Scratch Monthly Mani Box
4.2 overall rating
6 Ratings | 4 Reviews

The Monthly Mani Box (MMB) by Scratch is a nail wrap subscription service.  Every month Scratch collaborates with different artists to curate the MMB.

“Our wraps are screenprinted on a thin adhesive with 5-free polish inks.  They go on smoothly and last like real nail polish.  Unlike other nail wraps, ours look like genuine nail polish when applied!”

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Eye Heart You Nail Wraps - Value: $8.00

Not my favorite nail wraps this month.  I can use the hearts, and I’m glad they come in a few different sizes, but I can’t say I’d use the Yinyang, bulky arrow or the “eye”.  Just not my style.

HeartBeats Nail Wraps - Value: $8.00

I’m not really feeling these wraps either.  Dare I say too plain!  I guess you could play it up with fancy nail polish, but I think I’d rather add these to the gift pile.  Not too crazy, and who doesn’t fancy pink or red polish!

Love Is... Nail Wraps - Value:$8.00

Yesss!!  Love all these.  They’re almost so perfect and fun that I don’t want to use them.  I think I’ll grab an extra from the shop while they’re on sale.  Totally adorable and all the hearts are small enough for Abigail’s fingers.  Finally!  We do a lot of Mommy Daughter nail looks, I think it would be fun to use the purple hearts for Abi and pink hearts for me!  There’s only two sheets of each, but I’ll make it work

Tools

Cuticle Pusher/ Accent Tool - Value: $1.00

Mini Nail File - Value: $1.00

Deluxe Nail File - Value: $2.00

Every month we receive a cuticle pusher and nail file to help finish the nail wraps.  And you already know who claimed the Valentine file, Abigail!  She’s such a “big” girl now, she can do her own filing.  Well, I tightened it up after her.

Surprise Gift

TruJoy Sweets - Cherry Lollipop  - Value: $.50

Sold at an array of stores from WholeFoods to Krogers.  These are pretty good and are certified organic!

Accents

Cuticle Oil - Value: $5.00

Without a label, it’s hard to put a price tag on this cuticle oil.  It’s nice. We’ve received a ton of cuticle products this past year and they are all different.  Abigail likes to practice by herself now and this bottle was so tiny I chaperoned and let her go crazy.  I love that it gives just a nice sheen with one layer, but believe me, Abigail’s cuticles came out much glossier!! LOL.

Verdict:  This February, the Monthly Mani Box has an estimated retail value around $34.00.  Barely over the cost of the subscription, we know this is pretty standard for Monthly Mani.  I loved all the little extras this month, but wasn’t a fan of all the wraps.  No matter your nail tech level, I think this is a must try subscription for any nail polish lover.

Have you actually applied these and they last? Do you like them? I tried the mini monthly for 2 months, both times the wraps were just okay, and I felt they went on very poorly, and ripped very easily, and once I had them on, I didn’t feel like they lasted like I thought they should. I got maybe two days out of them before they started chipping and peeling

At first I thought I read that this subscription was $10 and was really excited, so I went to sign up, but realised it’s actually $30 (+$8). I would love a sub like this, but keep the price under $20. (Maybe Incoco will join the subscription market!)
