Plus use coupon code HAIRCAREBOX to save an extra $1! I decided to buy the Lumi Foundation with my credit. $3.20 for full-sized foundation is awesome!

Now on to the actual items!

amazon-beauty-box-9-shampoo

Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Shampoo - .3 oz Value $.75

Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Conditioner - .3 oz Value $.75

I really like the Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Cream, and their shampoo and conditioner get great reviews, too. I have to avoid sulfates in my haircare products because I color treat my hair, so this sample pack will go to the donate pile.

amazon-beauty-box-9-whole-blends

Garnier Whole Blends Repairing Conditioner - 1.7 oz Value $.50

Garnier Whole Blends Repairing Shampoo - 1.7 oz Value $.50

These smell good! Unfortunately I have the same issue with sulfates, so more to donate!

amazon-beauty-box-9-mascara

L'Oreal Paris Brow Stylist Sculptor in Brunette - FULL SIZE! Value $7 (Currently on sale at Amazon)

L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Original Mascara - FULL SIZE! Value $6 (Currently on sale at Amazon)

This mascara is a great drugstore formula -  volume, length, no clumps, and easy to layer!

amazon-beauty-box-9-eye-brow

I liked both of these products, but my favorite is the brow pencil. It is so easy to use, and the wax pencil is perfect for setting your brows. Here is the brunette shade swatched:

amazon-beauty-box-9-swatch

amazon-beauty-box-9-mineral

Mineral Fusion Lengthening Mascara in Graphite - FULL SIZE! Value $13

I had high hopes for this mascara since it is a natural formula. (I really REALLY wanted it to work well!) Unfortunately for me, the formula doesn't provide the lash definition I look for in a mascara. I'd give this mascara a B/B-.

amazon-beauty-box-9-lumi

L'Oreal Paris True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation in Nude Beige - 0.06 ounce Value $2

I'm really glad I sampled this - I didn't think I would be so impressed with a drugstore foundation!

Here is what the sample looks like out of the packaging:

amazon-beauty-box9-sponge

To apply this foundation, you press the white pad into the foundation-filled sponge and then pat it on your face. I found the coverage to be sheer to medium. (Usually I prefer full coverage, but this worked well for me.) I think this is great for a no-makeup look - it looked so natural on my skin!

The "lumi" part definitely showed in the dewy overall look. On me, that started to look a little oily after a few hours of wear, so I did have to reapply some finishing powder throughout the day.

I decided to buy the full-size version with my Amazon credit from this box. I'm used to spending a lot more on foundation, so this is a nice change!

amazon-beauty-box-9-black

Black 15in1 Hair Treatment - 1 oz Value $2.50

This is one of those "does everything" hair oils that adds shine, protects from heat damage, defrizzes, etc. This sample size is great, and the oil is light enough not to give hair that greasy look. (I haven't decided yet if I like the scent, though!)

Verdict: This box has a value of about $33. That's awesome for a $10 beauty box considering we have several full-size items! It's even better since you get the entire cost of the box back in credit to buy another item! My favorite discoveries in this box are the foundation and the eye brow pencil - they work great and also are easy to use. No extra tools needed!

Well the Amazon Luxury Beauty box was short lived…. Now you have to be Prime to be able to get one……

I ordered 3 boxes – the beauty box, suds box and the other woman’s box (I cant remember what it was called). I have enjoyed all 3 of them! I was able to use all 3 of the credits plus the coupons they give you and I only paid about $5.00 for everything. Super great deal. I hope they do different boxes in the future!

Would love to try the Suds box but it is sold out. I wonder if they re-stock them.

I ordered it just now and it explains how to redeem the 9.99 credit. 7 days after the Beauty Box ships the credit becomes valid. Plus Amazon explains it in the shipped email with tracking.

Can you pick the foundation color, or is it all nude beige?

nelliebelle1197

Just tried to pick a color and it appears to be only valid on nude beige.

I went to their customer service about it not being valid on other shades besides W3 and they refunded me the $9.99 for the box.

I was kinda bummed the $4.99 snack bar box didn’t give you the $4.99 to use as you want with the products credit, but rather you could only use it as a $1 coupon off entire boxes that start around $20. So the only way to get the full amount back in credit was to purchase over $100 in bars. Kinda misleading.

If you go to the page Liz listed in her review, where it says what sample boxes you’ve purchased and what promotional credit you have left (click the link above the photo which says Your Sample Boxes), you’ll see that the $4.99 was supposed to post 7 days after shipping. If yours is like mine, it did not. I called Amazon customer service (it should not be as hard as they make it to find a freaking phone number) and they credited $4.99 promotional credit to my account. You should give it a try. Hope that helps.

So that is why I could not get it to work!

How do we figure out what products are eligible for the credit?

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

I used the link that Amazon sent in my email stating that my credit was ready to use. The link took me to a page of “sample box credit” eligible items.

Jen

I ended up not getting the beauty box, but I did end up getting the suds box, the bar box, and the protein powder box. All three have turned out to be an amazing deal, and I’ll absolutely use the credit on products I already get, so it basically makes all of those samples free.

I have an Amazon credit card as well & get 5% back on purchases each month, so this is perfect! Just ordered.

We have one, too, and we love it. We use it for everything and pay it off each month. That extra play money to use on Amazon is nice to have. I used it last year to buy Christmas presents!
