peaches-petals-apr-info

This month's theme is "April Showers!" This is the information card that was provided, detailing the contents of the package.

peaches-petals-apr-giveaway

This card was also included. One lucky subscriber who posts their box to social media this month will win a Kitchenaid Stand Mixer! Wow, I would love to have one of those!

peaches-petals-apr-massager

Smart Essentials 5-in-1 Multifunction Beauty Care Massager - Value $7.99

I got really excited when I saw this because I was thinking recently that I would like to try a Clarisonic, but when I looked up the value I realized they must not be anything alike. I have sensitive skin, so now I'm a little afraid to try it! Has anyone tried it? What is the difference between this and a Clarisonic? I couldn't find a ton of information about this online, but I did see one YouTuber raving about how this is the answer for people on a budget. I'm going to reserve judgement for now...

peaches-petals-apr-puzzles

peaches-petals-apr-puzzles-2

Sunny Day Puzzles by Bonnie Marcus - Value $7.99

What a cute book! I wish I had time to do puzzles, but I really don't. My Dad has that (adorable) senior citizen fixation with puzzles, though, so even though it's pretty girly, I think I will pass this along to him.

peaches-petals-apr-necklace

Umbrella Necklace - Value $15

This is precious! It's perfect for April, too. It's also adjustable, and it looks great hitting right below the throat.

peaches-petals-apr-planter

Rain Cloud Wall Planter - Value $10

This planter is really cute, too! It's tiny! I would only use it with succulents, though. The cloud will obscure some light from getting to the plant, and the cloud can only hold a little water.

peaches-petals-apr-sponge-brush

Spongeables Shower Gel in a Sponge (Pink Grapefruit) - Value $9.62

I've had this type of sponge / gel combo before thanks to subscription boxes, and I like this one! It smells pretty good; citrus scents tend to perk me up in my morning shower. I also like that this one estimates use will last eight showers. I don't like the ones that are supposedly good for a month because I think germs/mold/etc. can grow in a damp sponge pretty easily in a month's time.

Swissco Detangling Shower Brush - Value $7.60

This brush is my "rainy day surprise" that was included as a bonus in this box. I needed a new wet brush, and this one got 4 stars on Amazon, so I'm sure it will do nicely!

peaches-petals-apr-coupon

As a bonus, this coupon for $35 off Hello Fresh was included this month. These coupons have been popping up everywhere in subscription boxes lately!

Verdict: This was my first package from Peaches and Petals, and overall, I really liked it! I'm a little concerned about the brush massager, and the puzzle book was very cute but not for me. Otherwise, I liked everything I received, and I think it all fit the theme very well. The value of the included items came to about $58, which is fantastic for a $20 box!

What do you think of Peaches and Petals? What was your rainy day surprise?

Ana

I don’t subscribe but I love all of the items in the box. Cute items.

I am SO not impressed. This was my first box, and it will be my last. I’m just glad I used the discount coupon, and only paid half price.

Super cute box, love everything inside! I don’t typically have access to deals at a Target or dollar store being in NYC – all the cute stuff goes fast (and priced more that outside of the city). I appreciate this for the value, fun factor, and it is always truly a surprise. It did seem better at $15 but otoh not sure how they made much $$ after shipping. I found the cloud planter on ali, if anyone wants another. it looks so cute with two!!!

I had considered subscribing to this box but after reading these reviews I’m glad I didn’t!

Does anyone else agree they’d be less disappointed w/ this box if they still offered it at $15? If feel that $5 increase really makes me want to cancel, even though it’s only $5. This would have be a good box at $15 but not $20, just my opinion.
Btw Clarisonic is much better, I’ve tried both!!!
Also, I wish we knew the spoiler item for next month!

Reply ButtonReply

Yes I totally agree!! I signed up last month with the half off discount and I felt like for even $10 it was a rip off. Just doesn’t make sense how it’s put together. I don’t really see the theme in this sub. I would have been very mad if I would of stayed and payed full price for April’s box.

Melissa

You don’t see the April Showers theme in this month’s box?

Michelle

my items were really poorly packaged, and their support team isn’t really responsive… My face brush was opened and looked like the different heads had been used – they were dirty and the pumice stone looked worn down on one side. And my flower pot was half in a super scratched plastic box, and when I took it out, it had scratches all over.

this was my first, and at this point i think my last, order from them. I really wanted to love it too. sigh.

has anyone else had trouble contacting the company or had interactions with the support team?

You might want to obscure your code on the Hello Fresh coupon, Anna!

I loved my 1st box (last month). However it took FOREVER to receive. Still have not received this month’s box.
I have received 2 birchboxes within this time so I am not happy with the turnaround time.
The preview of this month is not very appealing to me. 🙁

Katie

These literally ALL look like dollar bin items at Target, so glad I cancelled!!

Reply ButtonReply

Monica

you can buy all of this stuff cheaper at tj maxx… i swear they sell the EXACT same items.

Reply ButtonReply

mavily

You can buy all of the jewelry and many of the other items off Alibaba.com and Aliexpress.com for under $5 … many items are $1-2 … not kidding.

Reply ButtonReply

Sam

I’m not sure I am going to continue with this one…last month’s box didn’t arrive until last week…not sure about the items either for that price

Kimberli

I bought that facial brush and it went into the trash after about a week. The brush and sponge were too abrasive. The softer sponge would have been usable but the thing has almost no power.

Jenn

The Clarisonic works by vibrating the gunk out of your pores with sonic waves. The cheaper brushes work by quickly rubbing the bristles of the brush over your skin to scrub out the gunk. If you have sensitive skin, you may want to test it on a day you don’t plan to go out so you see what effect it has. Let us know how it goes!

Anna

Good thinking Jenn! I think I will!

I’ve had a clarisonic mia for years (since 2011!) and it still works great. I do recommend changing the brushes/keeping it clean and using the genuine brush heads. I bought some offbrand ones from groupon and they just didn’t work as well. I also have a foreo luna that I bought last fall and I love it – it’s a great option if you don’t want to have to remember to charge as often or buy brush heads.

Chantteé

I had a similar brush a while back. Worked nicely and helped a lot with breakouts. But the thing fell apart and was unusable after 2-3 months. So I bought a Clarisonic after and it’s still going strong after more than a year.

Nancy M.

Did they send a card with next months theme/spoiler?

Reply ButtonReply

darla

Mine came with one. It said May’s theme is “Let’s Get Together” and had a photo of people eating outside.

Reply ButtonReply

Melissa

Just got mine. It’s things for parties. Cute little thing for serving at a party. The rest were party napkins, chalkboard type banners and arrows all for parties. Paper straws, charades game.
My first box. … not to impressed

Anna

Nancy, I didn’t see one…

Anna, The puzzle book is a great item to hold onto and give to someone who is going into the hospital and or your visiting in hospital. Trust me, it can really be boring when your stuck in for days there and it’s nice to switch from watching TV. it’s hard to sleep especially if you had a surgery your recouping from for days….you don’t get much sleep and using your brain and doing things like this or reading can help you fall asleep there. Sometimes a 2day recoup can end up being 10 days and you never think to have brought something like a puzzle book.

Wet brushes are AWESOME! Lol.

Reply ButtonReply

sarah

as someone that recently had ankle surgery and was stuck at home, I definitely agree! I passed the time with intricate adult coloring books, my ipad, and clearing out my dvr! I would have loved a puzzle book like this for something different.

Reply ButtonReply

Anna

Thanks Christina, that’s a great idea!

I know people love Peaches & Petal, I signed up for the March box and canceled as soon as I got it. It’s all made in China stuff, cheap, no brand, packaging, etc. The portable charger came in a plain box with no info what so ever. The colored pencils were terrible, no color payoff. I was happy I only spent $10 on it and not $20. Plus as others have pointed out it seems like a lot of bought in bulk stuff or discontinued things.

Reply ButtonReply

Ann

Same here. As soon as I opened it and saw what was in it, I cancelled immediately. Not worth it, even at a lower price point. I’d rather pay more and receive better products.

Reply ButtonReply

jen

When you compare the price point of this box to the P.S. mini I think this box is a lot more fun! I also have and love that brush. Ita great for traveling!

Reply ButtonReply

Kristin

I use the Olay face brush and love it. Couldn’t bring myself to spend the money on clarisonic.

Reply ButtonReply

Adeline

That planter is so so cute

Reply ButtonReply

Brooke

I have a brush similar to that. It works great! I love it.

Reply ButtonReply

Randi

I have a Clarisonic and love it – I’ve never used one of the less expensive ones but I’d have to imagine it’d be like comparing a Sonicare toothbrush to one of the $10 ones that use batteries (which is what I use- I’m sure if I ever used a Sonicare I’d never go back). Probably doesn’t have quite the cleaning power, but still gets the job done.

Marion

This is the best box I’ve seen from them!

Weezie

That’s just sad.
