So, is everyone at least getting the eye brow stuff in their box or just those who were able to choose their samples?

I was thinking it’s the Roller Lash Super Curling Lifting Mascara

The Benefit item is the only reason I’m keeping birchbox for one more month, but I wish they would reveal the sample choices and curated box already!! It seems so late in the month to not know.

Is everyone at least getting the eye brow or just the ones that chose their samples. I tried the cheat code someone posted in a group on fb and am getting a unisex (basically men’s) Cologne and hair care products. I hope that’s wrong.

I just read on Instagram that one of the samples for June will be our choice of shade for the new benefit brow gel.

Wish bb included a few of the other nine new brow products. But, I’m obsessed with brows. Lol

My May box looked nothing like the box they presented. I saw the items and I was like WTH? I emailed them but I’m sure it will be the same crap they always say. I don’t understand how you can show the box then send the customer something totally different. The only makeup item in my box was eyeliner y the same company they sent a few months back. I know it’s 10.00 but if I wanted a skincare box I would subscribe to one. I wish you could opt out of all skin/ hair products. Guess I have to try Wantable

I think you misunderstand the way Birchbox works. The only way you can get the exact box they show is if you choose the curated box. Otherwise you choose one sample, and the rest will vary from person to person. They also feature a mixture of skin care, hair care, body care and makeup products (and sometimes perfume samples). If you only want makeup they are not the best choice for you. You may get more than one product from a given company over time, but you should not get the exact same product twice.

I did choose the curated I was even assisted by someone from customer service. Which was why I was upset when I saw what they were sending me. The prior month I picked a sample so I don’t think I am confused about how Birchbox works. But thank you for the info

Mariah

So I follow Benefit on Instagram, and it looks like they just posted a picture of their new brow products that are going to be available June 24th. Just a heads up! Maybe one of those items is what we might be getting!

I just finished the IT Cosmetics brow pencil I had been using and was going to buy something new (probably ABH brow wiz) but I have a small ABH pencil sample from a BB a couple months ago I can get by with for now and I’ll wait and see what I get in my June box 🙂

Rebecca

I left a reply to the oldest comment about ABH Brow Wiz. I love it!

What the heck, Birchbox is now not allowing you to review (and get points for) products you’ve reviewed before. Good to know for the future in case you select a curated box with the expectation that you’d get points for all the products in it.

Reply ButtonReply

Jay

Did you try emailing them? In the past when I was in this situation I would email customer service and they would add the points to my account (including as recently as March) without any problems.

nana

that’s great!

I think this is going to be my last month… I’ve been debating leaving for a few months now and I keep hanging on, hoping they’ll redeem themselves. not excited about this spoiler but I’ll wait to see everything they’re offering before I decide.

the points system far makes up for any bad samples .. but tbh i’ve tried many sub beauty boxes and this is my fave by far!

Marion

I’m underwhelmed by the spoiler. I don’t really need or want brow products, so hopefully there’s a good alternative!

Reply ButtonReply

Debbie

I agree. I have no need for brow products, and Birchbox has been disappointing the last few months. This is not a sneak peek that convinces me at all not to cancel. Quite the opposite.

Maria

I played it safe and got the curated this month. The Hoola bronzer was nice(my dd stole it, meh) and the perfume was a good scent but the coarse hair products from Davines won’t do for my super fine hair. The only thing that has been overkill for me on all subscriptions is the MASKS, don’t use them. I think when they get my age they think I use masks all the time. Benefit is hands down my favorite brand. I’m stoked for June!

Nikita

I also got the curated box! I haven’t really tried anything but the perfume just yet, but I like that they count the conditioner as a separate item so we can get more points. I’ve actually never had a conditioner come in such a foil packet before so it will be interesting to use it. I personally didn’t like the perfume that I tried, I feel like it’s an older scent, something I’m not ready for.

I don’t think it’s an age thing per se, masks are just really ‘hot’ right now.

Maria

That’s good to know about the Davines. I have the leave in spray(OI Milk) that is my favorite, so much that I used my points to get it.

SarahFrances

I have super fine hair also, and I love, love, love that Davines Love shampoo. It tames my frizz like you wouldn’t believe without weighing my hair down. The conditioner is pretty awful imo, but you might be pleasantly surprised by the shampoo.

I was at the Benefit counter at Macy’s, yesterday getting my free Birthday brow wax and the lady was telling me about new brow products launching; she didn’t give specifics, but I was intrigued. And now the arrival of their new product will be in our June box. I love Benefit products!

Maria

Hold up. What’s this about a free birthday brow wax.. Details please.

I don’t like Pixi because it’s made in China, but beyond that: the girl in the picture does not have an eyebrow problem. If they can teach how to make almost non-existent eyebrows into something that does not look completely fake, maybe I’d pay attention.

Reply ButtonReply

LoRi

I don’t quite understand this eyebrow thing going on. I will admit that groomed looks nice, but huge fuzzy eyebrows just make people look like cavemen.. (combed or not..)

Reply ButtonReply

Caligirl

I agree I try to stay away from made in China makeup products.

Reply ButtonReply

Candace

Resubscribed because I like Benefit and brow tools, but that means I’ll be getting the May box.

Reply ButtonReply

Dusti

I really hope I don’t get the PIxi. Enough already sub boxes sheesh. 😛 LOL

Reply ButtonReply

LoRi

Seems like there’s a big push for the Pixi/Petra brand. I’ve been seeing it all over. I’m not too upset by it though. It’s nice to try out what seems to be a good and affordable brand.

(btw, more than just the eyebrows changed in that picture)

“If you leave us now, you won’t get your June box” is very telling. I was so unhappy by the May box I actually wrote to customer service. Maybe they are trying to get ahead of it?

Reply ButtonReply

TrishMvhl

I was *very* unhappy with the May box which arrived today. Tiny items, and a dry shampoo they already sent about two months ago. I wonder if the competition from other beauty boxes is making it hard for Birchbox to maintain the high quality of their past offerings. I’m on the verge of calling it quits.

Reply ButtonReply

x

it was probably an accident if you got an item twice, just email them. their customer service is fab. and i find that all of my birchboxes are very high quality, much better than the likes of ipsy or something. birchbox is the best.

Amanda

that’s a shame, I was thrilled w/my box this time. I am newer to Birchbox, so I’m a little more easily impressed. But I got a coconut scrub that seemed almost full size. I have seen small samples, but this month was great. I was SUPER unhappy w/the green tea sunscreen that barely had a drop in the almost empty tube though. I justify the points system, as I have quickly utilized that not just in regular box reviews, but in several things I have purchased.

Heather

Bethany, did you hear back from customer service? I have never been more disappointed in a box than I am in my upcoming May box! Oh well. ?

Reply ButtonReply

Bethany

Customer service response was that they were sorry I was disappointed, and I must need help with my beauty profile to customize my future boxes. I did not find this response helpful, because I’m pretty sure everyone got the same thing. I got self tanner, sunscreen, dry shampoo, bronzer blush, and my sample “choice” which I picked as the lesser of 3 evils.

Ragan

I need to start doing something with my brows. I don’t like big, full, thick brows (I feel like one of those fuzzy caterpillars is crawling across my forehead), but mine are kind of sparse and I figure I could shoot for a happy medium. So I am game. Plus it is not self-tanner, dry shampoo, or sea salt spray. Of course it is strange to think about this when my May box has not even arrived yet (but it should tomorrow).

Reply ButtonReply

Rebecca

I am not a fan of the bushy or painted-on eyebrow look, but I am pleased to see thicker brows being more in vogue as compared to the 90s, when thin brows were in.

If you’re looking for a more subtle eyebrow product to thicken what you have without giving you a caterpillar look, try this: https://www.birchbox.com/shop/anastasia-brow-wiz It is amazing what a difference better-defined brows makes, as it frames my face better and makes me look and feel more polished.

Me too – and it’s something I haven’t been seeing a lot of in my boxes so I’m actually excited about the spoiler. I can always get eye shadows, liners, etc. and no matter the color I can usually make them work, but brow products are so hit and miss, they’re one thing I’d really like to be able to sample first. Especially since full size brow stuff tends to be some of the more expensive makeup items.
