until now … and now I’m mad about it, too!

I was unhappy about it at first but then it turned out to be AMAZING for my hair! I’ve been using it every day since. And since it’s cheap, i have no qualms about buying more when i run out! Honestly, this is a brand and product I would have never seeked out to try if it weren’t for Glossybox. I’ve learned that the retail value doesn’t matter much; it’s about whether or not i discover a product that i love. I’ve gotten plenty of high retail value products that ended up super disappointing, so retail value really doesn’t mean a thing in the end.

I was surprised to see that variation in the box. It’s a product line I would expect in Target boxes or maybe even the Allure Beauty Thrills, but it doesn’t belong in a Glossybox. I got the perfume but I don’t wear perfume and have mine listed if anyone wants to swap.

I ended up cancelling after two months… Last month just looked so sad compared to my other (cheaper) boxes. The beach spray thing just made my hair look dirty.

I got it too, and it was open so it spilled over everything! Thankfully they said they’d replace it.
