Each box comes with a card detailing the month’s brand partners

The box card does not indicate a specific theme, but the items all seem food/kitchen related.

La Luna Salt Company Dill Salt (1.5 oz.) – $6

This salt is infused with dill and is recommended for use with marinades, spreads, salads, fish and dips. I love dill and I’m looking forward to using some on my Greek salads. I think a flavored salt is a fun addition to a lifestyle box!

They also included a sample size pouch of chocolate chip cookie sugar. This is made with smoked sugar and cacao beans. It is sweet and slightly smoky and was delicious sprinkled on my plain yogurt with fresh sliced strawberries.

Inspirational Quote – $5

Cooking is Love – made visible everyday…

This is a cute quote printed on cardstock. It’s about the size of a postcard so I feel this value is inflated.

Beauty Within Us Caffeine Enhanced Anti-Cellulite Coffee Cream – $10

This cream smells good enough to eat! It’s filled with wonderful ingredients like Cocoa butter, shea butter and olive oil. While I can’t attest to the claims about helping rid me of cellulite, I’m happy to give it a shot. Maybe my thighs will thank me in a couple of weeks…The Beauty Within Us website lists the price for this cream as $8.99 but there is no size information on my jar so maybe that’s the slight pricing discrepancy. I love discovering new small batch companies and there are quite a few products I’d be interested in checking out on their site.

Candy Buckingham bracelet – $12

This fun beaded bracelet has an eclectic mix of wooden beads, metal discs, and assorted plastic beds. It’s adjustable which is nice to fit different sized wrists. This particular bracelet isn’t on their website and I am unable to find another that’s even similar. Candy Buckingham is a website that sells all different handmade jewelry and hand painted glassware.

Hello! Bliss Box’s own Embrace the Mess apron -$22

Love the saying on the front of the apron. I don’t wear an apron while I cook, but this will be passed along as a nice gift. This is a polyester/cotton blend apron which feels pretty lightweight. I think the value may be a little inflated for this item.

UPDATE: Hello! Bliss reached out to let us know they normally send a 5×7 inspirational quote on heavier cardstock compared to the 4×6 inspirational quote that came in this month’s box. Next month’s box will be back to the 5×7 version!

Verdict: I enjoyed my first Hello! Bliss Box. The kitchen/food theme was fun. The retail value of the items in this box totals approximately $55. Though I feel some of the items are overinflated I appreciate the curation and love finding new small batch companies.

What do you think of this month’s Hello! Bliss Box? Which item from the box would you be most excited to receive?

  1. Thanks for the wonderful review Jessica! A quick note if we may, The inspirational quotes that come in every box are typically 5×7 in size on heavy cardstock (for framing or keeping at the office for daily inspiration)! This month, our printing company accidentally sent us much smaller 4×6 prints on the wrong stock… Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough time to have them replaced before our boxes shipped on the 5th. We apologize to our customers and reviewers for the mistake on our end 🙂 Cheers~

    • Thanks for letting me know!

  2. Jessica, thanks for the nice review! I am trying to wrap my morning brain around putting smoked sugar on my yogurt?!

    • It’s sweet and tasted like cocoa with a hint of smokiness. Really interesting!

  3. Welcome, Jessica! Fun review. 🙂

    • Thank you!

  4. If someone hugged my while I was wearing that apron, I wouldn’t know whether to hug them back or hit them with a frypan.

    • LOL!!!!!

    • Oh, that is too funny!!!

Welcome, Jessica! I look forward to more reviews!

      • Thanks! ?

  5. Oh my gosh! I was just talking to someone about cellulite creams the other day and whether or not you can prevent cellulite. Do you think you’ll be able to post an update once you’ve tried the cream?

    • The caffeine does topically exactly what it does when you drink it: It constricts blood vessels for a few minutes. That’s why you can delude yourself into thinking that you’re more “pulled in” after applying caffeine to your skin. It has zero effect or influence on fatty tissues. Blood vessels will constrict for a little while, then return to their usual size. The fat will continue to just sit there.

      • That’s a shame. 🙁

I don’t really have visible cellulite right now, but I’m trying to prevent it (and other issues). I guess I better just stick to eating healthier and exercising.

        • It is hard to prevent – it is genetic. So don’t be stressed if you get it or blame yourself!

          • Thanks ladies. 🙂

    • Hi Cat,
I’m happy to give an update once I’ve used the cream. I too have heard it’s combination diet and genetics though.

    • Hi Cat!
Just wanted to update you as promised. No change in my cellulite unfortunately. But I’m super moisturizer! 🙂
