I signed up for an annual sub, after that last billing glitch ( I NEEDED that bag ^^, it’s tiny but sturdy. Just big enough that I’m not toting my life around, only the essentials phone, ID, Keys and Glasses. It’s a perfect match for my summer blues and linen. )

Just made an account with Gilt and the coupon code won’t work ): it says accepted, but doesn’t actually take anything off the total. Super disappointing

Same happened to me. Applied the discount code, it was accepted but nothing discounted. I contacted customer service via chat through there website. At first the rep was going to give me a gilt city credit. I explained that I Did apply the code at checkout. Rep agreed to credit my cc account $30.

I hope I love the box!

Same thing happened to me. I just called CS; they said if the discount doesn’t apply within 24 hrs, to call back and they’ll refund the difference since they can see the code was accepted on their end.

i have so little self control. Even though I just ordered the Luxe Provence box I couldn’t pass up this deal. I haven’t tried this box before and wanted to see what it is like. More often than not its the great deal that makes me start a box I might not have otherwise tried. Slowly but surely I’m working my way thru the most popular sub boxes and into working a lot of overtime!! Oh well who can resist those goodies waiting for us after a long hard day.

Considered splurging and getting this box with $30 off and $50 credit. Love the ring and necklace and went on line to see what the $50 credit would get me——nothing——absolutely nothing.

Same here. The cheapest items I can find are a $76 piece of costume jewelry (on sale no less) or a $94 t-shirt. I know it’s luxury stuff but really? There’s little that strikes me as luxe about t-shirts. Skipping this one.

It would be nice if existing subscribers, especially those who’ve been subbed since the first box, got a discount or at least a comparable perk. I don’t consider the makeup bag I received a few months ago to be of equivalent value. Knowing you are paying $30 more than new subscribers but getting even less than them is pretty off-putting to say the least. Pretty much all subs do this, preferring to focus on new subscribers rather than keeping existing ones. As a business model that makes little sense but this is generally not an industry that factors loyalty into the equation.

So glad I quit. Not even remotely tempted. The last straw was the ‘bag’ in the last box. Not moi at all. Tried to give it to the fashion savvy 17 year old next door-soon off to college-who said no thanks. I asked her why. She said because whoever made the bag ‘forgot’ to finish it. Then she asked me why the logo patch was on the inside. I didn’t have an answer.
The bag was donated to the local thrift along with the jewelry.

It took me a while to figure out what bothered me about the bag but, it finally came to me where I had seen that look before. Does anybody remember the bag of marbles you would get as a kid? When you cinch the bag to close it…It reminds me so much of that, I had to laugh! 😀
I wish she would have chosen something more finished!

For what it’s worth, I found a use for that tiny little bag. I use it when I go walking – no serious cardio, just long walks through the park mostly. It’s plenty big enough to hold my keys, cell phone, etc…just the essentials that I need when getting some mild exercise and it doesn’t look like I’m carrying a big, formal handbag. I find this more comfortable than the pouch thing I wear around my waist when I’m running or hiking.

Otherwise I don’t think I would ever use it. It seems to waaaay too small to hold the massive pile of stuff I carry around with me when going to work or running errands.

I really liked the little bag, I swapped for it. But I wish it had been larger so it would fit a tablet. Style-wise, I think it’s better for a young person but my girls are vegetarians and wouldn’t go near leather.

This box doesn’t tempt me at all. I’m too well endowed for the necklace and don’t use hair products.

I agree. Previous box was my first and last box. Interesting (and a little hilarious when you come down to it) how your 17 yr old neighbor rejected the bag. Also, several emails went back and forth before I felt they actually canceled my account. Not good. I bluntly told them why and I received the stock answer that everyone else got. All around bad taste.
