This is the first box from Benevolent Beauty Box! Inside was a folded info card with a little note about the box this month.

On the inside of the card was some details about each item and their retail values.

Bodisafe Beauty  Nourishing Lip & Cheek Highlighter – .5 fl oz, value: $20

This is a nice product – it’s a pink cream that adds some color and glow to your cheeks and lips. Better pics below.

Bodisafe Beauty Night Cream – sample (.3 oz?), value: $4.40?

This is a sample, and it’s not listed on the info card, so I’m assuming it’s a little bonus sample – fine with me! I like how this feels – it’s very moisturizing and feels comfortable on the skin.

Here’s a look at what they look like.

The cheek and lip tint has a very subtle color and was very hydrating – gives a good glow because of it! I wasn’t sure I would like it for getting actual color but when I actually applied it to my cheeks I really liked it.

Red Apple Lipstick in Naughty – value: $23.50

I love this lipstick! It’s vegan, gluten-free, and free of any nasty chemicals you wouldn’t want to ingest. This is a beautiful nude color. It has some shimmer but just enough to look like a healthy complexion.

Mannakadar Fantasy 3-in-1 Blush/Highlighter/Eyeshadow – value: $19

This is a really pretty warm, “nude blush pink” shade and works as an eyeshadow, blush, or highlighter! The formula is velvet-y and smooth.

Dermadeli Invigorating Vitamin C Serum – 1 oz, value: $28.99

I love this – vitamin C is so good for your skin. Like the bottle says, it helps improve elasticity and helps repair from UV damage. The bottle says to keep refrigerated and I love how refreshing it feels first thing in the morning.

Here’s a swatch of the 3-in-1 eyeshadow/blush/highlighter.

And here is me wearing the lipstick, cheek and lip gel (on my cheeks), and eyeshadow. I really like all of the products.

The Verdict: I seem to be missing a product… my info sheet lists an eyeshadow from Colorevolution and I don’t have anything from their brand. I contacted customer service about this and they are sending a replacement, but I loved everything so that hasn’t ruined the box for me. I am really happy with the ingredients and performance of all the products that were in my box! I’m looking forward to future boxes. The value adds up to ~$95.89 for the things in my box, and with the eyeshadow I’m missing it would add up to ~$107.89! With or without that missing eyeshadow, it’s a fantastic value!

  1. Really beautiful and natural makeup. I love the way it looks on you. Might have to try this one!

  2. Does anyone know what products were in the mini?

    • I would like to know too. I tried looking for reviews but there’s not much listed yet.

    • I believe the mini will start with the May box.

    • Yes, the mini box is starting w/ the 2nd box, which is currently in the mail. While I have not seen any spoilers for either box, I do know that they have stated that the mini box will be a smaller version of the full/large box, aka it will be the same items…just fewer of them. I am guessing that box’s contents will soon start popping up on their Instagram, in reviews/videos, etc. so definitely be on the lookout if you’re interested as the box should still be available to purchase. I’m a cruelty-free-only buyer who signed up pre-launch & after being impressed w/ the 1st box I jumped on a Mother’s Day promo they ran for 50% off a six month sub; I had some issues w/ my order, & must say that their customer service was/is STELLAR in every way. They also seem to be very responsive w/ Instagram comments/ questions, so definitely don’t hesitate to reach out to them if you have any questions or concerns. Unlike some larger boxes they even allowed/ assisted current subscribers to be able take advantage of a promotion w/out having to receive a duplicate box (for a month that had already been billed), which I found really impressive. They seem to be really on top of things, esp for a box that is just starting – amongst other things, their product info card is one of the best I’ve seen! – and thus far I recommend the box wholeheartedly! The only “negative”, while quite minor (for me), is that I have not seen the box shipment schedule well explained anywhere. For instance I’m a bit unclear whether my 2nd box that is due to arrive Tues is considered the May or June box; I think it’s May but, if so, am not sure if the boxes will always come so late in the month/ into the next month which, while largely a non-issue for me (provided I’m receiving a box monthly!), I know can be an issue for some.

  3. this is the prettiest makeup look i have seen on you – very subtle, but beautiful, especially since you have such amazing fair skin. love the cruelty free boxes!!

    • I was going to say the same thing then saw you did! 🙂 Very pretty yet natural.

  4. Their customer service is amazing & so kind! After watching some unboxing videos of the April box, I decided to subscribe (they only offerred monthly subs at the time), plus I purchased the April box at a discount since subscribers get automatic discounts on their site.
Well, as usual what happens to me is just a few days after signing up, the flash sale happened. I couldn’t resist their 6-month option at less than $14/box, so I signed up knowing I’d get two June boxes (but I was okay with that). Well, they reached out to me and noticed I was signed up for two subs & wanted to make sure that’s what I wanted or if I’d like to extend my 6-month sub out one month to begin in July (of course I chose the latter). I thought this was amazing CS(!), and they were so sweet (I actually think it was the owner I was corresponding with too!).
Like I said, sales tend to occur right after I sign up or renew, so if I’m able to have two subs on one account I’ll just sign up for the offer, receive 2 boxes for one month, then cancel my original subscription (which Benevolent Beauty offerred to do too!), and no other sub has ever reached out to me offerring to adjust my account (which I don’t expect them to do), so with the steps Benevolent Beauty took to make sure I was getting what I wanted, I was super impressed.

    • That’s awesome! To Go Spa actually did this same thing for me at the end of last year. 🙂

    • I too had a similarly great experience, & was/am super impressed at their willingness to let those already subscribed jump on the promo w/out having to receive a duplicate box. I truly think this is the way to show loyal customers they are appreciated (as opposed to making people feel like they have to play games unsubbing/re subbing to receive discounts, etc) & wish more subs would take note!! I even saw them tell someone who signed up pre-launch, as I did, which brought w/ it either a 10 or 15% discount for life, that we would be able to have that reapplied after our 6- month sub (w/ the 50% promo) was over, which I would not have even bothered asking about (given the fab 50% off deal). BEYOND impressive customer service, & makes me want to support them even more!!

  5. I signed up for this box during the half off mother’s day sale. I’m excited to see a review so and know I’m getting lots of bang for my buck!
