I want some of the products in the Glow / Illuminatinating box, but really, who needs another mascara and what does that have to do with glowing?
Also, I’m completely inept at opening Cargo sample packaging. Love their products / formulas, just can’t get into their dang tins! lol

I really would like that illuminating kit! Anyone know the code for the free mystery birchbox offer for an extra box ???!?! Thanks!

The code is *MYSTERYBOX* with a $50.00 order on full-size product(s) in the Birchbox Shop.

I jumped on the illuminating kit – it was calling my name. I have the Laura Geller in the charming pink and love it, and wanted to try the honey one but didn’t want to pay full price or necessarily have a 2nd full size one. Addicted to Stila Huge…it’s my Holy Grail item so that was an easy “go”, and the other items look fun. Plus, I got a free mystery birchbox offer for an extra box AND the mystery items over $35 and redeemed points, so how could I say no?!?! Curious to see what comes in the “extra box” – did anyone else get that email offer?

I didn’t think you could do the mystery sample pack AND mystery box. 🙁

Teri
I was able to do both and the mystery sample pack value ($10) counted towards the $50 minimum!

It let me do both when I placed my order last night – if you placed your order, you might be able to contact them still if it hasn’t shipped?

Never mind. I found the code for the box. 🙂

whats the code?

A mystery Birchbox? Lucky you; I didn’t receive an email advertising that and nothing came up in a search on their site. Bummer.

These are easy passes for me. My hair makes beachy waves on its own and I don’t use a blow dryer. And the “illuminating” products are darker than my skin tone so they can’t do much illuminating for me. Plus I have an entire shoebox full of mascaras. I mean like 10 years’ worth. Really.

all of the products are for not blow drying your hair, i love this kit but do i need it? no.

Yeah, but between blow drying and sea salt spray (I also mentioned beachy waves…), that is 2 of the 6 products, which means at least 1/3 of the kit is stuff I don’t want and wouldn’t use. Birchbox doesn’t really understand my hair needs, unfortunately.

I used my points and ordered the “Get Glowing” kit. I’ve been wanting to try some highlighters and illuminating products so I think this is a great way to test a few out without buying full size versions. I thought the price was a little high, but I had plenty of points so I decided to go for it!

I wish they’d offer loyal customers some occasional 15% off codes more often especially when every month they offer new incentives and bonuses to new members. Not just their warehouse sales of stuff I don’t want. I love the points system and customer service, but sometimes a random new account with a big order and a discount meant they got a ton of money from me that they aren’t getting now…and not because I don’t want to hand my money over to them, I want two larger boxes and 2-3 of the smaller kits currently. But with the smaller kits or travel sizes sometimes, I feel the discount codes were sort of fair for the sizes when comparing to Sephora travel/sample kits or random other sub boxes for a month.
For example, Sephora has a mascara kit right now for $28 for 5 deluxe mascaras and a coupon to redeem your choice of one of them in a full size in store. So $28 for 5 deluxes and one full (MILK, Ciate, Marc Jacobs, Too Faced, and Tarte).
BB needs to offer SOME codes once in awhile.

I agree. I’ve been buying a whole lot less from them since the discount codes stopped working. It seems they’re also bumping up the prices on sampler kits and LE boxes…

I noticed this too. I haven’t placed an order in 3 months. Sizes are getting smaller too. It was good while it lasted. Also, that cargo California throwback kit in the sunny side box looks like old stock to me?

I am brand new and haven’t gotten any incentives to keep ordering stuff from them. It makes me think that maybe I order too much stuff from them? Either way, it would be nice to get some emails with codes and stuff.

I would love to try the Beachy Keen Hair Kit, but my hair is super long, thick, and curly and without knowing the sample sizes, I would worry that there wouldn’t be enough product in one sample to cover all of my hair.

If you go to the product page you can zoom in on each bottle to see how big it is

Birchbox is known for showing larger than life samples in their monthly box so I would be skeptical zooming in on the size for this. It was always my biggest complaint with them. The Milk lipstick sample is a great example if any of y’all got that one

Nope, this is a pass for me. I am cancelling my monthly sub for June but am trying to spend my points before then, lol, and this still doesn’t look like a good deal for me.

The hair one looks interesting to me but Sephora just came out with a summer hair set that is only eight dollars more and has more items to try.
