Bees and Beans - Honey Bar Junior - $2.50

For some reason, I was expecting crunch in this candy bar, and it's definitely not crunchy. It is honey and hazelnut flavored nougat, with a chocolate outer shell.  It's very good, but probably not my favorite item in the box!

B.T. McElrath - Salted Butter Caramel Milk Chocolate Bites - $0.64

This was really good!  I tend to prefer caramel with dark chocolate because the bitterness of the chocolate is nicely foiled by the sweetness of the caramel, so you're not getting a tooth-achingly sweet treat.  This one was not super sweet, and I really enjoyed it!

B.T. McElrath - Salted Butter Caramel Dark Chocolate Bites - $0.64

As I said above, I like dark chocolate with caramel, so this was my favorite!

Quin Candy - Dreams Come Chew - $12.00

These are SO good.  I'm sad that they're so expensive, because these are like Starburst but 1000% times better because they're actually soft and chewy.  The flavors are amazing too!

Clairesquares - Caramel Chocolate Shortbread Square - $3.00

My first bite, I thought: "meh, crumbly cookie,"  by my second bite though, I started thinking "This is REALLY good."  There are layers of flavors here:  buttery (and I mean very buttery) shortbread, chewy, sweet caramel, and then a hit of chocolate on the top.  This is really something special, and I found myself regretting the fact that there was only one in my box, and that I ate the whole thing in one sitting.  Do yourself a favor, and try these.

Treatsie5

J&M Foods - Chocolate Chip Pecan Cookies - $2.90

I was nervous about trying these, because I am a cookie purist - no nuts in my cookies!  The nut flavor in these is really minimal, so minimal that I couldn't taste it.  So I enjoyed these, but if you're looking for a nutty cookie, these may not be it.

Verdict:  This Treatsie box has a value of $21.68, which is pretty standard for Treatsie boxes.  I really loved several of the items in this box, so overall this box was a win for me!  I would definitely buy two of the items on my own to snack on (the Quin chews, and the Clairesquare), and the others, I enjoyed but wouldn't pick them myself!

Bekki first discovered subscription boxes in 2014 and they quickly took over her life! (Not quite, but pretty close.) She started with POPSUGAR Must Have, then moved to Little Lace Box, Birchbox, Hamptons Lane...the rest was history. Her favorite product find is Beekman 1802 Fudge (so, so good) and her favorite boxes are Birchbox and Hamptons Lane...but she's always looking for a new subscription to try!

I got the Quin chews in Orange Glad’s May box and they were so good, like Starbursts for adults. Would love to get more. I’m switching to Treatsie now because OG raised their rates about 30% (well, for new subscribers anyway; “only” 15% for existing subscribers, but I don’t care to stick around to see how long that grandfather clause holds). It looks like Treatsie is very similar but less expensive.

I missed out on the Quin too.

Wow, Treatsie really marks up items in their shop, perhaps to give an illusion of a better value in the monthly box or purely for profit. For example, the J&M Foods Chocolate Chip Pecan Cookies (2.5 oz) sells on the manufacturer’s site for $2.90 and $5.00 for the same size on Treatsie’s website. Treatise also charges shipping for each item so it’s not as though the extra cost is justified. I find that to be the case for many of their items.

FYI–the Quin candy price listed as $12.00 is for the bag containing 24 chews rather than the one received in the March box which contained 10 chews and is priced at $6.50.
