I just checked and I’m able to view June’s box. This will be my first month with birchbox. Look’s like I got the sample selection, a lip balm, a sunscreen 🙁 , a protect and detangle hair product, a coastal scents eyeshadow sample and a Dr Brandt pore product. Kinda iffy on if I’m satisfied, will have to wait and see I guess.

My mistake.. I assumed it was June’s box when it’s actually May’s, So confused with birchbox atm. I didn’t think I was even getting a May box. And here it is June 1st and May has just shipped. So strange. Unless June has something grand in it I don’t see myself staying with birchbox. I purchased the get glowing kit and received it yesterday and was extremely disappointed. TINY. Everything in it was TINY. Not worth the $24 price tag at all IMO. If it wasn’t for the free mystery birchbox I received I would have been a total bust.

Crap I just realized that I haven’t reviewed any of my box items since January! Oops! I missed out on points, luckily this month’s box had 7 items. I guess I thought I had been doing it and haven’t lol.

So, maybe I did something wrong. But I purchased $50 bucks of products this morning to take advantage of the early sample choice and the code did not work. I followed BB’s own link-it let me pick a add on(maybe that’s the issue). Anyone have BB’S customer service number or any advice? I have been with BB for over 4 years, so its not as if I am a newbie–but there site has been acting up.

The sample choice for non ace members is up on the website now but the app 😉

Getting the curated box for the first time!

With birchbox is their a limit to subscription per person or household so I can get 2 boxes a month one curated and one surprise box? Or do I have to use another email or account? Can the points be combined to use in the shop?

Reply ButtonReply

Mary

You may have one women’s and one men’s box associated with each email address. If you want two women’s boxes, you would have to create another account with a separate email address. Birchbox used to let you combine points between accounts, but they stopped doing that around 2-3 years ago. I wish they would let us do it again!

Dianne

Thanks that helps a lot. Their points are great.

Hi, off topic Birchbox question that I’ve been meaning to ask.

Curious at to what you all are doing with your actual boxes? I use them to organize my extra makeup and other small items. The boxes are lined up on shelves in a closet, but for visibility & ease of access, the tops are left off. Other boxes are inside my bathroom vanity drawers, sort of like dividers, to keep things neat. But unfortunately the box tops, which are the cute part, aren’t visible in either spot.

Just thought I’d ask…

There are tons of ideas and inspiration on pinterest. Just gotta search like ‘birchbox upcycle’ or something. I mean people have made them in to tissue boxes and wall art, so there are plenty of clever options.

Jayne

I’ll need to check out some ideas. My empty boxes are currently inside my empty Pop Sugar boxes. I found out I could store about 6 of them in one PSMH …How bad is that?

BriM

I use mine to store art postcards and stationery things. I got the Rifle paper one specifically for that 🙂

Anna

I use mine like that too DD; I have eyeliners, mascaras, lipsticks etc. in each box but didn’t know what to do with the tops. However BriM’s comment is a great idea how to use them with the tops 🙂

Rena

I just have a pile of them in my living room. Each is full of random stuff like batteries and usb drives. I’d love to do something amazing and clever, but never get around to it.

Does anyone know if the davines sample in the curated box is a foil pack sample or is it in a little bottle. I thought it was what was in the pic but then I saw it said under the description packette so I got confused!

Reply ButtonReply

Chelsea

It looks like there are two Davines samples, one Packette and one bottle.

Alexandra

If I were to sign up now, would I be able to select the curated box, or would I have to get the sample choice box this month?

Reply ButtonReply

Nicole

Selection for the sample choice or curated box begins tomorrow for June ?

Is anyone having a problem choosing their sample choice?? I have 2 accounts I’m an ace on both I made a purchase on the weekend & today I got the sample choice email to that account but haven’t gotten the email on my other account. Is anyone having this issue? Is today not sample choice for aces & subscribers who made a purchase? Ugh so frustrated

BriM

Hi, Thank you for this!
Quick question: This will be my 3rd Birchbox – (my first was the Rifle Paper keepsake in April. Then for last month’s box I took one of the pre-selected samples.) I really like the look of the curated box but wanted to know if the samples would be customised based on your skin-tone/profile? I can’t do much with those peaches and pinks LOL!

Kori

The shade of the LOC shadow stick will vary. It will either be Heavy Petal (pink color pictured) or Haute Cocoa (a chocolate-y bronze shade). It’s the luck of the draw though, you don’t get to pick.

Reply ButtonReply

BriM

thank you! I went with the curated box – because of Birchbox I started buying Davines products for my hair so I want to try other things from them. I’d use everything in this box — it’s less make-up focused and I like that. I can always give the LOC stick away if anything.

Thank you again!

Amanda

Unfortunately no the curated cannot be customized.

Jayne

Slightly off topic, but is anyone else having problems negotiating the BB site? I can’t get into my current box to do reviews. I’ve used 2 browsers, cleared history, blah blah, but no luck.

Reply ButtonReply

BriM

It’s been a little wonky for me too. The past orders only shows one and it says the box is processing even though it was delivered weeks ago. It seems like a lag in updating. On the samples review page on my phone it always takes me to the wrong sample at first then it switches to the one i clicked.

Jayne

Thanks….maybe it isn’t operator error! I found out if I hit the link I wanted while holding CTRL it opened a new tab with the page I want. I don’t have a pop-up blocker but that’s sometimes how you bypass one if you do…so who knows?

I was finally able to do my reviews for points and that’s what I was really after!

Melissa

Will the curated box be available for sale like past months? I would pay the $10 for it. I really like the design of the sample choice box!

Reply ButtonReply

Lori

I heard it is not going to be. And that it is going to be like it was for May where you can only get it with a $50+ qualifying purchase.

Reply ButtonReply

Lynn

I have red hair, so this was a no-brainer for me. I got the curated box! It looks like a good mix. I’ll use everything. 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Rena

Still can’t chose even though I am an ace. I messaged them and was told to wait a few hours because it goes in waves.

Reply ButtonReply

Kori

I got the curated box on one account, and the deep gimme brow on the other. I have dark brown almost black hair so I’m thinking deep was the way to go…I hope! Super excited about the Davines products and Air Repair too.

Reply ButtonReply

Trish M.

I’m really not interested in a brow product. If I don’t make a sample choice, will they send something completely different?

Reply ButtonReply

Jen J

Unfortunately, not choosing does not mean you will not receive one of the sample choices, or one from the curated box. I’m nearing the end of my 12 month sub, and any time I have not chosen I have gotten one of the sample choices anyway.

Reply ButtonReply

Rena

I keep thinking you will get a universal eyebrow product. Those actually tend to work well with my coloring.

Reply ButtonReply

Kayla

I chatted with Cati at birchbox about this and she said if you do not pick a gimme brow sample you will get 5 different products. I’m trying it. We will see.

Reply ButtonReply

Trish M.

Okay thanks, Kayla! I was underwhelmed by last month’s box and was starting to get worried about June’s. Now I’m looking forward to the surprise 🙂

heat7918

I use medium-deep in the regular Gimme Brow and I love it! I’m worried that the medium will be too light and the deep too dark. Decision, decisions.

Reply ButtonReply

Fallon

I was having that issue between light and medium, and I found this helpful interactive chart on Benefit’s website where you can choose your haircolor and it’ll suggest a shade!

Thank you Fallon! Medium it is.

Kim

I grabbed a curated box. I already have gimme brow. I really wish they had offered one of the new benefit brow products to sample. Gimme brow has been around forever. I’m happy to see an additional shade though.

Reply ButtonReply

Marissa

Grabbed Deep, I have super dark hair but my eyebrows are not as dark (I don’t dye them or my hair) but I want to see them darker! This should be fun lol. Disney villain makeup here I come!

Reply ButtonReply

Ragan

I got deep, too. I do dye my hair black, and my eyebrows are fairly dark, so if I am going to play with brow products, I figure I should use dark colors. If the curated box pops up in the shop later, though, I will probably get it too.
