When I signed up for Cairn, they asked me to do a huge questionnaire for customization purposes. It asked questions about the types of outdoor activities I like, and I chose hiking, camping (car), backpacking, and yoga. They had loads of options, though, like rock climbing, moutain biking, fishing -- just about everything I could think of! They also asked a few lifestyle questions (kids? dogs?) plus basics like t-shirt size.
All this leads me to believe that contents may vary from subscriber to subscriber, so if you subscribe but get different things, please let me know!

Hydaway 21 oz. Collapsible Bottle - Value $20
I've received dozens of water bottle in subscription boxes before, but I've never received one like this! It collapses to fit in your pocket! This is brilliant for day hikes, but it's also brilliant for just running around in general, too.
Skratch Labs Fruit Drops Energy Chews - Value $2.45
These are yummy, and a clean source of simple carbs for use during prolonged exercise. I don't think my exercise ever gets prolonged enough to need these, but they are good to have for the kids.
Skratch Labs Exercise Hydration Mix - Value $1.95
The flavoring for both these Skratch Labs products comes from only real fruit, so that's good. This drink mix is also full of simple sugars and electrolytes. This is another one I will keep on hand for the children!
Nite Ize Inova Squeeze Light II - Value $4.99
This is the perfect mini flashlight for your keychain, belt loop, or anywhere else you can attach it! This is super lightweight, rugged, and powerful.
Aloe Up Pro Ultra Sport SPF 50+ - Value $10.95
This looks like a great sunscreen for outdoor adventures! It's non-greasy and won't run into your eyes. It's also waterproof for up to 80 minutes.

Verdict: We love our Cairn subscription! We have discovered so many new and useful products for our camping and hiking adventures through Cairn. I have noticed the value of products in my Cairn subscription has gone down a bit lately, but it is still much higher than the cost of the box. This month's package has a value of about $40, which is great for a $25 box!
